BITLANE YOU ARE AN IDIOT, GET A LIFE AND A JOB MAYBE ? AND STOP SPAMMING THE FORUM WITH IDIOT POSTS.

Right....you were the idiot that posted this...

Quote
Well they could have skipped the trade-up program. But they decided to include one and people are still not happy, BFL Labs is a business after all not a charity  and they don't owe you anything, if you don't like, don't buy from them.

You fall into that category of users on this forum who are complete fucking MORONS and have no clue.

Have fun stating the obvious and kissing BFL's collective ass.... I think you will be alone on that soon enough.

<EDIT>
...and speaking of jobs, I can't take someone seriously, who puts a donation address in their forum sig like a deadbeat...LOL

Perhaps YOU need a better job ?
1062  Economy / Goods / Re: FS: deathbylollipop Web Project on: June 20, 2012, 10:39:30 AM
damn  where can i send my precious btw:)

This is not something to be taken lightly !

The new owner of this web project must continue it's trolling highlevelminer development Wink

"Bending over backwards to satisfy client needs" is a MUST !

What about the 300% Increase in Mining Performance ? .....hashes from high level sources, exploits, payout ratios etc.

Very important, not to be easily overlooked Wink
1064  Economy / Computer hardware / WTT: Radeon 7970s for Radeon 5870s on: June 20, 2012, 10:26:38 AM
I am looking to get a hold of a few Radeon 5870s to fill up some slots I currently have empty.

I am looking to trade 1 of my Gigabyte Radeon 7970 Reference Cards for 3 of your Radeon 5870s (yes, 1:3 Ratio).

Why 1:3 ?
My 7970s are approx 2 months old, Your 5870s are most likely 2 years old.
My 7970s have near-full warranty still, your 5870s likely have none.
My 7970s have also been undervolted and kept UNDER 70c since day 1 of mining.....
(CGMiner reports stock voltage, but they currently run @ 1.03 V using AfterBurner for Voltage Control and Memory underclock)

Anyone interested can PM me or post here.

Shipping to Canada will be required.

If things don't pan out here, I can get pretty close to my goal on Ebay, but I figured I would try here first to save time.
I can get 2 brand new 5870s on Ebay (in Canada) right now for what I can sell my card for, so I figure asking for 3 used/well-mined cards is not out of the question.

Cheers,
bitlane.
1065  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Trade-Up Program - I have seen the light ! on: June 20, 2012, 10:14:43 AM
Thats pretty fucked up.

After spending the day arguing with people, I just decided to go along with them, regardless of how fucked up it looks in the OP.

People actually thought they would be able to do this !....some people have NO CLUE., so I just gave in.

How could I have been right ? ....saying people would HAVE TO PAY ATLEAST the difference, not trade in old for new straight across, like I posted in the OP.
I only used common sense, basic business principals and a bit of math.
1066  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: June 20, 2012, 10:12:02 AM
Didnt realize that. Well, not sure if doubling would be fair, I dont think every fpga owner will double his investment. The above will more likely result in mini rig buyers getting shafted big time.

I said this from the start and everyone posted saying I was SPECULATING and was basically full of shit, when I used the Old Item + cash for trade-ups....NOT simply 2x old items for a single new item trade in WITHOUT any cash being involved....

That is why I posted that bullshit thread full of nothing but sarcasm, after I got tired of arguing with everyone about BASIC BUSINESS PRACTICES....

It still boggles me how many IDIOTS thought that simply trading in 2 current mini-rigs would get them a shiny new ASIC mini-rig WITH NO MONEY involved.

Jesus Christ.

I had people posting everything from "Maybe BFL want to make their customers happy" to "Sure it makes sense, trade in $30k of old equipment straight across for new equipment...just like IT says, 100% trade-in value"....

I am not happy to see some undeserving people get the shaft and have to double their initial investments to stay competitive or to protect their investments, but I am more than happy to see alot of people SHUT UP about it finally.

...and I will continue to beat that dead horse, as it makes me smile.

its reference. im in the US. i can ship to canada for $25.

Sent you a PM in regards to a 'favor' before I decide on it Wink
1068  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: MSI 7970 on: June 20, 2012, 09:42:43 AM
I am not familiar with MSI models, but is this a Reference Card ?

I currently have 15 7970s and am only interested in Reference cards currently....

Let me know.

OH..and where are you shipping from ? Will you ship to Canada ?
1069  Other / Off-topic / Re: PirateFly Labs or Butter@40 - You be the judge on: June 20, 2012, 09:40:43 AM
If I choose to preorder and BFL take far longer than what is promised, or acceptable, would they be willing to pay me interest on my funds ? or perhaps offer some sort of partial refund to compensate me for the long wait ?

I still feel that 10+ weeks is far too long for them to have my money and for me to have nothing.

Fair is fair, but at the same time, this definitely straddles at least a few Consumer Protection Laws that might or might not exist (I am not a US Citizen, so I wouldn't know)....
1070  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BFL and the law. on: June 20, 2012, 09:37:02 AM
Jesus....Whatever happened to THIS promise ?
If you move it there, you won't have to hear from me again since I don't look at that section ever.

