You can sell dog turd ethically IF everyone one involves knows they are buying Dog turd. What you need to do is convince someone here that what GEMS is doing will actually make anyone not invest. The plan changed a bit to use Telegram so sure I guess that wont take as much work but honestly I don't think anyone is investing based on how much the development team deserve or not and IF it helps the goal of a successful product who cares There is nothing 'fair' in crypto, should anyone earn thousands of dollars playing around on a computer while someone toils in a third world country for a few dollars, probably not. Does the makers of SnapChat deserve billions of dollars for making a computer science project? Fairness is for Obama supporters and Communists. The bottom line is they are investing because they think that its a decent long term bet, GEMS can't make anyone give money. Have some actual wrong doings or please give up.

I'm going to have to be a jerk and say I don't like it much. Thnaks for the effort but it looks kind of 80's to me. It's good to see a better image than what we have already though. We have to up our game cause you have some really nice wallets from NODE, NEM, Blackcoin etc. Its going to need to be high quality to compete.

Anyone else think they will miss the windows wallet? I really like using Bitcoins window looking wallets personally. Also I'm curious Qora once said IF we do the wallet the way he wants to do it Qora will be unique. has he ever said what that Unique thing will be?

So with this new road map do you have any predictions for when airdrops would be part of the app? It would be great if the app got popular even before the airdrops but it seems like airdrops is the killer function for marketing GEMS.

While I don't like the discounted coins at this stage as we are supposed to be in a process of price discovery this kind of partnership is pure genius. I wonder if there are other organisations and groups that are already involved in Bitcoin proliferation and education particularly with youth and students? I wonder if there are connections to be made in the third and second world too where mobile payments are common already.

Some Bitcoiners might be purists and might not like the idea of GEMS but GEMS could be a massive boost for Bitcoin so I think any organisation involved in trying to educate or promote Bitcoin use could easily be persuaded to come on board. I don't know any personally but I bet there are quite a few.

I think what will drive Qora's price is its longevity and what people build ontop of it. AT is just building the groundwork so people see Qora as a great platform to build on. We haven't even got a nice UI which for some is very important.

A simple reworking of chat with one thread named 'Developer Discussion'. There developers can collaborate and also have private chats.

General chat and notifications should be thread based. IMO

I promise I will say this one more time and shut up about it. But I think chat has some uses if developers need to discuss a project but other wise I feel like chat makes a project look dead on here if people don't post on the thread. Personally I would kill chat altogether and have discussions take place on the thread, NXT managed to do it. Hiding Qora off thread particularly doesn't help The general image and communication of Qora.

I think MOMENTUM is very important for a coin or project. Even exciting projects and coins can in a short time seem old and tired. Most coins price and 'Buzz' are established in the first month or two of their life. I'm not saying that will be the case for GEMS but why take the risk. I worked out that roughly for every BTC someone invested in the ICO's assuming its sold out only amounts to about 7-8 coins a day in airdrops. Or look at it this way if Android is worse case scenario 5 months behind OS then we are talking about 31 months for airdrops compared to 36 for OS, its not a tragedy.

Bigger picture we can't worry about early investors as we already have a massive advantage and if we are concerned about Android users unable to use the app what about OS users who never hear about the app? Basically half the world. The idea of fairness is stupid, its annoying I didn't know about Bitcoin when it launched but I wouldn't say that its unfair. You want to make your own luck get an OS device it will pay for itself in GEMS.

You can't go around saying people are ignoring your requests??? people might have a 101 reasons for not getting back to you straight away.

Just wanted to repeat this as it might be buried in my other points but how about having a lower airdrop for the first few months before Android on the OS?

May is what 5 months? 5 months of 5,000 GEMZ would just be the same as only one month of lost airdrops (as a worse case senario for those without an OS a device) which is hardly something to get upset about.

If this is possible it seems a good solution. I think waiting till May would be a mistake. I've watched Qora for the last 6 months make mistakes due to timing, I don't want GEMS to do the same.

Hence the questions mark. But the point is worth making as many Android phone users have an OS device.

Here's my argument for mot holding back and waiting for Android. Firstly timing is really important in tech and apps generally, a few months latter we might have a few competitors and also any website app etc cannot afford to not go out of the gates running a half completed concept means this will just be a simple app, so marketing won't have the power of saying you can earn coins from just using it.

Early investors here will have friends added from any new downloads who haven't come from referrals so for most here it's better to worry more about the success of the app generally than having an iPhone. All people need is an OS device, an iPad, or even a crappy older itouch should run the app. So people should take that into consideration and IF they have invested a lot then they can buy a cheap apple device, even a 2nd gen I touch might run the apps?, less than $100. Plus a few months isnt much of you compare with the three years of airdrops.


Also is this a solution. Is it possible to vary the airdrop between devices? Prob not?

If it was possible you could decrease the airdrop for OS and then boost it for Android for the first few months? Or maybe just have a simple first 3 months boost for any new users Android or OS which would level the playing field some.

One more solution that is probably a much easier to implement is to have a much smaller airdrop for first few months, maybe 10,000 or even 5,000 a day would be fine, it's more the principle of having the app and airdrop running from the start. Good solution?

My 2 cents from an IPad owner.

I thought you guys in the abitcoin thread would know their stuff and why Bitcoin was started in the first place. Satoshi clearly by using a news article as some kind of finger print in abitcoin that related to the BOE printing money then you can be sure he had the expansion of fiat, Central banks, the Federal Reserve and inflation as an agent of inequality in his sights.


The simple fact is governments and big banks inflate the currency for various self serving reasons. Without the ability to print ie sound money we would have deflation, the terrible situation where we have to pay less for the same stuff. The amazing thing is how people have swallowed the idea that that is bad for us! So the poorest at the fringes of society are most affected by inflation, the rich with assets however can increase their wealth. Bingo inequality. But also I want to be clear there will always be inequality and it's not nessecarly a bad thing but the extreme inequality we are seeing today is due to money printing and also even if we have inequality the poorer are more able to live a better life if saving is encouraged and prices for basic goods that the poorest have to buy are not inflated. Inflation is the thief of particularly the middle class who try to save and earn but are on a treadmill of keeping up with inflation. It drives me nuts that the governments twist the figures and say we have almost no inflation when ina few years most people have to pay almost 50% more for the same goods or even more.
