981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: November 11, 2023, 07:18:16 AM
It appears the GG squad is staying together after they've made the confirmation through their Twitter post and Dyrachyo's hint was only to bait us.  Tongue
Yeah, that's enough for the rumors about Tundra Esports taking over the roster of Gaimin Gladiators. At least we get that fact now that they're going to stick for this upcoming season. I think that they will achieve more. So this is now going to head the attention to the Tundra Esports if they will rebuild or will just leave out of the scene. But since they've got sponsors and probably contracts with them, I think that we will expect an announcement of them with new players/roster.

Yup, we're on that opinion and the same for thinking that "like" they're going to dominate to their region but just as in the past. There have been teams that are from that region thinking that they will dominate. So going on with some other news, we've got some more.
On top of that, Azure Ray might be getting a downgrade as i've been seeing hints on Reddit about the three veterans(Somnus, Chalice, and Fy) planning to take a break.
It's different from what I've seen. Well, if these are just rumors I think that it's likely that these three will take a break coming from a journey of this year that's full of pressure for most of them. Somnus never disappoints honestly, just like the champs, he deserves to take a break and of course chalice and fy.

IIRC, Insania has hinted that their new offlaner has got a lot of viewers but I can't remember if he has mentioned if that guy is specific from a region like EU. Anyway, this seems to be a good replacement for zai as he takes away from the scene indefinitely. This basically means that Tundra Esports has officially no roster for now so, it's out or rebuild.
Afaik, he mentioned from the CIS region and I thought it was DM or a promising CIS player from one of the EEU teams.
Qojqva was likely the most rumored guy that will take the spot. But 33 is more experienced and a better choice for them. I guess that this is just the same as zai as both of them are the best offlaners currently on this meta.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: November 10, 2023, 11:19:32 PM
Yep. But she has to find me some other hobbies that I may like or else I'll just go back to gambling after showing her the affection that she needs from me. Honestly, if you like to get married and settle with the person you really love, you'll do whatever it takes to be with her/him and give up what they think is going to affect your relationship.

If you can do that, that's one way of gaining their trust and you shouldn't break that trust because that will stain to your relationship. So, it's going to life and death decision for you if you can't let go of gambling. But for most of us here, this is an easy answer and we can just give it up and let things forgotten when we get to that point, right?
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sad reality: some countries gamble more than they can afford on: November 10, 2023, 10:17:56 PM
What do you think about this issue where people gamble too much in countries where the vast majority of the population isn't well off?
It's because of poverty and people think that one way to solve poverty is through gambling. This isn't something new and this situation is everywhere. The people that are in the poverty line don't think a lot of any solution from the government so they find ways to solve it on their own and one of it is through gambling.

Life is full of struggles for sure and that's why they do it through gambling that they're making such choice that they think is risky and could also put them into a harder situation. But what they can do if their choices are limited and they need a helping hand to keep with them but no help is found.

Should governments step in and restrict casinos more perhaps?
Government programs and cash for work won't do anything with this. If it's already embedded in the minds of the citizens, they will gamble with or without the help of the government. It's going into addiction and from there, the problem will be harder for them to solve.
984  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: November 10, 2023, 09:27:49 PM
the site looks interesting. But the main thing i don`t like that i need to register. And everywhere i see the button of registration. And i can`t test site totally without registration.
It's normal to have a registration button since they're going to give away a lot of materials for free for those who want to quit gambling and this could really be a great help for them. The data that they'll gather through registration could be used by them to have that data sent to the advertisers for them to earn with this free service. This is what we get from free services, we're the product but at the same time it's like give and take for both users and the platform itself. They have a good initiative and advocacy on this one because many gamblers really need help.

While many of those don't have money anymore to seek for professional help, a free service like this is their go-to for their own assessment and help that they need to have. It's just free to register so if it's something that couldn't really make you test them, it's okay as there's no forcing of people to register.

Although they have materials that you can go through their website without having the need to register. All of those information that are displayed, that's all what you will get without registration and they're not that bad at all.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 10, 2023, 08:21:45 PM
So there is goes, the roster shuffle has already happened for some teams. But before that, the news about Team Spirit participating the ESL Kuala Lumpur won't happen anymore because they've just said that they need to take more rest and due to health issues and that's why they're not going to participate the tournament.

