4121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know the trustworthyness of a new coin? on: February 28, 2019, 07:36:20 AM
Hi people,
I am relatively new in this field. Having done some "trading" of alt coins in 2018, I would like to seek the opinion of more experienced traders and hopefully gain an insight as to how can I better differentiate coins with higher potential and coins which are basically crap.

Thanks in advance!
This is a question I have answered over and over again and will not stop answering it until everyone gets, you can identify the trustworthiness of a coin/token by studying the project behind those coin to see how feasible the project is.
We did not just jump into the purchase of bitcoin because we had faith that it would be worth a lot someday but because we read satoshi white paper and saw the feasibility of the project. So in one word, just do your own due diligence.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction 2019 – ETH Price May Touch $1450 In 2019 on: February 27, 2019, 01:12:25 PM
The massive decline in the value of Ethereum is basically as a result of the low rate of new Initial Coin Offerings coming in the market. Investors are now smarter; they now have a better understanding of the landscape. A lot of existing projects are now selling-off their Ether as a result of the crash in the value of the digital currency. Whether we will see a turnaround in the fate of the digital asset remains to be seen.

We can’t say if it will hit the heights it attained when things were better. That is another matter altogether. For now, however, it appears that there is no bottom deep enough for the Ether token.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin Gold? on: February 26, 2019, 06:59:06 PM
The Bitcoin Gold (BTG) project has been started by an anonymous developer with the initials "h4x3", along with Jak Liao, Founder of Lightning ASIC, one of the largest Bitcoin mining companies based in Hong Kong. They created Bitcoin Gold (BTG) to eliminate the dominance of giant companies on SHA 256 mining and provide an opportunity for new miners to participate in Bitcoin mining. What do you think about the future of BTG?
The past is an incredible pointer for future execution for BTG. One great motivation why great investors mostly are pulled to BTG mostly is the basically high potential, BTG’s earnings growth in the last five years has been an unexciting 15.48%, and during this same time, we should see the revenue grow drastically and net income is predicted to essentially shoot up, which generally is fairly significant. It’s clear that BTG will be a great investment.

With its few months into reality, Bitcoin Gold is extremely new to the crypto currency world, yet it keeps up a market top over $500 million and stays close to the best 30 of all cryptographic forms of money.
4124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum over take ripple again in market capitalization! on: February 25, 2019, 06:04:34 PM
I just think it is unfair for ethereum to be even compared to ripple to begin with. Ripple is just a shady company that makes deals with banks and financial companies in order to help them decrease their transaction prices and use ripple instead of the old methods and make money that way and people support that coin because all those banks doing all those transactions would be equal to a lot of ripple bought and moved and people bet on that but it is highly decentralized.

Look at ethereum, with its amazingly fast transactions (and cheap) and blockchain that has smart contracts and a lot of utility, ethereum is exactly what an improved and developed bitcoin could look like and we are still trying to show off which one is better, to me the war has been over for years, I would opt for ethereum over ripple any given day.
4125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Are There Many Projects Like This? on: February 21, 2019, 10:41:25 PM
Well, we can't do anything because all crypto are open source to public so every people have their own right to develop their own token.
When they offering ICO , make sure that you have select the correct one before it's too late.

It's difficult to find a great over thousand, but you can earn great profit !
Yes, this is the major problem of open source system. I hated this since we did start having many flours of Linux operating system. In my knowledge unix and then Linux is the first open source system and now a days every mobile phone manufacturer started to develop their own customized platform on android base. Android is another known open source based.

I guess there will be nothing wrong in having these many tokens or coins. But having them with duplicate purposes must be a big head ache for any investors and traders.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question to all ICO investors. on: February 21, 2019, 10:17:04 PM
What are the biggest sources, channels (YouTube channels/influencers, Twitter accounts/influencers etc, ICO rating websites) online that you use to find out in which ICO to invest in?
None of them I just follow this community's recommendations along with keep checking the announcement board more frequently. I do take lots of time before deciding my investment plans as it may cost some months of my hard work too if anything goes wrong.

