have you contacted bitpay (assuming you paid thru them)

elyse giles is a very helpful person who has got me a promise of a bank transfer today - i am still waiting for it but i have received 3-4 emails from cointerra indicating it is literally 'being processed now'

i decided to wait before posting this and in the meantime it was refunded.

the cash is now in my account.

the person who contacted me advised using this email.

jc@cointerra.com

Good Luck All, and get in touch with BitPay if you can - i cant express my appreciation for their input.

Ed.

seems i lost 100GBP in the exchange but i can live with that..... just.

1423  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S2 Red light on Beaglebone Controller on: June 02, 2014, 04:29:33 AM
you can try just pulling the sd and reinserting it - that does work sometimes  but agree on class10 over any other class.

also you can adjust the screen brightness using the dial either on the back of the panel on earlier batches or under the sticker/label/faceplate on newer models.

there are images somewhere - more than likely the main s2 thread but i couldnt find at this moment

has anyone noticed any 'dwindledown' on any of their s2's?

my batch 4 seems to love dropping down to 8xxGH/s but goes right back up to 1xxxGH/s after a power cycle...

So KNCFraudsters have to build and ship all Neptunes in the next 30 days and there has been only one post on this thread in the last 24 hours. The anticipation is palpable Cheesy

Well what do you expect when there are in-stock miners with better pricing and performance than Neptune? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598502.0
Are you moving to Israel soon to become "Spongebob-Tech Director of Communications"? Wink

lol!! indeed!!

i wonder what his response will be if 'through no fault of their own' spondoolies fail to deliver or fail in any other way...

will you (roadstress) be doing an 'orama and disappearing on us only to come out of the woodwork months later to decry 'it wus nuffin to do wiv me, they owe me faasaands'

before scuttling back into fedorascurity.... (girls size t-shirt scurity)

or up the japseye/ringpiece of the latest, gratest 'kids on the block'     (i spelled it grate as in grate on my fkn nerves, not great)

So, today it's June 1st.
Am I wrong or wasn't this supposed to be the day where knccloud should start serving the remaining first batch Neptune customer(s) ??

**remember:
CA batch shipping earlier than first public batch, batch#2 shipping 4 weeks after first public batch but still in Q2:
I'D say they have an interesting understanding about the concept of time.

There will 'soon' be news... like middle of June or so, announcing proudly the cloud-mining starts on 00:00 July 1st I guess.
Let's see.
28th May 2014, 04:13 PM
Hi,

Any information regarding shipping will come in the form of a newsletter update, not a comment on a forum post I am afraid. Please await the next update for further information. I cannot promise when this will be, but it will be soon, so please keep an eye out.

oh so reminiscent of the old 'we'll be selling boards finally so get ur coins handy'

words. don't. mean. anything.
1426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ARE YOU A COINTERRA BURN VICTIM ? on: June 01, 2014, 08:32:02 AM
coterra will pay off or?

seeing will be believing...

i have faith ravi and his team will prefer to cough up the refunds, albeit shamefully late!

Not to pick on you specifically, because we're all in the same situation, and I have been equally complicit in this: Faith is defined as belief without sufficient evidence.

There's no reason to trust anything we are being told by Cointerra. Lying is a cooperative act. We want to believe what they say because the alternative is too horrible to accept. The only way a lie works is if you agree to participate. When it comes to Cointerra, I choose to have zero faith, and instead act only based on evidence.

a very fair point and i agree wholeheartedly - but where dos that leave us??

what actions have you taken now that you accept they are liars & unwilling to refund us in a timely manner if at all?
1427  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A word from the team at CoinTerra. on: May 31, 2014, 04:18:21 PM
nope - emails go unanswered.

the only correspondence is ridiculous offers of additional hardware.

kind of embarrassing

we wont answer you or refund you but would you consider our 'awesome' time limited alternative.....

