3641  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain New Miner S7-LN 2.7T @697W discussion (Not official) on: June 21, 2016, 10:55:41 AM
Ordered one last night and it's scheduled for delivery Monday! Pretty good service!

Came today as expected. Well packed in foam, all parts look brand-new. PS still had protective plastic on it.

Got it underclocked to 2.1Ghs to make it quiet and not so hot - though it was pretty quiet out of the box.
2.1GH/S??? I think you stopped all the ASICS but one. Good to know that the PSU'S are at least in good shape - was worried they could just go to the trash dump and find some random 87+s and put them on their miners ready to ship.
I guess he meant to say 2.1Th/s.

Okay, so maybe number 3 means 12x PCI-E connectors with other than 450mm wire length? Say 500mm?

I cleaned out a computer once that had been run by a chain smoker. There was so much tobacco gunk caked inside that it looked like the case has been filled with Grape Nuts cereal. You couldn't pay me enough to scrub that out with a toothbrush.
Oh snap, and imagine his lungs..
3644  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN PSU APw3+-12-1600-A3 ?? on: June 20, 2016, 02:43:13 PM
Hi Guys,

Just got 15 pcs of the Bitmain APW3-1200-1600-A3, but I do not get why its called A3 in the end and not B2 ?
I cant find any info on Bitmain homepage about these A3, so is anyone able to help out here  Huh
A should be revision and 3 is the PSU wire type.
There is no explanation in the manual for wire type 3.
3645  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 7 on: June 20, 2016, 02:33:14 PM
Looks like Avalon 7 could be using a Zynq as a control board a Zynq based control board.
Maybe this model..
This makes no sense though, the price on the SOC are way too expensive for just being a controller. I don't get it, even if they had a deal at the prices (looks around $400 for this board) I don't see how it beats a pi.
I don't think it beat's the RPI, and the simple fact is we don't need much more for a controller.  A RPI 3 for 35ish dollars has a ton of power for the money and a big community behind it, where you can use it for many other things besides mining if you have one laying around.
The controller I would love to see one use is the RPI Zero - https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspberry-pi-zero/ .   It is at a pricepoint of 5 dollars.   I  mean to get one some day and play around with it but have not got to that project yet.   Not sure if still like it was but it was very hard to find one for the retail price, most were selling for decent amount more.

Yeah, I only took that product as an example.
It could be another model and with less functions, like Bitmain has done with Beaglebone Black board.

Based on the code it would be some Zynq -based control board model by Xilinx.
3646  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: June 20, 2016, 02:29:49 PM
It is very soon too late to publish 16nm stuff since Bitmain is already well ahead.

..
Has anyone received shipping info for their batch 2 gear?
I got shipping confirmation as well, 1 on the way!  Cool

Lonely feeling
Deep inside
Find some bitcoins
That I can hide
Silent server
eluded me
Sudden darkness
But I can see

No coins today for my coffee
No coins today for my tea
No coins were send to my wallet
How can that be Huh

Learn to read:

Speaking of payouts, the last one I see in my wallet is for block 416506.
Is that correct?

Yep, that's last payout. Remember payments are manual Wink

Thanks. Yes, I know. Just wasn't sure if I missed logging one.
 Shocked
Yeah I did send them during the night, but was just after the last block we found (that woke me up and I sent a few)
All due are queued but 416506 was the last one I queued before we found a block.
The rest (currently 6 from 416617 to 416676) of course, will be confirmed by the next block we find.

edit: yeah, I read and understood it wrong. Kind of stupid comment by me. Apologies.  Embarrassed
3652  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking the S7 - improving efficiency through minor hardware manipulation on: June 17, 2016, 06:45:22 PM
..
EDIT - perhaps at some point I should remember it's viewable in the webconfig.
Yeah.
My S7 (B9) shows nothing in the kernel log when I'm viewing it with Chrome, but with Microsoft Edge it works ok.

I'm going to wait for Dogies review of the miner before I even consider looking at getting an S7 Lite. I like the form factor of it, and I would like to replace my S5's with these if they are actually decent miners.

Why do you think it will ever be Dogies review of S7 -LN ?
Yeah. The review would not be so different than with the original S7.
3654  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (hacked) S7LN Group Buy on: June 16, 2016, 05:01:56 PM
Thank you both for doing this!
I PM:ed you.
3655  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (hacked) S7LN Group Buy on: June 16, 2016, 01:58:38 PM
Do you happen to have a need for that Enermax 1000W which comes with the S7-LN?
I was wondering if it would be possible to buy one without the PSU, since I would have a 500W Super Flower ready for this.
I'm thinking about putting the S1 "to sleep".
Also, how much would it be with shipping to Finland?

Thanks,

-Hagss

Kind of weird strategy from Bitmain to ship Batch 3 before Batch 2..
Can't really enjoy it as Batch 2 -buyer..
Not really, Batch 2 buyers paid less than Batch 3. More than likely they finished production early and are offering to ship immediately for an extra $100 or you save $100 and they begin shipping on June 20th how the original listings terms stated.
Yes, it could just be all about money.
So it basically could be the same production batch, but those who are willing to pay more are on the VIP list a.k.a. Batch 3 .

60% of my S9 B1 not perform as specified Sad
Hashrate is under 13.3TH/s
Maybe this is one reason as well, that B2 is 12,93Th/s ?
Varying chip quality?
3659  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 12, 2016, 10:58:16 PM
Just bought one S9, Batch 2 as well, and after that it wen't grey again.