I like to suggest you to go for doing your own due diligence before making any investments regardless of what input you will be getting from the resources you have mentioned.
4127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Positivity is necessary in the cryptocurrency space on: February 21, 2019, 10:01:40 PM
You always need to stay positive, because you can easily get depressed if you look at your portfolio right now. Always remember that after every big dump, comes even a greater pump. Hold your coins and stay patient.
Always good and nothing changes when it comes for cryptocurrencies space. But, staying positive is always being emphasized by people in this community as bitcoin is a good investment opportunity only in long term basis. So, staying positive may help anyone to hold for more times.
4128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT (Basic Attn coin) and Brave browser on: February 21, 2019, 09:37:08 PM
For now, there is no way to withdraw your BAT tokens. And that tokens which Brave browser has given you, are only using for tips. You can send tips if you want to bloggers which verified from Brave. Mean, you can't send also whoever you want. You can send only verified users.
That seems like a wired limitations. People never go for reading FAQ and other stuff but want to try freebies at first introduction itself. But, OP got a good initiative to start this topic so that now he could learn more needed information on brave browser before changing his iphone Wink.
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Cricket World Cup - Discussion & Analysis on: February 21, 2019, 09:13:18 PM
You got countdown timer and schedule of the tournament into OP but you are still missing out the major part of this discussion that must be providing few direct link to betting sites where we are able to bet on cricket matches. I guess most sportsbetting sites are not yet preparing themselves for this big event of cricket followers and cricket betters hence my suggestion may sound like too early one.
4130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale Work? on: February 21, 2019, 08:24:46 PM
How a mathematical thing will be also influenced by our luck factor ? I mean what will be the relation between a mathematical thing and and our emotional thing ? Only martingale strategy will be influenced by our luck factor or all other strategies also ? I am asking this because I want to know only this strategy will not work for gambling or all other strategies also will not work for our gambling ?

In my opinion, when a strategy is a mathematical thing then it should not be influenced by our luck factor. Even it will be influenced by luck than it should not be a strategy it is just another way of gambling and nothing else.
Probably he meant that martingale strategy is employed by gamblers against the random number generation of gambling houses. It means if you're lucky enough then you will get your favorable numbers in house's random number generation. Due to this reason we are facing continuous losing streaks when we are using martingale strategy.

I agree with you that martingale strategy is providing gamblers a method to gamble against the gambling house. In this method, we need to compete against random number generations. In this part we must need luck so that we will not have long continuous losing streaks. Regarding in this part, martingale strategy has nothing to do.
4131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 21, 2019, 08:08:20 PM
In contradict to most people here, I am not finding any disadvantage with my gambling. I gamble for money and for entertainment as well. But, I love what I am doing hence I believe there are less possibilities for me to list out any disadvantages I am facing with my gambling.

When something is profitable to you through your own gambling or by affiliate income or through bank-roll investments, I guess no one might be having any inconveniences with that. I know how to gamble regardless of whether I am trying in dicing or slots or lottery. I know my limits and I know when to quit for a day or for week. I enjoy my gambling along with my cryptos.
That is really great to hear. I believe every gambler here will be learning something from you but you're not sharing exactly what you are doing with your gambling. I mean how you are controlling yourself against your limits for gambling.

If you mind to share more information about how you are gambling and what are the practice your following to safeguard yourself against gambling addiction will be helpful for many people to overcome the disadvantages they are facing with gambling.
4132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 21, 2019, 07:50:43 PM
When we are not affordable to money we are betting then it will cause lot of life problems to us,initially gambling luck maybe on our side but after than all our money got eaten through bets so don't try to gamble for money just look for other ways to make your money.
Affordable money is a criteria for safe gambling but eventually after some long stay with gambling it will definitely will eat your brain and money regardless of your gambling with your affordable money or not. Please note, only after long stay. It means if you gamble occasionally then you can escape from wasting your money and getting affected mentally by gambling.

Gambling is known for disturbing our attention and focus. This is possible even for new gamblers who are all not addicted to gambling yet. Because, the excitement we are getting from gambling is powerful enough to make us think about it all the times and we may not capable of focusing into our regular life. When we are thinking about something all the times then definitely we will spend for it which will lead to wasting money obviously.
4133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your general sentiment on soft-caps for ICO's? on: February 21, 2019, 05:53:54 PM
Is it necessary for an ICO to have soft-cap or does it show a sign of weakness and missing confidence?
There are a lot of things needs to be considered when a project is not able to reach soft cap and then the hard cap.
Because, there are a lot of reasons could be behind this scenario like devs might have set some unrealistic target for their ICO and the another reason might be obviously investors may not be interested nor not get convinced with that project to invest with them.