1428  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ARE YOU A COINTERRA BURN VICTIM ? on: May 31, 2014, 05:13:40 AM
Yes, I am a burn victim of Cointerra and also Cloudhashing, because these two work together on the scam!
The article in Reddit of May is absolutely right, the earlier comment in this tread stating that Cointerra provides approx 15% of mining is also correct, however...
that is mostly equipment fresh from manufacturing, paid by customers(!), been put into mining production not for customers but providing mining profit for Cointerra and Cloudhashing!
Then when customer (like me) who actually paid for the mining equipment start querying on the status of delivery of our/my equipment... the dreaded scam excuses are starting!
That so-called "great" alternative offer, where customers are offered 2 units for the price of 1... just the same story... postponing the scam effect just another few weeks/months out!
Customers are bound to pay any order within 7DAYS(!), and Cointerra has all the resources available to assure that is checked, but when it comes down to paying their own bills and refunds...
then there is not a single person available!
I have been burnt; Cointerra and Cloudhashing have cashed in already, their management has become filthy rich... over our backs!!!

karma is on our side, do not fret yet.

send your complaints to the relevant bodies and apply pressure, there are already plenty of complaints against these 'geniuses'

misappropriation of funds is a crime - they can act like they are unaware of this fact but that does not change the fact

BTW, one of the pictures is an absolute horror show with endless rows of Jupiter modules hashing.

As PsychoticBoy said, it's disgusting. It really is.

Not more than 5%? This datorhall is probably big enough to be 100%+ of what they shipped to customers.

All our earnings are disappearing because we are competing against this (I copied it to imgur so I could embed it):

edited out pic

Thanks knc - assholes Angry

Here - blast from the past - lest people forget what kind of MFs they are

Did KNC have anything to say about this?
I hadn't seen this pic, it's stunning.

Sam said 'Ohta su marvalic plesodoro'

and apparently when he met Sonny, Josh & Yifu he exclaimed 'U kulle rah doe kankee kung'   (yup. phonieX1969, you too)

when he met Alex the gimp he told him - 'Bargon u noa-a-uyat'

and finally to you Franken Jup brothers - you shouldve asked 'Va foppa gee wontahumpa?

etc...

WTF? I would have surely sent him your way if they asked, but thanks for thinking of your pal Phoenix...  wanker. lol.
Glad to see your spirits are high since getting your refund...  congrats
Ever thought about WHY your refund took the longest of any-ones?  Hmmm

i would imagine my increasing level of frustration had something to do with my refunds timing - you may have noticed that the day before i was refunded by KnC, i had begun my red font campaign against another sack of cunts (cointerra).

unlike the 8 months of ball stroking that you did before the most monumental backflip into 'they done us wrong, mates'

u still holding on to your final one/two/sold em all/ebayed em/bullshit /waffle/trytoohardtobelikedbyrandoms neptune rigs??

Ever wondered why you became a misinformed, know -it-all (know-fk-all), needy douchebag who gets told by pretty much everyone who pays attention that 'no, you're wrong' quite so often?

dont answer - its all rhetorical, liar.

18.2 BTC  refunded    Cool Cool

While some lucky pups (cyper) got 22.x each, im still glad its over and i do wish them luck.

better late than never they say - so now its only ravi iyengar thats left looking like a 2013 inaba wannabe.

just a heads up - its only been 36 hrs but swapping the 4Gb class 4 SD for an 8Gb class 10 seems to have stopped the daily beepings.

so yea, saving a dollar per rig on cheaper SD cards causes miners to suffer untold downtime - must be worth it.

kinda shady - 4 days notice...

any particular reason why this would be necessary?

shady ?!

why ?? other pools simply shut down the whole pool without notice Smiley remember, these are free services...

Again, i'm just closing the stratum's, not the page, you can withdraw your funds at anytime ... also the next 2 weeks' blocks, no worries.

You need a reason ?

On the Skein Pool there is 1 user mining, on the Sha Pool also 1 miner and on the groestl there are 3.

Since the Pool lives from donations, i simply cannot afford this three pools anymore, they take "space" on the servers for three full coin slots.. I could place other coins on this slots with much more miners or simply fully new coins.

If you donate the servercosts for the next month, I'll surely let the pools up, no problem Smiley

something wrong with the pool cash out facility?

I asked this when ocminer was online - strange that there is no reply from ocminer...

1438  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra REFUNDED— People Asking for refunds.. NEWS UPDATE!!! on: May 27, 2014, 07:13:37 PM
May 21st, 2014

Dear Ed,

We are getting in touch with you because you have previously requested a refund of your CoinTerra hardware order.