Okay, moving on, Team Secret has put Heen into inactive as their coach and the same goes for Armel. They have a new roster now, they've added two players on their roster since FBZ was just a loan so, there goes the mid laner and their offlane namely;

  • MidOne
  • BOOM

That's the two additions plus Puppey, yamich and Crystallis.

It looks like Puppey is really confidenet with MidOne. They worked for quite some time and the guy seems to be an okay core overall, although compared to the new cores that are appearing left and right, he's nowhere near the top. He can use the likes of Puppey and Crystallis for help in winning games.
AFAIK, they've got some beef before and that's why MidOne has left the team or he was kicked. But maybe both of them has moved on already so, that's a good luck for their new roster.

For Tundra Esports, only 33 is left on the original roster. Nine, sneyking and skiter are out of the roster while we know that saksa is on health recovering. Skiter, sneyking, ATF, ma1rine and cr1t will be playing for Team Falcons.

There will be more from the roster shuffles, so let's discuss guys.

Perhaps this is the reason why Tundra wants to buy all of GG. Then again, there are some players who are rumored to leave the org, so I don't know if this will serve Tundra any good or not.
And that rumors tend to be true and they're not left with anyone anymore except Topson but it is most likely that he's also going to leave the team soon.

Aside from that, Im not sure why Puppey decide to take back Midone alongside BOOM that he kicked out before lol.

He probably left with no other options as of now huh especially because they gotta start on division 2 (?). Im not sure if they actually will because Valve decided to scratch off the DPC so that means every teams will start on the same division this 1st season? Pretty weird that they have announced nothing so far
Yeah, both was kicked AFAIK. Actually, he's got a lot of option if he's willing to explore more and that's why a lot of roster shuffles always happen post-TI. But since it's just a month away til the ESL Kuala Lumpur happens, they need also preparation and that's why he has decided just to get back the two.

Also, the TI winners won't participate in the ESL One KL as an update was posted through ESL's Twitter . Now i'm curious to see the teams participating in the closed qualifiers since they got the extra slot from TS.
That's sad. I guess that they're going to observe the participating teams while taking a rest that they deserve. They're gonna go into hibernation and will only comeback when the prize pool for a tournament is a lot and they need to take it. LOL.

Moving on, Blacklist International has already announced its Dota 2 roster.
Their roster looks like it'll dominate the SEA region, but I don't want to get my hopes up for now.
Yup, we're on that opinion and the same for thinking that "like" they're going to dominate to their region but just as in the past. There have been teams that are from that region thinking that they will dominate. So going on with some other news, we've got some more.

  • BOOM Esports finally said goodbye to their Dota 2 roster and they're out with Dota 2.
  • There is a rumor about the roster including Ame, XinQ and Y.

Also, 33 is officially joining Team Liquid seems pretty good when his playstyle is similar to Zai.

It seems that entire GG team is disbanding after all and latest news are that : Quinn and Dyrachyo might join Tundra Esports.

Well if this happens , Topson will be moved to pos 4 ? or what ? because Quinn doesn't play anything besides MID and if this is true , I think Topson will be kicked out of Tundra.
I'm not sure if Topson is going to migrate from being a midlaner to a position 4. But it seems that Tundra is going to adopt him for a while while the team is about to rebuild. If it's not going to rebuild, then for sure that he's going to be released. He's still one of the most desired midlaners and for sure teams that have vacant mid laners will take him.

There are also rumors than both Skitter and Skeyking left Tundra because of Topson and his idea of Dota 2. Undecided
AFAIK, they've already left for Team Falcons. Yes, both of them have likely left already for that team.

Moving on, Blacklist International has already announced its Dota 2 roster.

  • Raven
  • Abed
  • Gabbi
  • Tims
  • Carlo from Execration before

988  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: November 09, 2023, 11:48:38 PM
I think that to avoid over expenses a person must experience first what it is like to live under pressure of owing money to someone. Real life experience is what differs theory from practice.
That's the start and that's what we call learning from his/her own experience. Because if you never experience the hardship of living under pressure and having nothing, you'll still be the type of person that never grown. Over expenses is a spending habit that you shouldn't really adopt even if you're the richest person in the world. Look at those people, their overspending habit are on assets and not with useless things.

