Lol OP still here ?

Bahamas is too expensive, he needs a second IPO.

What are you super resistant of? I'm guessing saying the same thing over and over and over again on here. Don't like it don't buy, nothing is guaranteed to profit even buying Bitcoins at an exchange.
2082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | No Premine | DGW | ASIC Resistant on: March 19, 2014, 05:01:47 PM
I have kind of a bombshell here. I got a friend who has a friend working at the investment company mentioned in this article (Ribbit Capital) My buddy has heard they are investing steadily in Bitcoin. But here's the big one. There is massive interest in Darkcoin due to its anonymity and they are planning on dropping serious money on buying the coin. I actually heard about this last week but now I see the article I know its true.

I have no idea how much this could move the price, but I'm guessing a lot!!!

I just sent 6000 NXT from account 17496037841012537692

Transaction id: 6705438071923250626

Thank you!

Hey dude is that the max you can invest, ive checked and i read two different things, one coin or 5 and is 6000NXT for 5?

Yeah man just read the thread, the first page he says "A user can only invest up to .2 BTC which equals out to = 2 Promethium" but later he wrote that he's increasing the max to 5 Promethium.

1200NXT = 1 Promethium
So 6000 NXT should be 5 Promethium

Good luck, let's hope this takes off.

cheers dude!!  Promethium to the moon!!!!

You can buy up to 5 Promethium which equals up to = .5 BTC

lol, I own C2 myself but please stop those pump threads without any content.

The thing is its true. Cause its still so early the coin has not popped up on the usual lists of top coins but it will.
2089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest right now in NXT?? on: February 15, 2014, 10:37:33 AM
Hello.

Should I invest now in NXT or do you think NXT will falling again so there will be a better time to buy cheap NXT?  Huh
Waiting for falling to 0.00007 is realistic??

Yes
2090  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sorry BTC... on: February 15, 2014, 10:34:51 AM
Was a 10000000000% increase in investment over a 5 year period not enough for you people?

I guess you could of gone and bough Netflix.

Credibility issues? Those are the OP's problem not Bitcoin's.
2091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some thoughts on Bitcoin regulation... on: February 15, 2014, 10:13:01 AM
The OP or anyone here hasn't even tackled the question why 'The Mainstream' ie Governments and central banks are even against Bitcoin. They don't like the deflationary nature of Bitcoin, disallowing them to run up massive debts to insure votes and so Central Banks can print themselves wealth for them and their banks. So why would they want this system? You're acting like they are just jealous of Bitcoins technology or something. You're basically suggesting that Governments will happily lose all their power along with Central Banks and accept a heavily inflationary situation and their own currency and power structures to crumble.

Ok so this is what WILL happen IF Bitcoin was regulated and went mainstream. Governments would simply add to the number of Bitcoins in someway, maybe by having a Bitcoin 2 or whatever they have to do to continually add supply.

People who want regulation don't understand what powerful forces are at play in this world.

Bitcoin (in its current state) will succeed with either bloody revolution or not at all.
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to dump miners? on: February 13, 2014, 09:29:49 PM
This was a honey trap for the most selfish miners on here. Welcome everyone glad you could come to my little meeting....names noted.

2093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Next pump? on: February 13, 2014, 08:17:07 PM
It's been a big sell order in there with 0.00007950 6.36 BTC!
Right now someone has set a sell order for exactly 0.00008000 BTC 8!

If he wants to sell necessarily, he is 0.00007949, and 0.00008000 not!

The only reason can be the one to push prices down! But why?Huh?

You acting like you don't know your elbow from your ass. I'm not convinced.....

People obviously have motivation to both push the price down of up to suit when they are buying or selling. Do you need a picture?

Your comment is total nonsense! Faith the next makers want a stable exchange rate, and want that it does not vary too far up or down!

Who said the buyers and sellers are NXT 'makers'

The NXT 'maker' is probably sat on a beach in Bali sippin a cocktail.

But I still do not understand why the press want the price down? Have the now already read often ...

Thats a rabbits hole that you need to want to go down to find the answer. It wont be pretty and will probably shatter everything you understand about  how the world is run and who controls the banks, media and the politicians.

If you know that then its a no brainer why Bitcoin threatens everything that is dear to the ruling global elite.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Next pump? on: February 13, 2014, 07:42:11 PM
Thanks for the info!

there is a page where you can read such info?

I've noticed that there are people who try to push down the next course!

It sell for example  next in value of 7 Btc! Why when the price rises? Do not understand why the price can not go up?

Firstly the price is not rising much, like 10% (in $ tersm) last time I looked. Secondly much of the gain is down to its stability ie As other coins sell off NXT stays the course because most invested in NXT are long term holders that recognize the long term value and know it probably wont dive at a moment notice like most coins can and will. So much of the move is really BTC going down not NXT increasing much.

Something I have noticed for such a young 'POS' coin that everyone talks about being susceptible to big price swings due to large holders it has been over the last couple of months incredibly stable.

Which sets up an interesting proposal. Maybe NXT is the coin other coins should be priced and traded against rather than BTC?Huh?

