This could be a stupid question, but as an idea: Will it be possible to use same the Raspberry Pi as I'm now using with Avalon 6, to control these units?

Same thing here, no reply from Jabberwock for days now Seems like it's been a while since he's been here at bitcointalk.org Last Active: March 11, 2016, 11:29:56 PM E-mail notifications about PM's should work though.

Wow, some nice setups in this thread. Here's my setup: - 1x Avalon 6 with Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 1200W
- 2x Antminer S7 with 2x Bitmain APW3-12-1600 1600W
- 1x Antminer S2 with Enermax Revolution87+ 1000W
- 1x Antminer S1 with Super Flower Golden Green SF-500P14XE 500W

Sorry to hear that, talks_cheep Any error log? How are the temps, 12V input? I got the Avalon 6 today in perfect condition. It's a perfect add to my setup, I'm now mining with total of 14TH/s. I'm really pleased with this group buy and that SANYO fan was a real cherry on the cake! Thanks a lot, Phil! Here's a pic of it next to Ant S2:

My 2pcs S7 are in another room in a DIY soundproof cabinet but they still make a lot of noise.

Let's hope it gets lower

I was curious about the new miner, so I asked BW about it via e-mail. And I even got a response pretty quickly. .......... Good to get a reply, even if it does not say much.... Rich Yeah. They are up to it, but they don't promise any schedule yet

I was curious about the new miner, so I asked BW about it via e-mail. And I even got a response pretty quickly. (click on thumbnail) Response: Yes of course. the general release of the new miner is sure to be, but the timing is not yet known exactly. Our staffer, who deals with these issues now is not in the office. as will appear more detailed information about it we will tell you, the main thing that you reminded about it in advance
Original message: Hi! Is BW going to make a general release of the newest (14nm?) miner like Bitmain has made with Antminer S7 and Canaan Creative has done with Avalon6? Seems like it would perform more efficiently than these miners above, which would be great news for miners.

HagssFIN --- has cleared customs in Finland
I'm still waiting for Posti to send me the arrival ID needed for that customs clearance, which I can do online at www.tulli.fi .

Please do another group of avalons!!
I'm furious I missed this one.
The one regret i have with these is my particular unit will only perform to spec if feeding it a platinum rated EVGA and believe me I used 2 Corsair AXi's both 1200 and 1500 versions neither seemed to ever consistently push those all important 12.v
If I power my A6 with anything other than this EVGA 1200 Platinum it usually starts strong and by 4 to 6 hours in it's dropped down to 11.8v and by 10hours...forget it.
It's down to 11.7 or 11.6 and I'm avg 2990Gh/s it's weird.
I guess it might be due to my inability to provide it with a 220 outlet?
Whatever the convenience of the 4 PCI-Es and the dramatic noise level difference are really appealing in comparison to my pair of S7s that squeal like Victoria Azarenka in a 3rd set tie break.
Honestly I can hear them half way across my house.
Phillipa please pm me if you get the go ahead from your contact for another round.
Thanks in advance ;-)

I am waiting for pricing info from kilo17 and yan. I also have r00t$ gear due to him on Mon-------------- 1 unit IL biffa 's gear due to him on tue-------------- 2 unit's U.K. hagssFin's gear due to him this week ------ 1 unit Finland So I would not start until tues so hold your funds figure close to same pricing 650 maybe less. Posti (Finnish postal service) has received my shipment and it is at the customs in Helsinki. I'll make the customs clearance as soon as Posti gives me the arrival ID. I'm guessing that I'll get it in Tuesday

This is probably the worst so called "manufacturer thread" start ever. Full of jibberish nonsense

Try this calculator and see it for yourself http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.phpIt is hard though to guess difficulty change% for each adjustment, BTC price, etc.

While way hugely early, there isn't any indication of a huge increase coming this time around.
On a related topic: Where do folks get the BTC price since btcquote seems to be stuck at $413.36 for a week or so?
BitcoinWisdom seems to be working ok https://bitcoinwisdom.com/

Exciting.. Bitcoin Difficulty: 158,427,203,767 Estimated Next Difficulty: 165,685,950,107 (+4.58%) Adjust time: After 122 Blocks, About 19.6 hours Hashrate(?): 1,218,052,943 GH/s Block Generation Time(?): 1 block: 9.7 minutes 3 blocks: 28.9 minutes 6 blocks: 57.9 minutes Updated: 16:0 (8.4 minutes ago If the hash rate at the moment of difficulty change is ~1218000000 GH/s, difficulty rises approx. +7.4% If the hash rate at the moment of difficulty change is ~1220000000 GH/s, difficulty rises approx. +7.58% How I came up with this estimate: Based on history, difficulty divided by the hash rate (GH/s) equals approx. 139,69838.. and it has been about this way through the difficulty history.
139,69838 * 1218000000 equals difficulty of 170152626840 139,69838 * 1220000000 equals difficulty of 170432023600
yeah but that 1218ph is not for the last 1850 blocks. by the way it would be good for you if it where as your guess was 7.5 iirc here is the best "real time" lazy number https://bitcoincharts.com/Blocks 403094 Total BTC 15.327M Difficulty 158427203767 Estimated 165490408235 in 106 blks Network total 1103595.192 Thash/s Blocks/hour 5.84 / 617 s divide 16549 by 15842 = 1.044628 or 4.4628% jump with 106 blocks the best 'real time' number is 2016/336 = 6 that is zero % so I think block 401194 was the first block this diff jump 401194 (Main Chain) 2016-03-05 00:31:41 403095 (Main Chain) 2016-03-17 16:17:52
so 1901 blocks in 304 hours 20 minutes should be 1826 = 4.11% I am not sure and need to check thisI checked and got this 401184 (Main Chain) 2016-03-04 23:25:56 403096 (Main Chain) 2016-03-17 16:30:08 1912 blocks in 305 hours should be 1830 so 1912/1830 = 4.48% with 104 to go Oh, yeah. I didn't notice that it was an average of last 504 blocks. So the hash rates shown in the history are always an average of 2016 blocks? So the theory stands the same, but I got the hash rate numbers wrong.

Hello,
did anyone tried to power single S7 with this PSU, it is rated at 100A = 1200W 12V output on 220V network (I am from Europe so this is what I got at home).
S7 specs says it consumes 1210W from the wall, so it is quite close.
Maybe if I downclock it a bit it would be fine? Anyone tried this?
...
From bitmaintech.com: S7 Specifications: 1. Hash Rate: 4.73 TH/s ±5% 2. Power Consumption: 1293W + 10% (at the wall, with APW3, 93% efficiency, 25C ambient temp) 3. Power Efficiency: 0.25 J/GH + 10% (at the wall, with APW3, 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp) 4. Rated Voltage: 11.60 ~13.00V 5. Chip quantity per unit: 135x BM1385 6. Dimensions: 301mm(L)*123mm(W)*155mm(H) 7. Cooling: 2x 12038 fan 8. Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 40 °C 9. Network Connection: Ethernet 10. Default Frequency: 700M It is more like 1400+ W at the wall.

Just got today for a reasonable price a used PSU, Silverstone Strider Gold Evolution 1200W ready to hook up with A6 Since you are in Finland I want to be sure it works. It will get packed tonight and shipped tomorrow. I will go online to double check that psu that you mention to be sure it works. well for this unit. Ok, thanks. Don't worry, I'm an electrician It's quite reliable brand PSU with nice output of 1200W (1300w peak), one 12V rail. I checked Avalon A6 specs here: https://ehash.com/product/avalon6-v6-0/
