nice, i had no idea psu's had pfcc's

Among other things...

@ xstr8guy - its all he has in the world, we should be consoling him really but when the pitiful try to use our kindness against us we have little choice but to treat them as 'equals'

@s1gs3gv - strangely they failed to answer my questions & subsequently pulled the 'VB' & 'VB mini' from the site...

perhaps its temporary or perhaps some big fish just bought them all...

@ searing - omg, u got a 'sigh'tan on order?Huh who knew??

1342  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1640 per unit on: July 11, 2014, 02:53:48 AM
thx macgyver!!

u can upload screenshots/images on imgurl and copy the IMG codes in here to post.

im so glad u posted, i knew there was someone in the world who actually cared about these s2's

i have 4 and like yours they are ALL different, boards, cases, lids, even down to the 'buzzers' different tones/volumes...

the only constant is the shit psu and the high error rate..

1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 10, 2014, 02:49:14 AM
This thread has turned into dog shit the same as the company.
Yeah, Avenger remains an absolutely self-involved BS artist who near as I can tell must not have an actual job for the time he spends trolling here. Can't say I've been unhappy to see other poeple calling him out on being a useless hole.

I received my Batch 0 in late June. for those keeping track I had a very high (highest I've seen posted) CA batch order number but I paid earlier than a lot of other order numbers I've seen so it definitely seems to be order of payment for shipping.  I'm running it on 3 EVGA 850 G2's.  I was able to dial all the clocks to 500Mhz from 475Mhz with no voltage changes, though I'm sure I'd have more stable cores if I tweaked voltages.  It's just too tedious to bother with for what is most likely statistical noise in terms of performance.  The 850 G2's are stable and haven't had any difficulties.  The cables get a bit warm but nothing to get excited about. I suspect that using the first plug on the dual-plug VGA cables helps with this, and they seem to have done a good job crimping the connectors.  If anything, Neptune has revealed which power supply vendors consistently crime their connectors properly. My 12 hour average on Eligius is slightly over 3.5Th/s, so I feel fine about getting more than I paid for in terms of performance.

It'll never ROI in BTC or USD but whatever, it's kind fun to run and in the next couple weeks I'll have it hosted where I don't pay for power... assuming I don't eBay the thing.  I can't blame KNC for my gamble or for the lack of clairvoyance in how much chicom stuff would ship.

I've tried the RC6 and RC9 firmware without seeing dramatic differences. I did notice that after the firmware update it is important to reset the machine to factory defaults through the web interface in order for it to correctly unass its voltage and clock settings.  It would be nice if the advanced page showed the number of active cores associated with each VRM and clock setting so you could see the impact of tweaks. One of the banner photos on the KNC website shows RC-11, but that isn't in their public github yet.

I'd prefer to have BFGminer on it and think it should've shipped with longer serial cables.

I'm somewhat tempted to try to swap my free second Neptune for a Titan just because it would be something slightly different.

Thx Alex.

See you remain a fence-sitting, ball-licking sort of half man.

Cant blame you though.

Make the best you can with what you have is sound advice.

Seeing as how 'no-one knows', how about a few behind closed doors anecdotes from 'HQ'..?

or are you still 'bound & gagged' despite being 'owed grands'

?
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 10, 2014, 01:40:16 AM
Go back and re-sharpen that pencil....    I find this hard to believe...   You refunded on the opening day of Neptune preorder and made coin?
The price never went that high at any time during the Neptune pre-order "refund era",
Neptunes went up for preorder on December 2nd, and the price was indeed "peaking" around the 1150 price you quote...
It then went down from that day(was actually that price for only a brief moment that day), and it NEVER returned....   so  how could you have possibly refunded at 1150 and still make coin?  Impossible.  You would have had to have refunded at a LOWER price to make coin on that deal.
It's obvious you came here to join the trolling bandwagon with a fistfull of Bullshit.
If you're gonna make shit up, at least get the numbers right.

I pre-ordered my Neptune on November 26th.

Take your own advice and re-sharpen your pencil.  Start with checking facts before subjecting us to yet another brain-fart here on the forum.

being retarded in more ways than one is hardly the same as being gullible.

and then 'FREAAKing out' at other peoples comprehension skills while you yourself remain willfully ignorant and aggressively retarded is sadly hilarious.

@Tolip - i dont think im part of any pity party (other than its a pity KnC are cunts), im actually glad i refunded when i did and wish id done it sooner!

YOU, ConMan & probably ElasticBand are the ONLY guys i know of that should have stuck with their orders.

@ ArcticFox 'not caring' that you lost value, thats pretty disingenuous for someone smart enough to be here in the first place. (dont.be.a.phoenix!)

but each to his own, i understand where you are coming from but KNOW there were better options for you that you chose to 'not care about'

1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 08, 2014, 08:00:49 AM
think about this -

even if they manage to produce 'something' does anyone honestly believe these guys will ship them out without 'testing' them for another 4-5 moths knowing full well that nothing will be done about it?

they are scammers, even if they actually produce something other other than lies and empty promises, they will still scam the arsehole out of any & every invesduh they have by the ball sack.

1347  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LIGHTNINGASIC LA100M,100MHS SCRYPT Miner, USD1999; LA1THS, USD1750.shipped out! on: July 06, 2014, 03:22:07 PM
so the problems are lies and the people suffering problems are liars?

and the usually shady premining manufacturers are doing everything they can to help these liars?

im surprised my questions to the customer were even acknowledged by 'LA', usually my posts are removed immediately.

either way, i cant justify risking money on more dusty, faulty goods especially with the attitude i have witnessed here.

or let me guess on skype you dont abuse your unhappy customers? only here??

