Would you be able to make f-m-f combiner cable
I have some really good 15 awg 3 ft cables hooked into an Avalon 6 miner.
While the Avalon end seems decent the psu ends get hot.
I have some 20 jack break out boards for 2880 psu
So I need eight jacks to run two Avalon 6 miners
I rather use 16 jacks not 8
I can definitely have this produced at a price similar to the M-F-M cables listed on the first page, but theres pretty low demand for them (the 16awg cables are pretty reliable to 300W+) and it would need to be a custom order >100pcs, and with a 3-4 week delivery time. The next best thing would maybe then be to use 8pcs of these: " 6" Y-SPLITTERS " and 8pcs of these: " 24" PCIe-to-PCIe "

Can't make up my mind to sell off the S5's or wait for the Bitfury upgrade of the S5's. That would make them all small reliable 3.5TH miners…
Welcome to kano.is, I hope you enjoy your stay. It surprises me that miners of substantial size are only just now finding this pool. What is this Bitfury upgrade for the S5, do you have a link about this to share? Ukrainian project, which zOU mentioned: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368053.0 sidehack/kilo17 community miner project: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1368507.0Looking forward to see what is sidehack's final product The Sidehack project IS an blade upgrade for the S5`s. Yes, I am fully aware of that. It's a retrofit for S1 chassis, but it should fit just as fine with S3, S5 Just mean't that I wonder what will be the final specifications, connectivity etc. He was thinking out loud about 4TH/s /480W (stock) per 2 boards. Thanks Champs.. Made it with BTC a dress, but will change. I need to see stats before rolling out on 113 miners… 😨
Another thing that throws new Kano CKPool miners off is the concept of 5Nd and shifts. There is a ramp up period which takes about 1-2 days before your payouts are at maximum. There's a bit of an explanation here on the Help/Payouts page... https://www.kano.is/index.php?k=payoutEdit: Here are a couple of more resources that can also be beneficial to monitoring your gear...a couple of kano miners have developed tools on their own (tips go a long way!) https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com/https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1344360.0Thanks again. Helping getting an overview. Lets see how it goes. The kano.de has OK ping times, but could improve a little. I'm getting a pretty good 50ms latency. I'm located in Finland. Is yours much over that 50ms -ish range?

On the other hand, this is now quite exciting. Wonder if they come up with a new miner soon..
or a batch 15 of used units. That's a high chance too.

Is Holy bitcoin a reputable website to purchase this miner? I'm just looking for the best price and they seem to have it?
Yes. Scott is a decent reseller, also co-operating with some forum members here (sidehack, j4bberwock..) http://holybitcoin.com/But also check out this group buy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1391814.120Last run's price was 650 USD and I bought one. It included: Next run is coming soon and possibly with a lower price. I'd like to get one if this is a decent miner that should last a while? I was a little worried about configuring the Raspberry pi. It is a good quality build miner. This group buy is bought from BlockC and that rasp pi comes with pre-installed software. So it is plug&play and pool settings etc. are done like in any other miner.

Nice set up, but I hope the S1 is undervolted, otherwise I can't see why running a S1 today would be worth it. An S3 will use the same wattage as an S1.
My electricity includes in my apartment's flat rate rent. S1 is actually slightly overclocked Regardless of who is paying for it (your landlord in this case), a more efficient machine would serve you better. Get a used S3 (they're cheap!) and for the same wattage you get 2-3x the hash rate. I'm saving it to see if I can upgrade it by possibly buying the community miner boards in the future (Sidehack).

Here's a pic of it next to Ant S2:
Nice, but you should spin it 180* so that it has room to vent the exhaust air out and not right into a wall. yeah they like to breath can't do much with air restriction I partly agree with you. There is a decent distance from the wall, even though not a great one. I have tried to use that Ant S2 another way but results were not that great. All temps are under control.

No. That Venezuela -case where some big miners got caught, that was stealing. At least, based on what I've heard. I'm not violating my rent contract.