At the time of your refund request, it was likely communicated to you that we typically take between 2-4 weeks to process refunds. Unfortunately, we received a larger quantity of refund requests around the time that we started to ship our April batch of TerraMiners to customers, and as a result we are running behind on processing them, as they are refunded in the order in which the refund request is received.

Your refund request is still active, and we are currently anticipating between 8 and 12 weeks processing time for some refunds.  We will continue to work towards processing the refunds as quickly as possible.

However, we would also like to share with you two incredible limited-time offers that, should you choose, will quickly get you back on track with your bitcoin mining activities:

Option 1

Some customers requested their refund because of the hash power deficit of 400 GH/s in the 1.6 TH/s units. With manufacturing running at full capacity we are now able to ship the 1.6 TH/s TerraMiners immediately from stock, and so for a limited time, if you are a US resident customer* who purchased at the original price of $5,999 (plus shipping) we can ship you 2 x your original order of TerraMiner IV 1.6 TH/s Bitcoin miners with FREE ground shipping on the additional unit(s).  That’s 3.2 TH/s for the same price paid for 2 TH/s!

An order for 1 x TerraMiner IV at $5,999 entitles you to receive a second TerraMiner IV with FREE UPS Ground shipping. An order of 2 x TerraMiner IV’s with total price of $11,998 + shipping entitles you to receive 4 x TerraMiner IV 1.6 TH/s shipped immediately with FREE UPS Ground shipping for the additional 2 units.

Option 2

Some customers requested a refund because for whatever reason they were unable to run the TerraMiners in their location.  We have been working on a solution to this problem and you may have read the announcement on May 12th that we have now launched a new service offering cloud-based Bitcoin Mining Contracts through CoinTerra Mining at:

http://mining.cointerra.com

A cloud-based mining contract is a solution where you receive regular payouts at the contracted hash power for a fixed term, powered by our scalable TerraMiner farm in a 24 x 7 datacenter: No equipment, no electricity costs, and no hands-on system management required.

For a limited time we are offering the equivalent of your purchase price of each TerraMiner converted to the 2 TH/s mining contract which is currently priced at $7,999 - a savings of $2,000!  If you have 2 x TerraMiner IV’s then you will get 2 x 2 TH/s plans, etc.

To discuss your order, please reply to this email with your preferred phone number and time of day to reach you (please include your time zone) and we will get in touch. If you are only able to communicate via email (for example, if you are not comfortable speaking in English) then please reply to this email and we will get back in touch.

In the event that you these offers do not interest you, we completely understand and we will keep you on the refund list and we thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we work to stay ahead in the incredibly fast-moving Bitcoin ecosystem.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Team CoinTerra

customeroffers@cointerra.com

Dear Edger,

It does not matter what options CoinTerra offers you because you have legal rights under US Federal Consumer Protection Laws. The emailed reply from CoinTerra offering their limited options is a ploy (a ruse) to waive your legal rights. If you accept their offered options, you are waiving your legal rights. If do not immediately voice your objection to their offered options, your silence may constitute by default as waiving your legal rights to a refund to be paid in "a timely manner" (i.e., within 7 working days).

Please do not trust my layman advice above, but rather contact an inexpensive general business attorney via Craigslist located in Texas. These attorneys are a dime a dozen and after the free 20 minutes over the phone free consultation, they shouldn't charge you more than $100 to $200/hr to help in sending a legal letter to any company in which you are requesting an immediate refund. The legal letter shouldn't cost you more than a few hundred dollar max.

thanks.

i immediately upon reciept of the 'offer' replied with a non acceptance and 7 days to complete the refund 'demand'

but i am not a US citizen and this may work against me.

however once i get my teeth stuck in i rarely let go.

right now im stockpiling information and details.

i have contacted bitpay who have been as helpful as they can and we are now waiting to hear what cointerra will respond with.

Ravi - its just you and BFL now, KnC have righted their wrongs. it doesn't need to get messy.

Hi,

BTC refunds are usually processed within a week but it will take longer this time and therefor we can not give you a specific date of when your refund will be processed.
Our finance department is working on the refund queue at this moment, and hopefully we will have them all processed shortly.