We can say a lot about making budget, planning, avoid impulsive purchases. But people would still get tricked by taking wrong decisioins. But if we already know what will life would be, when we have already burned, then it will be much easier to avoid.
Especially on this generation, about the healing the inner child when they're still thinking of the things that they have never bought because they can't avail it and now that they've grown up, it's like checking all of those things that are on their list. It's gonna be a nonstop list and checking and that's part of over spending and losing their discipline towards their money habits and management.

It's true that we get to plan and budget but most of the times when we're no longer disciplined, we're not following all of those plans, the budgeting and etc. Because what we're thinking is we can afford it despite that it's not really part of the plan.

While the time passes by, you'll see more high price speculations especially when it starts to hit the 6 digits mark. That's where most of the gurus, crypto experts and even normal enthusiasts will be happy to predict their own numbers and it's going to be everywhere. This is one of the great beauty of this market, we're all free here, free to come, free to go, free to predict, free to listen but taking those it's all up to us.
You forgot another free thing to do and that is free to buy any amount we want. I do agree with you that some people do say that it is expensive for them to buy but I think they are not thinking that you may buy in smaller amount and doesn't have to be a Bitcoin when they want to buy.
Yeah, thanks for adding that. We're free to buy any amount at any time. That's also one of the best things that we can always remember about Bitcoin. People think of the high price but they don't want to dive in and believe that they can buy at any price that they wish to when they have the money ready to buy in for the market.

I am sure you know what I mean about it and if they bought Bitcoin like $1000 then that's what they will have but the amount won't be the same as it depends on the price.
Yeah mate, no worries. I understand it and that's what they're also missing when they just look at the projection of the price of Bitcoin and then forget everything about it. They can buy cheaply but of course they'll only get a certain quantity of Bitcoin since the price is higher but they're forgetting that many times Bitcoin got into a bearish turn and they did just ignored it.

Well see what they will do when it happen.
What they like to do is to buy when it's moving up because FOMO is real by that time.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Treating bitcoin as a teenager. on: November 09, 2023, 10:32:48 PM
It is okay to speculate and predict with high predictions and that's what freedom of expression is. We all know that Bitcoin is still young considering that many people think that it's highly priced already and way too expensive for them to buy. But that's not the point, we're basing its performance in the past and those high speculations are basing it from there.

And it is a normal thing because bitcoin is highly speculative and this is what this market is all about, a speculative market just as how its main asset is in. I understand the point and people shouldn't expect a lot so when it isn't reached, you don't get hurt with your feelings. That is a good concern.

While the time passes by, you'll see more high price speculations especially when it starts to hit the 6 digits mark. That's where most of the gurus, crypto experts and even normal enthusiasts will be happy to predict their own numbers and it's going to be everywhere. 992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable Node coin in altcoins now on: November 09, 2023, 09:54:38 PM
The coin is still under development and no apps have been built on it yet you can check their roadmap plus bro please read more about it its not a mineable coin its pos+MN
I get it when people are optimistic about a project and it's not yet developed then there goes the folks that run node for it. That is because if the project becomes developed and there goes what's inside the whitepaper and written on their roadmap then for sure it's going to be profitable for people like you.

The effort that you have exerted on running a node for them is surely going to give you a lot of coins or tokens if the time comes that they're already in the market and they've been listed to any exchange. And people are misunderstanding what's the meaning of pos/node(mn) and mining.

But that's not a matter, as long as you're effort is there and you believe that it's the most profitable altcoin for running a node, of course you are bias because that's the coin that you're running a node right now. But for sure that there are others that will argue to you that they also know what's the most profitable and that's the one that they are in just as you.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: November 09, 2023, 09:31:22 PM
There are not that many players on some tables of the popular crypto poker websites now. I think it's best for them to keep it exclusive to their very own network and not to tandem and venture with other poker websites. That's the perk of being on stake and they've got their own network and don't need to collaborate with the others.

But if they're also kind and looking forward to have ventures with other networks integrating their system and network with the others, it's also good though.

It is to make the job easier if they're going to let the actual providers do the job for them and let just the brand name itself be attached to it. But it's actually a nice idea to make the poker crypto nights live again because it seems that it's being forgotten by the most. And since there are new ones that want to learn about it, we'll just have to wait to the final day announcement and launch of it.
Exclusiveness has benefits. Keeping a unique environment that gives players a unique experience is a power move. Quality and exclusivity are shown by the site's network. Although it's difficult, they appear to be doing their best to keep the community close and the games intimate.