When devs are not realistic about their target cap setting then that also must be a weak point about them and their capability. They must be capable of foreseeing the future of their product and studying market for that only will help them to eliminate such mistakes.
4134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should we be expecting a bull run? on: February 21, 2019, 05:16:11 PM
to expect to improve it must be once because with good hope it will come true. so my own hope this year is that the market can rise again like last 2017
Anything will be possible along with this bull run but we need to be more realistic because after a heavy downfall in 2018, I'm just hesitating to call for similar events of 2017 as it might be to early to expect that to happen again in this crypto space. Since I'm repeating anything will be possible here in this crypto space. Hence, we must need to be preferred to have any long and strong bull run too.

At the minimum level, we can expect bitcoin prices to test at least $10k levels within this year and if that will be happening, I believe we can mark this year also a good year for all the cryptos.
4135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction 2019 – ETH Price May Touch $1450 In 2019 on: February 21, 2019, 04:53:32 PM
likelihood of ETH pumping to any price above $500 is pretty small due to the fact that ICOs died last year and the only way of survival hope that ethereum had died with them because it has no other usage anymore.
also considering the huge unlimited supply that it has, you can be sure to see a lot of resistance on the way which will only grow the higher the price goes.
But I do see even $500 also will be a very big achievement for ethereum as its ICO industry had earned very big bad name among investors hence devs now started to consider other platform for their ICO. This is the reason now a days we are having many new ICOs are coming out based on EOS and waves platforms.

Ethereum may face a very hard time in this year. Because, lots of scammy ICOs had damaged the fame of ethereum. Also, I never consider this unlimited coin for my long term holding.
4136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With Low Trading Volume? on: February 21, 2019, 04:14:09 PM
We have to see how the team develops the project, at the beginning the token has a small volume but it is not easy and requires time to develop the project.
I think not all tokens with small volumes do not have good potential.
Even in the beginning days of any project/token we can see huge volume at all the exchanges it has been listed out.
Hence, I believe we do not need to bother about how the team is developing the project to identify whether it is good or not through trading volume.

When a token is not having healthy trading volume then we can easily understand something is not going as per the expectation of investors and traders and it would be much better to stay away from that token instead of considering low-volume as a criteria for choosing a token.
4137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm NOT Buying Ethereum... on: February 21, 2019, 03:23:23 PM
I think Ethereum is worth investing. In just a few years, the price of ETH has increased so much. I will pay attention to Ethereum for a long time.
Only time will decide whether ethereum will be worth for investing or not because unlike last few years now it is facing heavy competition with a similar other coins. That is the reason many people are considering that ethereum may not get back high value like it had done in the past.

Its unlimited supply must be another concern for many people when a coin is having inflationary nature it may not be suitable for long term holding. The final thing must be ethereum based tokens massive scam scenarios, which had made very bad name for ICO industry and for ethereum as well.
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash is going to zero out?? on: February 21, 2019, 01:48:03 PM
It is unlikely that it will "zero out" because the people behind bitcoin cash are super rich and they can continue buying bitcoin cash for more money and sell it for less so they can keep it alive. It is a future profit deal for them to lose money now in order to make money later on.

I have seen a smaller version myself where a person I know made a new coin and airdropped it to people and he literally sold and bought enough of his coin to keep it alive for a long time and when investors realized it didn't went down thanks to him spending money on it they started to buy it more and that is when he was capable of selling as well which means price was stuck between what he wants it to be higher than and what he wants to sell it.

Bitcoin cash is that simple, at a certain price bitcoin cash people will hold it above a price but will also sell it for a certain price which means it won't zero out but it won't go too high neither.
4139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: February 21, 2019, 11:52:35 AM
I prefer keep holding because it gives you a better chance of better reward. Not holding for a while neither, I mean holding for years. I am collecting bitcoin like its going to be a million dollars one day, I doubt it will ever reach those prices but I do believe that if I react like that even if it reaches 50 thousand dollars one day I will be super rich. Having 9 bitcoins at these prices equals to 36 thousand dollars or so and if it reaches to 36 thousand dollars (which I believe one day it will) that means 9 times the profit which equals to having 324 thousand dollars.

Look at the difference, 36 thousand dollars could make a lot of changes in ones life, you can live in USA and change small things like get a new car, or you can live in a third world country like me and get a house if you want. However, having 324 thousand dollars even in USA would change a lot while in a third world country could change your whole life.
4140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think crypto trading can help nation with no Job create jobs? on: February 21, 2019, 10:39:54 AM
Well I won't say crypto trading will create job for those that don't have jobs in a country because it takes funds to trade you know. If they don't have jobs, then how do they get fund to begin with. It would only create jobs if the government of those countries are willing to give out funds to people without jobs so that they can trade and maybe return a percentage of their profit back to the government.
