2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: March 31, 2014, 05:07:45 AM
When the hell is this coin gonna be released?
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] LOVEcoin – Love Never Fails | POW+POS | Escrowed IPO >>> Invest Now! on: March 31, 2014, 05:06:23 AM
This coin has zero innovation and is Bullshit. The IPO is only a small percentage of the total coins. People are likely to lose money once the I predict pump and dump is over in less than 1 week.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets keep up the "glass is half full attitude" on: March 31, 2014, 04:29:40 AM
If I want investments based mainly on sentiment and Euphoria I would tune into CNBC and buy the DOW pumped by the FED stocks.

People, don't replace knowledge with emotion. Emotion can sustain a pump and dump but it won't sustain an unviable product. Let the market work...

The reality is the market is going through one of two things,

One the market for Bitcoin and alts is dropping, genuine demand is falling as people question the value of the innovation.

Two it's a short term market sentiment drop that is a buying opportunity in a long term rally up. I believe it's this one. But I also think the drop off in many alt coins could be a genuine fundamental realisation that most aren't going to make it. I expect consolidation of the alt coins at some point of a top tier and lower tier coins. I'm certainly not seeing the big pumps working anymore on new gimmicky coins.

Let the market run and price crap as crap and great investments accordingly...you just need to work out which is which.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An altcoin that can be mined on a SmartPhone's CPU!!! on: March 31, 2014, 04:18:57 AM
You already can, Boinc for Gridcoin and I think still Ripple. Be prepared for your phone to be too hot to hold and a battery life of 5 minutes....
2065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone tell me what the hell is Marinecoin? on: March 30, 2014, 06:51:13 PM
I was just looking at the website. It's kind of funny, almost a spoof. Price prediction in 6 months they have an infinity sign hahahahahahaha.

Is it on any exchanges?

I'm sorry but if the price rises I want to buy it, I would buy dog turds if the value increased.

2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look what the hell is Marinecoin? on: March 30, 2014, 06:43:49 PM
It's the most annoying coin out there. Keep an eye on the the people shilling it.

Actually I didn't much about it on here, I just looked at the thread and it's only a few pages and again tells me nothing apart from its got some connection to Maritime Law! What the hell does that mean.

I wouldn't care but the price often goes up....

Look, it's above Bitcoin, why the hell is it above Bitcoin???

2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can someone tell me what the hell is Marinecoin? on: March 30, 2014, 06:40:38 PM
I keep seeing this damn coin on the top of market cap sites above Bitcoin and the price keeps going up.

What the hell is it, and how can I buy some and should I buy some?

The website of the coin left me none the wiser....
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Numus' Features? Decentralized Exchange and more on: March 30, 2014, 11:22:58 AM
I think we're getting sidetracked a bit here, this seems to be turning into a NXT bashing thread

You're ridiculous, you went into a huge tirade against NXT out of the blue and then are suggesting others have turned the thread into NXT bashing.

But the real ridiculous thing and I don't care if you deny it but i'm pretty sure by your desire to start this thread seperate to the Numus  and you desire to bash NXT while acting like you know nothing about this new coin when its just a fork of peercoin. But mainly its my gut hunch your the same guy who started the Numus thread and now are trying to funnel people into thinking its awesome.

BYE.....

Do you think I'm a friken child. I sent digital currency to someone I never met, don't you think I knew the risks?  I took a risk, it seems like I lost this time, so what. grow up and grow some balls you whiny girl.
2070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Numus' Features? Decentralized Exchange and more on: March 29, 2014, 07:18:06 PM
Wasn't NXT the one that lied about how long one had to buy into the IPO, suddenly closing the IPO before its announced closure date, thus screwing maybe the vast majority of people who were considering buying it by closing the buying unexpectedly?

-MarkM-

NXT was the one that was freely available to buy for a couple of months but had very little interest. Where people on this forum massively profited by getting in early while most didn't and to this day bitter complain about it. Plus they also could of freely bought in the early stages on DGEX as dirt cheap prices again massively increasing their investment.

less bang for your coin tis called inflation  Shocked

Well inflation due to increased supply of coins, yes.
2073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all the coins are getting cheaper? on: March 29, 2014, 12:16:15 PM
I've only been buying Nxt now for months because imo, it's really the only one with something completely new to offer.  Development is continually happening, and the community has been strong since day one.  It looks to me that most people that complain about distribution are either just jealous that they didn't get an original stake (it's not like I did), or they're bitter that they couldn't mine it with all this money they've invested into mining hardware (you CAN mine it now at hashrate.org).  Normal, everyday people don't give two shits about mining, they're just going to buy coins, and Nxt has already achieved better distribution than bitcoin has.  I personally can't stand all these stupid country coins that have OBVIOUS artificially high market caps and nothing new to offer (they all seem to be litecoin clones).  So yeah, I'll be perfectly happy to see all these shitcoin clones die off.  Hopefully only a handful of unique coins will survive.  Nxt will be one of them.