2 posts after the fact and here we are with your next little ditty.... Wink

In case you haven't bothered to read what I've been writing for the past dozens of posts, I will repeat here that I am not at all impressed or infatuated by them or their business ethics. I however know a good product when I see it, and I find no reason to detract from the product itself. I have been bashing them as hard as anyone in regards to the abysmal business conduct, even going as far as to troll a competitor's thread.

However, legal action on questionable principles is going to do nothing more than put an innovative company out of business for no really good reason. We know what to expect from them now, and we know that there is nothing to fear any time soon. Can you say biting the hand that feeds you? Making a device that is faster than any GPU on the market, yet cheaper than most of them will result in widespread adoption like never before, which in turn leads to decentralization like never before, when many users have some small hash instead of some users having small hash and others having far more.

Small hash vs more hash. I like more hash personally...LOL
1071  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL mini rig on: June 20, 2012, 09:21:51 AM
I say GO FOR IT !

Gigavps will have a total of 8 Mini-Rigs when his all arrive, so if you can swing it, you might want to consider picking up 2 of them and dominate !
1072  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cheap Chinese VGA Coolers - FTW ! on: June 20, 2012, 04:55:38 AM
Has anyone else successfully mated the K90 to a 5830? I have a few Sapphire 5830s whose fans have died and would love to know if others have found the K90 to be a suitable replacement. Finding replacement OEM fans for the Sapphire 5830s I have is next to impossible.

These things are awesome, as I stated ages ago...

5x 5830 Sapphire Extremes running K90 2-heatpipe Coolers. Under 60c running overclocked in a warm room.....and nearly dead silent.

I am also running a K120 on an oddball 6950 XFX card (factory cooler couldn't cool the card, shitty XFX chips...) that I have left and it stays under 60C also, same mining conditions....
1073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitForce SC - full custom ASIC on: June 20, 2012, 03:16:35 AM
Ya gotta be in it to win it, brosef.

Tell that to current owners of 2 or more regular Mini-Rigs.....

My bet would be that the guys with the cash to put out for those things would look at the trade in deal as if they were getting 50% off their order of next gen gear. Which technically they will be.

Well, I looked at it like...just having come up with $30+k in order to buy 2 Mini-Rigs, only to be FORCED to spend an additional $30k in order to PROTECT your investment in UNDER 1 year, or become obsolete....

This isn't like the $6000 in 7970 video cards that I bought recently....we are talking a shit-ton more cash.

The last thing I want to see are the TRUSTED users get screwed and leave Bitcoin, only to leave the block chain open to attack from others.

I felt SAFE having gigavps owning/controlling a large amount of hashing power. I can not say the same for new people that we know nothing about.

Don't troll me, I agreed with you back then.  Go back to your stroketastic locked thread from earlier.. I even gave you kudos.

Sorry, I thought your kudos was sarcasm...my bad.
1076  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Trade-Up Program - I have seen the light ! on: June 20, 2012, 03:00:48 AM
You were right, I was wrong.  Wink

Bravo!  I had to post one of these earlier tonight.  Its a shame more people don't.

I was a FOOL to truly believe that every current owner would have to pay BFL 2x just to stay current/competitive once ASICs hit....

I should have used the same fucked up business sense that everyone else did.

I understand how you are confused. This whole thing has not been explained in detail. If it were a straight trade of old equipment for new our business would fold in a week. Here's how it works: if you buy $599 worth of BFL product--say 4 Jalapenos, you are eligible to send in a Single to exchange for 4 more Jalapenos. You must buy something to be eligible to trade something of equal value. And you don't have to send in your old equipment when you pay for the new--you send it in when you are notified that your ASIC equipment is ready to ship. Does this make sense to you?

Jody

So pretty much what we were guesstimating.. you gotta double down.

You guys were all correct. I only wish I could have seen the LOGIC in it all sooner...  Roll Eyes

You were right, I was wrong.  Wink

OH NO, we are NOT going to play THAT game....the 'who was right and who was wrong, game'.....

What's right is what's right and I have seen the light by all of the posters who said I was basically FULL OF SHIT and SPECULATING due to me using BASIC Business Practices.

I still think I was wrong.....and that is why I changed my tune  Roll Eyes

You guys that posted against me were all right. It was obvious from the start if you think about it. You guys run businesses, right ?
1079  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Trade-Up Program - I have seen the light ! on: June 20, 2012, 02:51:57 AM
Just got a response from Jody.  You have to put up 50% of the cost, the other 50% can be trade in.

Just fucking GREAT. 50%, or essentially 1:1 for equivalent hardware. This is CRAP.

I SHOULD be able to use the examples above, as everyone else told me in other threads.

This is just silly.

I should be able to trade 2 current Mini-Rigs @ $15,000 each ($30k total) STRAIGHT ACROSS for a new ASIC Mini-Rig @ $30,000.
1080  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitForce SC - full custom ASIC on: June 20, 2012, 02:49:16 AM
As imsaguy notes - we have not seen a definitive response from BFL on trade-in.  There are rumors circulating...

They have been online multiple times, enough to comment, so I am just going with this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=88634.0

According to everyone who commented in another thread that I started to ask BFL for comments, this seems to be feasible and why wouldn't it ? ...right ?

Everyone needs to order as much as they possibly can, as it will only help them.....no risk at all.
