Shipping is included.

That is not true.  It specifically says that shipping is not included and you have to add the item to your cart and go to check out to get actual shipping costs.
Did you buy one? Because I checked out, selected UPS, and paid and received confirmation and I paid $0 in shipping.
Hmmm, well that is true. I tried now as well and I get $0 for shipping with all logistics companies.

You guys actually bought this thing at $1400???  No wonder Bitmain can charge what ever they like...miners will buy anything from them no matter what the cost.

@Bitmain, change the price of the R4 to $4000...you'll still be able to sell them like hotcakes!
I didn't buy one, because I doesn't make any sense when it comes to ROI. I just tried to put it to the shopping cart and see the total price.
3562  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Antminer R4 on: August 29, 2016, 09:30:25 PM
The price at the "testing site" which they accidentally leaked out to public was 1000USD but now with the actual release the price for the Antminer R4 is 1395USD.

3564  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BW MINER on: August 29, 2016, 08:26:43 PM
B11 isn't even their newest miner.

There is no more specific specs or pictures about the BW.com B16 miner though.
The only thing I know about it is that they advertise the power consumption to be 0.149J/GHs, which is worse than with Antminer S9.

But who knows, maybe they have improved and even the B16 is in the past now and they have new miner for their internal mining.
-----------------
Sidehack: I hope all the best for your project and thanks for doing efforts for the community mining! I still have 4pcs S1 heatsinks and some fans laying around, so I'll definitely buy boards if you can come up with ones.
3565  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Bitman Antminer S9 Water Cooling on: August 29, 2016, 08:18:13 PM
They use thermal adhesive but it is difficulty to guess more specs about it.
Probably some Chinese thermal adhesive.
The one that comes to my head first thing when someone says thermal adhesive is Arctic Silver Thermal Adhesive http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silver_thermal_adhesive.htm
So there's an example of thermal adhesive.
3566  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 7 on: August 29, 2016, 08:14:30 PM
I had few Facebook messages with Canaan.io today, but only thing they could say is that news are coming soon.
3567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BW MINER on: August 29, 2016, 08:10:33 PM
I have asked BW.com two times about the public release for their miner.
Looks like they have no interest for selling their miner except maybe for the large scale customers.

(see this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1429033.60)
First attempt and their response - March 22, 2016:
If it would be possible to get efficient results with undervolting and underclocking, it would be tempting  Smiley

In March 22 I asked BW.com if they are going for a public release with their miner and this the answer I got, I posted it in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1206056.msg14280444#msg14280444
I was curious about the new miner, so I asked BW about it via e-mail.
And I even got a response pretty quickly.  Smiley

Response:
Yes of course. the general release of the new miner is sure to be, but the timing is not yet known exactly.
Our staffer, who deals with these issues now is not in the office.
as will appear more detailed information about it we will tell you, the main thing that you reminded about it in advance

Original message:
Hi! Is BW going to make a general release of the newest (14nm?) miner like
Bitmain has made with Antminer S7 and Canaan Creative has done with Avalon6?
Seems like it would perform more efficiently than these miners above, which
would be great news for miners.

Second attempt and their response - July 13, 2016:
I emailed them again:

Hi!
I see that you recently updated the miner page at BW.com.
When can we expect a public release of the miner? Smiley
They answered:
Quote
HI ~
we are miners has no release and if the sale will be published on the web site price.
thx for your questions!

Wasn't there a Russian company that was suppose to release a water heater powered with Bitfury mining chips?

Yeah. When I pointed out that it was not economical at all the response to my post was shut the fuck up.

I do not think they ever sold any thing since they were a long time preorder.
It was an Ukrainian company and the web site is still up http://en.hotmine.io/

This seems like a nice project, if the project is still being sold I'll probably purchase some for this winter.
I don't know what is their status with the miner though. I haven't heard anyone at the forum buying one.

Any news about this project?
3573  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: August 26, 2016, 10:58:34 AM
The link is working ok.
Nothing about the warranty though.

Is the warranty 90 days as usual?
Will the price be 1000USD for the R4 and 300USD for the APW5 like in the product pages I saw?

Mining software is most likely Cgminer -fork "BMMiner" like with the S9.

https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020160728031839203Gq83S56J0622

Whoah, that's one beefy PSU!
And the price is beefy too! 300USD
3577  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: August 25, 2016, 10:19:58 AM
Tupsu: There is one chip missing which is probably stuck in to the detached heat sink.
I can't see why they can't come up with a new chip and 2pcs heat sinks and fix it?  Huh
3578  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Unable to access AntMiner on: August 24, 2016, 10:09:10 PM
See the location for Antminer S3's reset button from the picture below.
You will need a small item: paper clip or a needle for example to press it.

The following quote is from dogie's setup thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702653.0
How do I reset settings to default?

- Use a paper clip to press the reset button - located next to the ethernet connector - down for
5-10 seconds. The miner will then reset with stock settings.
3579  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Make your own Switched PDU. on: August 24, 2016, 07:58:42 PM
I think that even though I could come up with schematics for this, you would have problems with electrical knowledge, acquiring the parts etc.
And depending how much features you want into it, the parts are gonna cost as well.
3580  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Unable to access AntMiner on: August 24, 2016, 07:32:19 PM
I don't know which Antminer you are talking about, but see the manual for resetting the miner by using the reset button.

See Antminer S7 manual for example: https://bitmaintech.com/files/download/Antminer%20S7%20user%20guide.pdf
Chapter 7.4.

Manuals for every Antminer model can be found from Bitmain's site:
