i dunno what you mean - i only have one account.

i thought this was the IXC promo/giveaway thread - apologies if its members only.

the plague quote is from romeo & juliet. after mercutio (sp?) gets fkd over trying to be a peacekeeper

if BTC & IXC are 'twins' then surely they're both as 'doomed' as each other...

or not?

Dear Ed,

We have reviewed your situation (DOA board was DOA) and would like to resolve the issue with your machine by sending you a fully tested SP20. This will save going back and forth (886hrs) about the different parts.

I know you already sent the management board. Please ship the machine back to us at our cost and we will send you a new machine.

I just emailed Barbara and asked about warranty - i hadn't thought to ask, but well done. Good question.

Answered here -

 Apr 20, 11:12

Dear Edgar,

Our warranty only applies to the customer who purchased the machine from us. If someone buys the machine from you our warranty does not apply to that person. This is stated in our Terms of Sale.

not even a fkn t-shirt!!

Nor an apology...

For how much you complained here .. I would do the same like them, if I were in their shoes.
If you were easier to work with, then maybe yes,  .. a happy word/thing here and there ..

Thx for your input, whooper.   816 hours downtime so far...

For the treatment i have received I can assure you i have kept my 'complaining' to an absolute minimum!

If i was not treated so poorly, what indeed would i have to 'complain' about??

kind of twisted logic, whooper.

hardware fails - its understood.

Unhelpful & costly attitude is easily avoidable, yet persists!

getting ignored by 'support@' leads one to voice ones dissatisfaction elsewhere & louder until it is resolved... here!

816hrs... !

E2A - Anyone wanting to buy a 'new' SP20E sent direct from Israel, I may be able to accommodate.

If SP-T would prefer to 'buy it back', that is also preferable.
1048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 16, 2015, 10:15:40 AM
notice how quick they are to respond to posts here???  unlike the much preferred 'email support@'

After all the back & forths - Apr 16, 10:50

Dear Ed,

We have reviewed your situation (DOA board was in fact DOA) and would like to resolve the issue with your machine by sending you a fully tested SP20 (weeks later). This will save going back and forth (seriously???) about the different parts(more than we already have).

I know you already sent the management board (amazing). Please ship the machine back to us at our cost and we will send you a new (newly 'repaired' after being RMA'd) machine.

(make sure you send it first though, and wait..... because we dont trust you not to rip us off somehow & need to scrape every penny we can)

ugh..

notice i didnt even mention the 150USD coupon they cant wont honour, despite repeatedly trying to squeeze ridiculous amounts of USD out of me (and others) at every 'opportunity'...

Did Bitmain take over or something??

not even a fkn t-shirt!!

Nor an apology...

1051  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 15, 2015, 01:25:56 AM
best of luck HerbPean!!

After over 2 weeks of non-support, i was finally permitted to return the DOA already RMA'd board back yesterday.

hopefully the next one wont be a dud, and if it is the returns process hopefully wont be so prolonged like this time.

with the accusations & attitude

quite disappoint-Ed

@Gordon - did you get sorted out yet?

1052  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 13, 2015, 11:53:29 AM
We're sorry for our slow response time due to Passover holiday.

Guy

many thanks for that, Guy.

I received no such pleasantry in my mail from Barbara.

She has decided however, contrary to the previous 'bordering on libelous' mail to finally agree to maybe swap the dead board for a working one.

maybe...

if it hasnt 'rusted/corroded' in the fortnight i was told NOT to ship it back because it was 'working perfectly' and 'the ONLY reason it would not be, was if it was incorrectly installed'

bearing in mind it arrived dusty, scratched & non-functional.

1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: April 10, 2015, 03:53:56 AM
I've said it for a long time, we should all withdraw every last one we have on there in a coordinated fashion at a specific time, for a specific time period. That would at least allow us to know what we're dealing with.

i was under the impression that we already did (something like) that.

I personally have 2 UNO on cryptsy.