Intergrating with other networks could add new energy and players. Crypto poker nights, which are declining, may revive with the collaboration. Alligning with others while keeping their brand's strength and integrity is a brilliant move.

With the new launch so anticipated, Stake.com is likely considering these possibilities. Every action is likely calculated to ensure they serve their community well.
They already have a huge based of players and customers and that's why whatever will be the setup of it, for sure that they won't go with zero players on their tables and that's why those poker players are only waiting for the right time to check on how they'd with this.
If it's something usable and likeable by most of them then they will have to stay on it and check if it's a good environment.

The feeling of being exclusive might be considered and that's not going to be taken away from their players so, I guess that's the best option that they have to do. An exclusive tables for their users and those that are not yet registered will register to try and check them out just as what people are voicing about them.

New faces may spark curiosity and attract keen learners. That final declaration will change everything, so let's wait.
That is what I am saying that there will be for sure new registrants that will like to see how it's good and beneficial for them. Yeah, it's just going to be a matter of time so we wait.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: November 09, 2023, 08:57:50 PM
it won't be hard if you are talking about small funds. but if the amount is already thousands of dollars, before you fund any gambler, you should know their history, your chances and the reputation of the person, whether he will respect your arrangement or not. to be honest, hard to trust gamblers when it comes to money.
Someone who's known to be a financier will have his standards on who he is going to finance. For sure that he's going to know the background of that gambler and if he's got what it takes to be financed. But you're right, that trust is the issue on this one. If you're a good gambler and you've got money to gamble with, much better stop with these financing and just go with your actual gambling need and do the bets on your own.

And you'll never know if the gambler himself will just take a call and say that he's lost everything. Wherein fact, that he's just collected the money and gamble a bit and left the casino without any trace. That's the hard part and there are still scammers around with this kind of deal.

poker game is different though. when you say a gambler knows this game so much, there's high probability that he can really win.
There are a lot of professional poker players but they're not going to let them be financed by anyone if they know that they have the big chance to win every table. That's how pro they are when they've got that feeling and thought that it's an easy thing for them to win through having good cards and good in bluffing too.
995  Economy / Economics / Re: AI will put an end to work, says Elon Musk on: November 09, 2023, 01:16:47 PM
Possible and those movies that we've watched before that have robots and rebelled against their masters and humanity, that could happen. As much as I don't want to think about it that won't make sense honestly because they're just a few taps away. They are continuously learning and that's what we're seeing with AI and even the developers of it know that it's plausible.
The movies aren't exaggerating there's a real risk to humans if we don't have frame works to regulate AI. If ppl know what's allowed they'll stick to the rules or else they'll go beyond limits. When it's about AI we shouldn't take it with a relaxed outlook because it's serious.
Yes, I know that there's a certain fact from those movies and the situation that we might be in the future. I think that the responsibility are with those developing companies that are into robots and AI. The integration that they make with it should be regulated so that they won't go that far but are we going to stop them with that? no.

But if the time comes that they go against humanity and they're violently programmed, I just hope that there will be organizations or unions for developers that they're going to avoid such programs that can develop into such. Someday works that can be done by AI will be there but I am sure that there will be newly generated tasks and jobs that can only be done by people.
If AI's going to be sentient it's always going to be a risk to humans so there's a possibility AI's going to turn against humanity.
The possibility is there but I won't be thinking that it will come to that point. We're still superior on this matter and I'm sure that those exaggerations won't come and I hope that it won't. Well, the potential is there but I don't want to think about that situation.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 10:44:02 AM
I do hope that most of the gamblers will think that they shouldn't do anything with others money and simply don't gamble with others money.
This is what I also say, never gamble with other people's money or you could say borrow money just to gamble, let alone recover previous losses, that will never be justified and must be avoided, there are many cases of gamblers who go bankrupt because their debts are too much so many gamblers do it. committed suicide and left debts and then all the burden was placed on his family.
We have seen how gamblers didn't own their money and yet they still proceeded to gamble knowing that it was not their money. Whether it is a loan, you still don't own that unless you fully paid it so that's also part of the criteria but much worse if you don't own it and you didn't loan it and yet, you've got the guts to use that money in gambling.