2097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Time to dump miners? on: February 13, 2014, 07:35:22 PM
Personally I think miners are a bunch of tech nerds who don't deserve to cream the wealth off coins and systematically dump large amounts of coins on unsuspecting average Joes.

I say screw the miners with their mining rigs of a thousand motherboards in their parents bedrooms or the big players with GPU farms.

Think about it, who deserves to get rich (within reason) from a great coin? Some dick cheese nerd miner or the actual developers. At least with POS we can see clearly how the initial profit is being distributed the quality of the deal on offer and how much developers are to gain from an IPO.

It also is way more democratic cause everyone has some money, not everyone has computer skills.

Crypto if its to grow needs to get out of the hands of the greedy Techs.

Let the games begin!
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin not coming back from "transitioning" period; my plan of action on: February 11, 2014, 08:37:40 PM
These past few days have been rough on Bitcoin, no doubt. Last night the price hit a low of like $530 or $570/btc or somewhere in that range. I invested at $790/btc, so needless to say I got a little worried. When this whole Mt. Gox fallout started, I decided to take half of my investment in btc and move that into Dogecoin. I heard alot of good things about Doge, and thought it'd be a smart move. As it turns out, I was right... at least so far anyways. Doge has been doing very well these past few days while btc has been plummeting. The two could probably be because of one another, but who knows for sure.

Well, three days after I cut my investment in half I decided to sell the last of my btc. The price of btc didn't really improve and I see real potential in Doge. I've already made quite a bit of money just holding. I've got Doge on Cryptsy for now, but I opened an account at Vault of Satoshi today (https://www.vaultofsatoshi.com/home). I like VOS for a couple reasons:

A. Because it seems incredibly secure. As of now I haven't heard of any big security concerns regarding the website. The website might actually be a little too secure. In order to link your bank account you have to send a picture of your driver's license and 1 proof of residence. And let me tell you that shit better be crystal clear or your ass is gettin denied. Anyways, I sent them a picture of the speeding ticket I got in the mail the other day. Assholes.

B. The main reason is because you can convert Doge and 6 or 7 other altcoins directly to USD. No more going through Bitcoin during all of it's drama, although you can buy bitcoin with it too.

C. The site is really well made. Very organized, easy to check your balances and how they're doing.

So once my order on Coinbase to sell off the rest of bitcoin is done, I'm gonna close my Coinbase account. I'll keep my Cryptsy account just because they have more Altcoins, and I might one buy some other one sometime.

Any suggestions or opinions on if you think Bitcoin will come back? If so, when?
And any suggestions for me?
Have a nice day guys  Smiley

No offence but are we talking to a teenager who is holding less than 5 BTC and wasting our energy and time to explain that maybe Dogecoins isn't a long term serious safe haven investment? I have to pinch myself sometimes.
2099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitstamp going way of Mtgox? Zerohedge article.. on: February 11, 2014, 08:05:24 PM
This bullshit about Bitcoin needs to become legitimate and be regulated and taxed etc pisses me off. That's the standard crap talked about in the Bitcoin section... I say screw that, once enough people are using a currency anonymously they cant do ANYTHING!!!!! REVOLUTION BABY!

If I want i'll buy drugs, if I want i'll avoid custom taxes if I want I'll do what ever the hell I want with my own property!!!

WE ARE NOT SLAVES PEOPLE!!!
2100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about Mt Gox? What does this price fall mean for BTC and its clones? on: February 11, 2014, 08:01:25 PM
Centralized exchanges have long governed Bitcoin transactions. From the plights of Bitinstant to the regulatory, technical demise of Mt. Gox to the wipeouts of centralized wallets by hacking, we have witnessed costly screwups by centralized players. Subject to regulation and easily targeted by world governments and hackers alike, centralized exchanges have no place in the new economy. Tragically, the Bitcoin community has trashed the very savior of Bitcoin transactions from the start: Ripple. Ripple offers a means to conduct transactions instantly with little to no fees in a decentralized manner. This means no longer do we have to wait for confirmations or trust exchanges to be technically capable or safe from a regulatory standpoint - no longer do we have to rely on centralized merchanting solutions. We can bypass confirmation times and reduce fraud to zero by conducting merchanting on the Ripple protocol.

Why hasn't the Bitcoin community caught on? Now is the perfect time - when Mt. Gox withdraws finally come through send that Bitcoin to the Ripple protocol and enjoy freedom once more!

Instead of disregarding Ripple because some Bitcoiner has told you that it is centralized (lie), Ripple isn't open-source (lie) or Ripple is premined (this isn't bitcoin, there is no wasteful mining - lie), think for yourself for once. Remember this. Ripple is competing with BitPay, NOT Bitcoin.

If you do not understand Ripple, I suggest Peercover.com - incredibly user friendly!

Its ironic you choose Ripple to overcome problems of MTgox ie centralized exchanges. I just had Bitcoin trapped in Bitstamp the main gateway for Bitcoin on Ripple. NXT is the only truly centralized trading we have....
