No major updates in Canaan Creative's Github for a week.
Could be that they have the code ready and not too long time before the public release for the miner is here Smiley
3463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: October 24, 2016, 10:49:47 AM
Bitmain has a new website design
Main page: http://bitmain.com/
Shop: https://shop.bitmain.com/main.htm

I almost thought that the S9 and R4 were in stock again but you can't add any into the shopping cart.
Add to cart -button is grey.

Are they announcing next batch for S9 soon?
I have no idea about that.

I have seen in your signature that you are running many miners in your farm and which is quit interesting for me. How much total mining speed you are running?
See the signature, ~35 Th/s.

Thats nice. Are you running your all miners at home or some data-centers?
Come on man, the signature says 35.1Th/s Home miner.

One board on S9 (two month old) does not work anymore. It is still under warranty, but is it even worth it sending it to hong kong?
What is the cost to do that from US, approximately? Instructions are peculiar and I have no ability to photograph anything as the miner is in hosting. What did you guys use, UPS or FEDEX?
Philipma1957 here in forum has had good experience with BitmainWarranty.
In US it might be a good idea to deal with them.

3469  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fan details for S7 on: October 17, 2016, 01:36:37 PM
If 74CFM and 1350rpm max. would be enough, then this would be a cheap one.
https://www.arctic.ac/eu_en/arctic-f12-pwm.html

It costs only 5.50EUR here in Finland.

I have experience with the 140mm version (Arctic F14 PWM).
I used two of them as intake fan replacement for Antminer S2 and they did their job great.
3470  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fan details for S7 on: October 16, 2016, 11:05:38 PM
Yes, the lighter blades could result in less power hungry fan and maybe in long-term you could save some money in your situation.
Depends how long you are going to mine with the S7LN.
12 months of 1.31GBP/month equals 15.72GBP, so in case of "12 months mining left" your fans should be cheaper than 15.72GBP
24 months it's double.
etc.
3471  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: October 16, 2016, 09:50:24 PM
Are S9 i/o connectors the same as S7 (18pin?). I can't tell as my S9s are at the hosting site.
Somehow, there are connectors on sale at bitmain's part shop, but they don't mention S9.
Yeah connectors are the same.
See these pictures (copyright dogiecoin.com):

So are you talking about this 18-pin cable at Bitmaintech.com?

3472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fan details for S7 on: October 16, 2016, 09:29:21 PM
No problem, glad I could help  Smiley

edit:
2.7-3.0A is for 100% speed fan though.
Fan's with S7LN (sidehack modded) are spinning
with so low speed that they don't probably eat much power.

And if you would compare the current with the S7 fan at for example 2500rpm
versus some other brand 2500rpm fan you would get quite the same numbers.

So I would not see I big need for changing fans.
3473  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Fan details for S7 on: October 16, 2016, 09:06:14 PM
There is not much info available about the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.
Voltage: 12VDC
Current: ?
Fan speed: 4300rpm max.
Old product page: https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020160105104607947aoAkWsJK06D0

https://www.amazon.com/DELTA-FFC1212DE-4PIN-Strong-Cooling-200CFM/dp/B0062WSISG
This one is almost like the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.
Voltage: 12VDC
Current: 3.0A
Fan speed: 4600rpm max.

So I would guesstimate 2.7-3.0A for the S7 120mm 4300rpm fan.

You need a professional to help you out.
3475  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: October 15, 2016, 10:37:09 PM
after restart it seem like GH/S(avg) display the real hashrate and GH/S(RT) just display static wrong hashrate
No.
Your six minutes average is indeed 8809.98Gh/s
and the real time hash rate at that very moment is 12768.53Gh/s.

Few minutes averages are not interesting at all.
What you should be looking for is few hours average.
3476  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help on power source to run mining rig - 480V, 60 Hz 3-Phase power on: October 15, 2016, 10:17:49 PM
Well that power source is a tricky one.
480 V is your phase-to-phase voltage.
480 V divided with square root 3 equals your phase to neutral voltage, about 277 V.

Now most ATX PSU's have a spec for max 240 V.
IBM 2880W Bladecenter H server PSU has a spec for max 240 V.
Bitmain APW3 has a spec for max 264 V.
Bitmain APW5 has a spec for max 265 V.

You would need some equipment feeding the PSU's with proper voltage or find some PSU's that are ok for higher voltage (I personally don't remember seen any so that I could mention one here).

And are you sure it's 480 V for real and not for example 400 V phase-to-phase voltage?

NotFuzzyWarm has reported that the booting takes a long time for the newest batches.
Have you waited for like 20-30 minutes?
3479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: October 15, 2016, 12:47:22 PM

""Kyle Torpey ‏@kyletorpey  October 13
@BitfuryGeorge what percentage of the network hashrate you think you guys will attain? ""

""George Kikvadze ‏@BitfuryGeorge  October 13
@kyletorpey target is 30 prc but vast majority of chips will be sold to 3rd parties .. to keep the netwrok decentralized ! ""

Does anyone know something about these 3rd parties?
Is any 3rd party coming up with a miner for public release?

Punin, please tell us something!  Wink
3480  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9 batch 17 (and 16?) changes on: October 14, 2016, 07:22:33 PM
Is there a fixed hash rate which is achieved by the miner setting up different freqs per board? (best working settings per board)
