Maybe Wesly from NXT can build a good user friendly Client for Qora... What do you guys think?
I think the client setup is to complicated for people without many computer knowledge..
Do you really think his client for NXT is user friendly? I think its a cluttered mess, possibly not his fault as he had to put what others wanted in the wallet but still. Qora could be a bit more easy to run without people having to click run bat, but otherwise it seems pretty easy to me and I'm no techie. All that stuff is secondary and cosmetic compared to getting the functions of the wallet sorted. There are plans from Qora for a webwallet later I think... I think people prefer to have their wallet on their computer honestly, I think psychologically they feel its safer and they have control of it. |

I just sent NXT to BTER and also to Dgex. So far nothing has turned up after 2 hours, i'm up to date on the client, why?

qora, I also think that it is necessary to display information about the last block in a prominent place. May be let it appears, when your cursor on the green circle.
I was just using the NXT wallet. I think as much as possible Qora (I think he has already said as much) needs to have a very user friendly uncluttered basic front end. NXT wallet is horrible, too much going on when 95% of the time people just want to send and receive coins. So the less on the front end the better, hide it in menus etc...remember high levels users probably like yourself are not the target for a wallet if we want to be popular. |

Qora had a working Beta during the IPO period. Anyone could ascertain for themselves that there was an actual product. NXT was vapourware. Qora had an escrowed IPO option even. Qora's IPO was extended to allow for better distribution. NXT IPO was cut short unannounced. Don't compare the two. You can't just be too daft to miss an opportunity when there is one and yell "UNFAIR" afterwards. Anyways, good luck with the venture  I'm a big supporter of the NEM style of distribution. But that doesn't mean that I consider IPO distribution to be de facto unfair. NXT had a working beta too, so in that regard both were actually quite similar. I know many even think BCNext is the Qora dev, but I'm not sure about that, but they both do share one obvious similarity - they were both more concerned with the code than with building a community. Both IPO's were fair, and open and transparent - but the success of the IPO should be measured in terms of the number of individuals it attracted (and also the money raised, but i think that was secondary to both BCnext & Qora dev). It's clear both NXT & Qora IPO's were dismal failures, and for a POS coin the initial distribution IS CRITICAL. The fairness does not bother me - it's the effectiveness - 73 & 137 respectively are too low by a factor x20. I like Qora a lot, but the distribution was a failure. You missed the IPO it was open and free for all. Very few people wanted to take the risk, I assume you were dancing around another shitcoin clone IPO at the time. don't get annoyed at me but this is my advice. you put an offer in for 51 stats but there is a guy selling a large amount t at 56sats. Ive always thought if something is worth buying then dont haggle too much on small percentage differences. 51 or 56, if you want some around that price then buy, an exchange will be up soon and I personally don't think we will see under 100 from that point. A 10% difference is nothing in crypto and not worth splitting hairs over. |

I normally wouldn't think its good to be on a smallish exchange but I think for a few reason the Sharecoin site is actually a great starting exchange.
1. Sharecoin has a growing group of people who are going to know about Qora and will want to buy Qora and maybe some Qora suppoerters might want to buy Sharecoin, a symbiotic relationship. So its not just a site we are getting the whole PR of Sharecoin with it. You wont know about Sharecoin and not Qora is my point.
2. The site looks really great, its likely to be a popular exchange.
3. Because there are not real big volumes on the coin Qora will naturally be the focus and so it kind of will serve as a dedicated exchange in the strange way and we may have some leverage for with Sharecoin not to flood the site with other major coins for a short time.
4. He is concerned about security and stability and seems a good coder and has said he is creating a 'wrapper' for Qora.
5. Concerns are over blown at this point, at early stage everyone knows there are risks. Dgex took a premium from NXT trading early on because of it, no one is stupid enough involved in Qora to not know them. And if they don't want to trade then don't. Even if worst thing happens and loads of people lose coins the image of Qora wont be affected much.IMO A small disclaimer on the site could make clear the heightened risks if there are any.

Maybe when it comes to contacting the right the right people for certain jobs, IF we can't deal with it from people already here then we could look toward who did a good job with NXT. Yes, a giveaway is needed too. How about something like Smurfcoin did? If someone wants to participate he must put "Qora..." in his sig, and then an automated script would check if he kept the sig for a week before releasing the giveaway.
I think this is a great way to promote qora p.s: it seems that we have a lot of ideas but not enough technical people to execute them. please someone start bounty list and let's get some top programmers on board. I will donate qora to any serious bounty. Can I suggest we have one person who is leader and coordinator. Of course they have to check with the community on major decisions but we need one coordinating source who is a contact point to Qora. I'm not suggesting a heavy role just a point we can all look toward for direction not 5 people saying different things. I suggest dzarmush. I've disagreed with him on some issues but he has been with Qora from the start and has a strong enough personality to reign in crazy ideas. From that point his job would really be delegation and trying to action the direction given by Qora. Anyone agree? Dzarmush do you want the job? Either way we need leadership. Reddit design - graphics, font, the reddit icon should perform a move of some sort when mouse-over (eg blink, hug a qora coin, etc) I did a website design and uploaded all materials, I believe Qora dev is working on it. New POS algorythm" or something like this? I put "Cryptocurrency that builds the future" just as an example for design, so don't consider it as a slogan. Good work!!
