3821  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S7 Batch 9 Power Draw on: January 27, 2016, 07:53:13 AM
1293W is the power drawn at 12V side.  +10% is added, when you calculate power drawn at wall, using Bitmain APW3-12-1600-B2 (effiency 93%) .
It's not that bad way to describe power usage.

poodle63, thank you very much! Just a question : if I order from BITMAIN itself and I pay in BTC do I have to pay duty fees? And if yes how can I calculate them? (I'm in Italy)
Thanks for help!

You pay VAT (22% in Italy) only.

Hi all

I have a issue with one of my Antminer S7's

I ordered two at the same time and they have been working perfectly for about a week until in the middle of the night one of them just started beeping,
It stopped hashing and wont respond when I try and log into the web interface
Obviously I have tested its ethernet cable, turned it off and on again and even attempted a hard reset via the recessed button on the side.

Once its completed its "reset" it just continues to beep with a solid red light?

Any advice on who I can contact in Bitmain regarding this unit as its effectively dead?!

Regs
Alex

The reason for the delay in customs clearance International of your neck is described below. Where possible, FedEx provides tips for troubleshooting

1. The importer must provide the number of tariffs. Will the exporter. Angry Angry Angry

for me are idiots, those bitmain
Now my shipment is stuck in customs Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Huh Huh Huh Huh

I had no problems in customs, when I made the customs declaration myself in Finnish Customs' internet service.
I provided them info with appropriate TARIC-code (8471.49.0090), paid VAT 24% and that's it. Took less than 10min.

You simply cannot make an ASIC miner without any knowledge in the subject..

Yeah, this needs to come public and make the scammers pay for their scamming scheme.

What happen for de.kano.is? Not connected.

This:

...
Ah I forgot all about explaining what happened with this!

Firstly, the DE node is now all stable.
Very nice numbers Smiley
Code:
1.05PH/s  93.8 SPS  70 users  378 workers

'Tuning' some system settings has resolved it's problems.
In the process, I also upgraded it to double everything so it's now quite a good (more than necessary) remote node as far as power goes.
...
OK well I posted that too soon Sad

I'm taking the DE node down.

It's started having problems less than 2 minutes after that post.

Sorry about that, I'll inform once things are sorted out.
3831  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Putting an S7 in the room I am sleeping in? on: January 19, 2016, 04:10:46 PM
I couldn't sleep in the same room even with my Antminer S2. And S2 is less noisy than S7.

I have an electrician here right now who has come to wire a 220v line for me. I am intending to use the PSU from Bitmain.

Can anyone tell us if the PSU comes with a power cord to plug into the outlet?

I am in the US and we don't know what sort of socket to install. Is it like for a US dryer?
PSU comes with no cable.
PSU has C13 female connector. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320#C13

NEMA outlet socket depends on what kind of total setup you are having, what size of breaker, wiring etc. Your electrician should know more about these things.

3835  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What happens after 16nm? on: January 17, 2016, 09:44:56 PM
I think there is still a plenty of things to develop in 16nm section in Bitcoin mining after these next chips that are coming (Bitfury, etc.)
But yeah, generally seems that Moore's law is apparently slowing a little.
3836  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yesminer M20 / M10 on: January 17, 2016, 09:41:15 PM
German section has basically a very bad feeling about this whole Yesminer thing.

Yesterday I sent an email to bitmain, saying more or less when they began to send the miner batch 9, if they met the timing,
but nothing to do, no answer,
perhaps I heard back from bitmain tomorrow Monday January 18
Dude, it's weekend.

Has anyone gotten a batch 9 shipping confirmation yet?

Do people think Bitmain will go back to a fixed USD price if BTC keeps dropping?  Guesses as to what the fixed price would be?
No shipping confirmation yet, ordered at 27th Dec. 2015

Nice contest... but I see very slim chances to get a block from my 1.4 THs  Cry
Cheer up! I managed to found a block in solo.ckpool.org with 1.2THs  Wink  So anything is possible.

Nice, how long were you mining for?
I think it was within a day after I added my Antminer S2 to support S1 (OCed) (equals totally 1.2THs).
