PSU is Faulty, Now S7 LN is running contentiously( touch wood  Wink  ) with Seasonic  PSU .
Do Bitmain Provide warranty on PSU supplied with it ,  ?
From Bitmain APW3-12-1600-B2 product page:
3622  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: June 28, 2016, 06:01:51 PM
running out the warranty, you have already burned two cards, to be noted that I never overclokkato the miner, indeed, here in Sicily we 37gradi ° C, quindo I brought miner frequency 550, and you will burn too, just are tired of spending money, meteriali too poor, the power supplies are to bitmain, so the problem is always and only the bad material, then this miner and done badly, the blade that suffers most is the central one, when turned off the central one other blades down temperature, from 66 down to 58C °,

 Huh Huh Huh Cry Cry
The power density in the Antminer S7 is high.
It takes 1300-1400W at wall.
So that makes about 1200-1300W at the 12V rail.
That's a lot of heat for the heat sinks.

If your ambient temperature is 37 celsius, that is REALLY a lot for the miner to handle.
Drop the frequency down or find some cooling methods.

Interesting..
Bitmain already has some kind of plans for going into 10nm process and even into 7nm process.

This picture was released at Bitmain's Facebook page in 22th June 2016:

Please reply , Still problem persist.
Have you tried it with an another PSU?

For that price, ROI seems terrible

... I have 4 s-9's so I am not but I mine them on kano.is  which is the best I can do.
I'm doing the same and agree this 100%

Anybody know how to get the antminer S9 to hash on NICEHASH it just does not hash all other sites are OK. please help A.S.A.P ?

BMMiner (most likely Bitmain's own fork of cgminer) doesn't work on Nicehash.
I can confirm it is just their cgminer fork renamed.
And If so, it violates cgminer's open-source licence.
One thing I'm not so proud of as owning one. if that is the case.

This could be possible with the S9 as well?
Next to the PIC there is a one set of six pinholes.

Yes 6 Holes next to Pic virtually guarantees an ICSP connection.

Rich

Alrighty, that was what I was thinking as well.
3631  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 25, 2016, 08:42:54 PM
650M is the stock setting for batch 1.
600M is the stock setting for batches 2 and 3.
550M is possibly the stock setting for batch 4.
...
Is the B1 file the same as was shipped with the units?
And again, if anyone knows - how do I tell what I have?
My Ant S9, B2 has that very same firmware "s9-20160608-600M-release.tar.gz" that is on the site.
You can see the version date here:

3633  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Post-halving - Will miners still operate? on: June 25, 2016, 07:35:11 PM
I'm a home miner from Finland and I'm planning to keep on mining after the halving.

Thanks for the instructions by the way, I might buy a Pickit 3 and do this hack to my 3-board Antminer S9 batch 9 which I'm planning to use with a 1000W Enermax.

I'm looking forward to try these settings which should give the 3-board miner ~4.218Th/s (calc) hash rate:

Of course the possible HW error rate has some effect on the actual hash rate and I'll have to see about that.
3635  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: HaoBTC seems to have launched their own pool on: June 25, 2016, 05:51:06 PM
I have to agree that since there is the TX fees, which can be even as much as 1BTC or more, it makes no sense to mine empty blocks  Huh
Seems so stupid to skip some of the reward. When the block halving happens, the TX fees are going to be even bigger part of the total reward.
3636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: June 25, 2016, 05:29:44 PM
I paid the massive VAT 24% to the Finnish customs, received 1pc Antminer S9 batch 2 and started mining at last thursday night.
Had few problems with low hash rate in one of the boards and once two of the boards suddenly stopped hashing..
After few reboots it is now hashing ok, GH/S(avg) is 12838 Gh/s, so it is close to the advertised hash rate.
PSU that I'm using is Bitmain APW3-12-1600-B2.
3637  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain New Miner S7-LN 2.7T @697W discussion (Not official) on: June 23, 2016, 01:08:01 PM
Can someone tell me how many 6pin connectors are needed and what psu would be good to power one of these please. Currently got a corsair cx600m running some rboxes so got three pci connectors (one a dual molex to 6pin converter).

Thanks.
There is 7 PCI-E power connectors and it is recommended to use all of them.
Three PCI-E power connectors is way too little amount.
And you would need to underclock it if you are running it with ~600W PSU.
Based on my experiences with Avalon6 you could try with 2 connectors per board and one for controller -> total of 5 PCI-E connectors and make sure that the connectors won't heat up. Just make sure that the wires are at least 16AWG.

Are you asking this because you have other plans for the Enermax Revolution 87+ 1000W PSU that comes with this?

edit: Oh, I saw your posts in sidehack's thread and realised the reason.
For his version of S7-LN Corsair CX600M would be enough but you still have quite little amount of PCI-E connectors.
5 would be great.

anyway to quiet down the S7's fans?
I don't know if its normal or not, I have 4680/4200 RPM  @ 53C/54C/52C @ 675Hz  4.56GH/s
Put the S7 in to a soundproof cabinet like I did or underclock it and reduce the fan speed.
What does your sound proof cabinet consist of? still need a lot of air flow to keep it cool and fresh cool air in
I made one myself using this upper part of a closet http://jysk.fi/sailytys/vaatekaapit/tarvikkeet/ylakaappi-price-star-2-ovea-valkoinen , soundproof foam and 6pcs. Arctic F12 fans in a push-pull setup.

The latest version of Awesome Miner adds support for Antminer S9.

Awesome Miner can monitor multiple miners and provide notifications, fault recovery, custom triggers and actions, SSH and scripting.

with which card you are mining litecoin?
He seems to be mining litecoin with KnCMiner Titan.

About Antminer S9, batch 2:
Whoah, I just paid ~440 EUR for the tax (VAT 24% in Finland). Shocked
Now I'm eagerly waiting to start mining with it as soon as it arrives.