Don't ever try this, of course for beginners who don't understand and can control themselves, because losing at gambling is not the beginning of a disaster but there are lessons that must be taken to be able to play better in the next game, never try to recover from losses because it is very impossible to catch up with losses. In order to win, not everyone succeeds, so whoever it is, keep using money that is not used from yourself, it will be better and not money from other people.
As the title says, this is what everyone has to avoid because it's not going to give you a good ending when you gamble. Beginners or not, you shouldn't practice this because it is the reason why something is going to stop you from excelling or at least get to win those bets. If you ever believe in karma, if you are aggravating other people and you're the main cause, you will have the retaliation of it for sure.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: November 09, 2023, 08:30:29 AM
1) Do not gamble in work area : It is not ethical to do so. Your employer is paying you to work for him for certain hours. If you waste these hours for gambling, it is a bad habit.
At least give the company that you're working with the honor that you're not doing something else and you are honoring the working hours given to them by just doing things that are assigned to you in your workplace. Do not go that far that you'll use the company time for gambling, that just shows how jerk you are as an employee.

2) Do not take loan to gamble: Some young guys are so irresponsible that they take loans to gamble. It is a very bad move and can even produce life threatening conditions in future when loan recover agents knock your door.
Not only young guys but also the older gamblers are going into this situation. When they can't help themselves but to gamble and don't have money left on their pockets and they want to gamble, what they do is borrow money that they can't even afford to pay. Why? Because that money is surely going to lose no matter what they do, it's all going to the casino and they can't justify that because all they think is that they have to gamble no matter.

I do hope that most of the gamblers will think that they shouldn't do anything with others money and simply don't gamble with others money.

999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge coin everly hit $1? on: November 09, 2023, 06:58:10 AM
Why do altcoin don't have the characteristics of bitcoin? After the creation of bitcoin thousands of coin surface the crypto market, some altcoin became a huge success but some still reamain dumant and has no hope of even attaining the high of $1
You've just answered your question and that's because of the high supply that they've got and the main purpose that they've introduced to the people. So, for the likes of those meme coins or tokens, there is not that much hope for the newly created ones. They gain popularity and then make some buzz in the news and community and then what's next? Dump.

Dogecoin is one of a long time COIN that has been in existence for over 10years now. since December 2013 dogecoin hit 0.0000869 on may 6 2015 and today is $0.076 now am wondering if it could reach $1price after 10years compeard to Bitcoin.
Its peak was $0.7 and that was close to $1 that you guys are hoping for. I'm guessing that most of you have been holding thousands to millions of it but if you have never dumped that coin to the peak or at least close to that, you've missed the train. I am not saying that it is no longer going to peak again but we don't know when it does. As an altcoin, it follows the trend for Bitcoin but we saw that it didn't do much during 2021 bull run.

So in hopes of the next bull run maybe next year or two, if it don't move that much again then your expectations for it to reach $1 should be void. Remember that Dogecoin keeps on printing more supplies so it has an unlimited supply and that's why instead of deflating, its supply is inflating and its price will keep on decreasing, law of supply and demand mate.

Sadly this is a real thing.... "I saw my salary on a bottle of perfume today"! Some people see their salary on someone's breakfast bill.
Yeah, a sad truth. Someone sees their salary from others' small bills while we don't know how huge they have their paychecks. I've been there in the past and thought about how these people manage to reach those high salaries. Like a kid thinking of how he's going to get his desired toy displayed in the toy store. I guess that curiosity of mine helped me to figure out that it's not just all about the good job and salary they get but also how you like what you do, the passion should be there.

Some people are just working paycheck to paycheck, others work with high salaries but don't like what they do. While some, earn exactly what they need to bring food to the table and make ends meet but like what they're doing. I think everyone is facing any of that situation but we can be at the best shape of our careers and business if we work smart and hard on it.

While the people that have managed to get the work-life balance standing and earning decently and way above the standard. They have figured out their worth and managed to negotiate their expectations and salary to their interviews and from there, it starts to freedom through finance because they're able to buy things they desire. And the idea of being financially free starts from there as they've got more money to allot from things to things like investments and assets.