1054  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 09, 2015, 07:48:30 AM
My Reply to the above;

Im afraid this is inaccurate again, the board is NOT working - how you assume to know that it 'is' baffles me.  (as it is not.)

as i have clearly explained at least 6 times to 5 members of your team - 'ravi, guy, katya, yourself twice & yesterday zvi'

i have swapped the NON-FUNCTIONING  SP20E board with the functioning SP20 board and the miner works  (all except the NON FUNCTIONING SP20E board)

if i have been able to successfully disassemble & re-assemble SP20's & a considerably more awkward SP30, why would you imagine i might require assistance installing this DEAD board to make it work?

If you are unwilling to replace the DEAD board, please just say so rather than implying that i am imagining the fact that the board I received DOES NOT WORK.

exasperate-Ed
1055  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 09, 2015, 06:07:00 AM
 Dear Edgar,

I just spoke with Zvi and he said that you spoke with him. Zvi was not aware that we had tested the board carefully before we sent it to you and we know it is working. Please do not send the board back.

The only reason the board may not be working is if it is not installed correctly.

If you need assistance installing the board please let me know.

Regards,
Barbara

Finally received an RMA SP20E board (unfortunately it arrived dead/DOA)

Refuses to accept its DOA

Apparently it is working and i am just doing it wrong... despite having already tested the dead board and replaced it with a non dead one.

DOA board is DOA - not sure what else i can say.

Im baffled!! ( signed up for 'something/nothing')

But smiling, despite receiving a dud RMA SP20 board this morning.

Already emailed @support.

Happy April Fools Day!!

1058  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 29, 2015, 01:54:50 PM
both my SP20E & SP30 are STILL offline with seemingly dead MMC boards.

Multiple emails to @support have gone unanswered.

STILL waiting on the experimental SD card/firmware... STILL, BUT Now UnNeeded

STILL waiting on ribbon cables... NO LONGER, THX

STILL waiting on a reply that isnt 'karma-derp / mail support@'...

Dude, everytime I visit this thread are you having different problems or is this the same one that is just dragging out over time? Why can't it just be taken care of by SP-TECH and be done with it?

you're asking me?

ive been asking the same questions in multiple places forever, it seems.

i try not to offend (mostly) so i think some people may envision an opportunity to take the piss.

the SP30 is now running fine after eventually getting the board replaced.

i imagine the SP20E will be fine too, eventually.

1059  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Thermal Compound on: March 25, 2015, 10:57:18 AM
Hey its been a while since you started this thread. Just wondering if you found any substitute thermal compound that would work for the S2.

Arctic MX4 was fine - im sure there are cheaper/better options.

Did it make a difference in temperature after you applied MX-4 ?

significant drop on all, but then the state of the previous attempt meant i might've been able to use peanut butter and get  better temps, having applied it correctly
1060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 24, 2015, 04:33:42 AM
weeks, not days...

i opened my SP30, vacuum wouldnt budge the gunk, too tacky - high humidity.

toothbrush sorted em right out. still no hashing though >frowny face<

bit of a mission to get to the bottom board but why not eh.

has anyone discussed the 'reset button' on the MMC board anywhere?

Most who I have heard of use a recovery SD.   Would be interesting on reset button, not sure what you will get there.

recovery SD is step 1

If MMC board is faulty, boot SD is required

If recovery & boot fail then the board needs replacing as explained by Guy recently (ish)

i just received shipping notification of the ribbons & the SP30 MMC board, no mention of SP20E board...

>500 hours downtime for SP20E & SP30... over 21 days of stalled communications with @support.

I still want to know how you ran them. What speed/freq. Or was something else causing the defect/damage since you had 2 things burn out at the same time?

nowhere near extreme. around 65-75% of max.

failures occurred during brief power-cut.

the sp30/SP20E were ok with recovery SD the first few times.

SP30 then required boot SD / SP20E never did.

Both failed at the same time - where multiple recovery & boot do Nothing At All.
