If you want another coin added just post.

Please add NEM.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most annoying coin community on: September 17, 2014, 04:46:18 PM
NEM cause they think they are creating some kind of revolution by releasing the 1,000th cryptocurrency in all history. Plus they genuinely think their distribution is fair and will change the global economy by selling to a couple of thousand people.  Grin

This thread was entirely started to knock NEM's competitors. Run along now children.
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm working on a new coin. How do I release it properly? on: September 17, 2014, 04:40:51 PM
It would release it to yourself in the privacy of your own bedroom.

This isn't some pump and dump clone. This project has been going for one year for those who have been following from the start.

New code coins don't come along that much.

Sellers don't sell at least under 100 sats. Be patient we will be at 200 sats soon.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: September 17, 2014, 07:42:19 AM
I remember NXT from back then and it was definitely a mess compared to NODE's release.

As well it took like 20-25 days for NXT to gain a big capitalization while NODE is still on day #8.  If you consider how fast BitsharesX went up, it could be possible that NODE could be booming in the weeks to come - just need the patience to hodl.

Let's face facts here, with this kind of giveaway there was lots of sockpuppets, just like NEM has lots of sockpuppets I'm sure. So the truth is those people tend not to worry about the price too much and are looking to dump straight away. We are in this early dumping phase, it's an opportunity cause long term NODE seems like actually a very good system, quite possibly top 10 coin at least.

For the benefit of all Node investors here, I'd like to point out that Node accounts are not secure enough, as you have seen from all of the hacked accounts recently.  This is because Node is susceptible to brute force attacks.  Have you noticed how short the account numbers are?  There are MANY passphrases that can result in the SAME account number.

Those of you who understand how NXT addresses work will know what I'm talking about.  Newly generated NXT addresses are not very secure until at least one transaction is made, at which point one unique public key is tied to the account number, making it virtually impossible to crack.

Crypti, which is also based on node.js, allows for a second passphrase to be tied to an account number.  This is an elegant way of securing your account.

Node doesn't have any security measures like this built in.

Good point.
But node is just a brand new coin, maybe we should give it more time to improve.

NXT was a mess when it started, it had the same level of security too. NODE looks waaaay more polished in comparison. It's a diamond in the rough in my mind.

You are not completely informed, hacked account was only small symbols simple brute force password
We have not once said that the password must contain a few characters, even if it consists of up to 10 characters
Example: Yhjk-8*&

This is the only case which confirms that you need to generate a password of different characters

Secondly we have a function that will be implemented in addition to the key phrases

They just want cheap coins, that's all.
1649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 16, 2014, 11:12:49 AM
Anyone who has been talking to Qora over the last few weeks have any idea what he might be thinking for a new direction in organisation?
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: September 16, 2014, 05:35:27 AM
NODE based simply on price seems to be a very attractive buy. The fact is it's a 2nd gen coin and has a lot of potential as a simple wallet for using Bitcoin, cash and NODE. It's what most people in the mainstream really want, they wouldn't use a complicated system like NXT IMO.

So now on Coinmarketcap it's surrounded by really crappy clone coins. It's guaranteed to pop soon I think once some weak hands dump.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QORA ASSET EXCHANGE 19 September 5PM GMT ! on: September 15, 2014, 08:10:48 AM
Great, looking forward to how this pans out.

Looking at Coinmarketcap of only $300,000 shows me this has to at least triple in price just to be fair value. I'm buying.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: September 15, 2014, 05:07:00 AM
The people that are shouting about going open source the loudest are probably the lowest holders of Qora.

A vote using your balance is the fairest way to decide.

After numerous votes it has been decided not to do it.

For now just wait till Qora gets back to us about what he means.
yeah,we need another vote

if you can help us creat a close source vote again..

I hope qora can OS when the time is 2100 year..

So no one can expose this perfect scam。。what do you think?

thx.

You will be on my ignore list after this post.

State facts not useless garbage. Voting by the number of Qora you hold is the most sensible and most politically correct way of deciding the direction of the coin.

Though Qora has a big say on how i would vote and im sure others too.

You should know Pondsea as a large holder of Qora and due to the small numbers of voters and someone who refrained from voting last time I can almost guarantee a yes vote will come from a new vote. I've changed my mind and believe we were too over protective early on.

Like Qora has said we need to go in a new direction and I expect that will include open source relatively soon.

Well that is the thing, we need a firm date and alot of notice to get the best results.

Right now we should wait for Qora then see where to go from there.

I have always been about following Qora, it was the community that took us off track in my mind. The purpose from Qora for open source was just a period of time so the coin could get some traction and established. Problem is it's a chicken and egg thing where you need OS to bring the developers and interest in etc. It then became we were never going to release the code in the minds of some people. The era of clones is over anyway, I haven't seen one serious clone coin come out of the new batch of 2nd gen coins, not one.

What I hope is no one thinks Qora has been flip flopping when actually he will probably just return to the original plan. I honestly wish we had gone OS earlier, I wonder where we would be now if we had? Hopefully we can recover lost ground and I do expect a decent sized jump in price, though I'm holding whatever happens.

1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NEX :: Nxt Reimagined - Industrial Strength - Imagine Fairness! on: September 15, 2014, 03:41:35 AM
With all due respect for me to invest now I need a massive update of some kind of where the project is, the client, the road map, number of coins,a advantage of investing early..etc.

I hate NXT I don't want to trawl through working out NXT to buy a coin I know nothing about anymore. I also need to buy NXT to buy NEX, it's a hassle.

Positive but needed more..
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why if you are smart you are buying Qora. on: September 08, 2014, 07:05:08 AM
Qora today revealed the asset exchange that was planned. The big shook was that it trades asset to asset. NXT which I'm a big supporter of has a much more 'blocky' way of trading, having to go in and out of NXT incurring fees along the way. Plus Qora has dividend payments built in.

I don't often call a price rise, the last one being NXT before it's asset exchange, which then popped 100%. But this is the real deal. Qora could well become the go to platform of choice for trading assets with this functionality. Plus the price is peanuts compared to NXT. Qora also has GUI modelling to come and open source all things that I predict with help the price.

I will update this info as news comes in and we get reactions from the wider crypto community.

Are people aware there is a trading thread?

I think if someone is looking to sell a large amount of Qora around the 20 sats level many people would be interested. Silly to keep crashing the market down for 1-2 BTC worth of Qora.

Maybe a Chinese trading thread would be useful?

Ready, Go.

Excellent work, the last site looked a bit scammy, this is more pro looking. Two questions, how does the exchange link with the website as the exchange is within the wallet, do you means Exchanges like BTER. Maybe better to put exchanges or just 'Buy Qora'

Also what does 'develop progress' mean? The grammar seems wrong. If you mean devlopment progress you can say that or something simpler like NEWS maybe.