+1

But if you keep speaking common sense you wont be popular on here.

Plus the 'unfair' mantra about IPO coins is ridiculous when you consider the whole point is for a coin to reach a mass market at some point in the future. So how fair is it that only people on this forum and in the Bitcoin community generally have all the future global wealth before everyone else???

I would argue that a NXT clone could take over NXT, I don't agree it should, but it might. NEM born out of the bitterness you spoke of could be the one.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why all the coins are getting cheaper? on: March 29, 2014, 11:47:38 AM
There are some dumb answers on this thread. The price is coming down due mainly to dilution of total market cap due to the growing number of alt coins. The total market cap has decreased a little but not that much so the same amount of wealth has just been spread around a growing number of coins.

I think crypto involvement has not really grown in the last 6 months as much as the media presence would suggests. I hope there is another step to come in total market cap and people invested in coins but I think it might take a currency collapse in fiat to really push that forward meaningfully.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Numus' Features? Decentralized Exchange and more on: March 29, 2014, 11:37:18 AM
What is the motivation to buy into the IPO?

Early investors that take a big risk only share 2.5% of total coins. (and even the total coins seems to be undefined)

So say even a mildly successful IPO of say 50 coins would mean you get 500,000 coins of a total 1 Billion, 250,000 if 100 etc.... Ok so if its as successful as say NXT then its an 'ok' investment, not amazing but ok. But coins come and go all the time these days, the coin is only an adaption of an another coin. So I would say there is nothing for the early investor here to get excited about. And indeed you could lose money even if the coin is decent.

IPO's must have a big mark up to early investors otherwise there is zero motivation to invest and not just buy once it hits exchanges. The developers need to rethink the IPO amounts..

Are you seriosuly trying to compare NXT's IPO to this or any other IPO for that matter. NXT's initial disctribution comprised around 50 stakeholders who own ALL of NXT. NXT has a few mega-rich investors and the rest are dirt-poor in NXT. Let's think about that logically, if one stakeholder decided to throw in the towel one day and sells all his NXT that would bring the market crashing down to its knees.

The reason you don't see coins which offer full shares to the investors anymore is because those coins are time-bombs as soon as one investors sells  the market will come crashing down and soon other initial investors will also panic sell at lower prices bringing the market price down even further. You fail to realize that big returns can still be made through early investments in coins with IPO's less than 5% of the total supply. Investors could purchase low and sell very high and make massive returns.

I didn't fail to realize anything you noob. You spectacularly missed my point, I only used NXT as an example of a successful coin that increased in price many fold but still to share say 2.5% of NXT now wouldn't be worth it once divided by a sizable number of stakeholders. And your logic that large percentage IPO's are unfiar are nonsense if the offer is open to all and they can buy in as much as they want. NXT was lopsided cause no one was that interested at the time and thats also why people get so bitter about it cause we know for a fact the distribution is more balanced than Bitcoin at this time. Anyway my point was about IPO's need some kind of payback for people to risk capital. With this there seems very little...
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone else get this feeling? on: March 29, 2014, 10:08:12 AM
After Bitcoin I would say some form of NXT is going to be the market leader.

Have you used Ripple?

Personally I found the IOU thing a royal pain in the ass. I don't understand it exactly, most don't but you don't really own anything but you trust others for stuff.

It might get built on to make it user friendly but now its fully in geek tech head territory...

2078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IPO] Numus (Pow+Pos) - Decentralized Exchange, Cloud Storage, Lotto System on: March 29, 2014, 09:48:41 AM
Only 2.5% divided by stakeholders? Whats the point of investing, people will only get a tiny fraction of total coins if the IPO is even mildly popular. Pass for now...

I'm not saying the coin if legit doesn't look interesting but its a terrible opportunity for early investors, you got to increase the potential for those who are willing to risk capital otherwise why would they bother?
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IPO] Spark: New codebase for a new crypto - Fund raising [3/4] on: March 27, 2014, 06:44:20 AM
I dont see how someone and claim they have Escrow before they even contact them. Seems fishy...My hunch is the Escrow is half hearted without planning so most dont even use it but send money striaght to the IPO address. It could be legit but i will wait to see if the coin exists and is traded. Too much risk. Little upside.

Lol OP still here ?
Bahamas is too expensive, he needs a second IPO.
What are you super resistant of? I'm guessing saying the same thing over and over and over again on here. Don't like it don't buy, nothing is guaranteed to profit even buying Bitcoins at an exchange.

As long as scammers scam over and over.