1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 04, 2014, 06:37:38 AM
Not true... Many of us mined around 50 coin per Jupiter... just so you know....

And it cost, what, 60 coins?
... and Yifu Guo was no angel. There were a lucky few who got Avalons early, but make no mistake,
Avalon is just as guilty(or more) when it comes to orders which were delivered late.

Most of batch-1 that was a big winner. Batch-2 was a toss up. Everything after that was a disaster.

Jupiturds cost around 78!! meaning the ONLY way you could be happy with a 50 coin return is if....they were bought with STOLEN coins/coins bought with STOLEN bank details!!  (or you are retarded...)

Agree about Avalon Batch 1 - gutted i missed that by fear, uncertainty & doubt.

Batch 2 was pretty shit though all things considered - april delivery turned into mid august shipping etc...

I paid with PayPal.... Idiot; at a time I had a single coin I mined with GPU's.
and BTW, worked very hard to be able to get a few Saturns. I sold My fucking bad ass 2004 Subaru Outback, sold my entire comic book collection, and  several hundred orchids along with sacrificing "Good meals" for Top Ramen to be able to mine you Jackass. I endured every hardship there has been to deal with on those machines as well. They were shipped to the wrong place, had the wrong pool and password information programmed in, had bad URL's programmed into it, and had the "Dead Die problem to deal with, practically pioneering the wifi networking situation, discovering heat woke them up... lightning strikes (literally) and got slammed by both GOX and the CTSminer scam, and gave out about 5 grand in total reward money
You know what? I still turned a profit, so suck my chocolate salted balls and get a life.
I'd do it all again. I'm a die-hard tech junky addict that loves to tear things apart and make them better, but you wouldn't know about such things, because you are too busy having your head up your ass.
Besides, June 3rd, 2013, when ordering began, the price was 115 dollars, which makes a Jupiter 60 coin, not 78 again, idiocy
Your antics are futile.

damn phoenix...don't hold back...tell us how you really feel Smiley wow to still claim profit after all that is a very nice...now had you paid in btc, you'd be screw hehe...wish i had the money to pay in usd at the time and i'd be sitting pretty right now too...oh well what can ya do...gratz on the profit

Thieves, liars & scammers will ALWAYS find some obscure garbage to 'prove' themselves 'right' until they cant deny facts anymore, then they 'turn' nasty.

perhaps all that 'top' ramen has rotted your insignificant cranial matter...?

either way you remain a liar & a scammer

keep trying tho, eventually everyone who knows the truth will either die or get bored & leave you to it, then you can set your next scam/s in motion...

'Ow! My Orchids'...

1349  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1745 per unit on: July 03, 2014, 12:06:52 AM
STILL suffering an overheating rig!

swapped IO board with functioning rig to no avail...

anyone have any ideas?

A schematic would be nice... particularly interested in heat/fan sensors location

Hate to be overly simplistic here but just covering all the bases. The fans are blowing in the correct directions right?

sometimes overly simplistic is all it takes to notice something basic..

like this one time that bitmain sent me a dead psu with the jumper in the wrong position...

but alas, no all fans are pointed in the right direction.

one of them does appear to have a bit of a dent in the grill which i might have missed but no.. the fans  APPEAR to be fine, its just whatever tells them to shut down is kicking in too early.

its ok if they stay below 60C but in the middle of the day we've already seen 72-74C.

Bitmain is sending a replacement 'power board' (aka back plane) today..

glad i didnt snip the blue wires...
1350  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1760 per unit on: July 02, 2014, 07:43:55 AM
these last few rigs seem to be the dregs of the old farm...

I wouldn't mind if it was functioning as 'expected' but this is my 4th lemon in a row.

My last 2 detailed emails have either been ignored or replied to without being read/understood.

i explain clearly that swapping the IO board did nothing and it seems to be a heat sensor issue.

the reply was 'return the faulty hashing board'

i appreciate they must be busy in BMHQ but a just delivered, overheating rig which can presumably be diagnosed pretty easily should take some kind of priority.

if i hadnt used the advise of someone earlier and aimed a huge fan in there i am 100% certain something would have melted/fried by now!

E2A - after only 46 hours & innumerable emails, Bitmain has agreed to send out a replacement power board (back plane) tomorrow
1351  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. [NSFW] on: July 01, 2014, 04:43:31 PM
Many asian girl have big boobs but idont feel its real almost of them do surgeon plastic maybe

boobs, nose, cheeks, chin, teeth, eyelids, lips, ears... the lot until they are either 'stunning' or naturally soso on the border of grim
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 01, 2014, 10:07:15 AM
yes, if you agree or agree by not disagreeing (i forget the actual term) they can use that against you legally.

'assumed consent' maybe?

kinda off-topic but this is why the TV licence vermin can only come up to your door until you tell them they cant - and then they legally can NOT.

you might be surprised how many people live in fear of the TV license people, unaware that a simple 'you are trespassing/not welcome' is enough to legally force them to comply.

1353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1775 per unit on: July 01, 2014, 09:40:15 AM
i cant actually access miner config / miner status without pulling th ether cable and connecting straight to the laptop.

i CAN access network & system without issue but they reveal little info.

Repeated requests for tech support have gleaned nothing.

the 67C is showing on the LED display & in PuTTy, but i cant tell much more.

when i power cycle it sits around 60-61 for a while but the fans continue to drop, rev up, drop, rev up until it gets up to 66-67C

on opening i found 1 blade not hashing so i pulled it, swapped with another to check if it was the board or the connector and when fired up all 10 were hashing.

which leads me to thinking its the (temp sensor? on the) powerboard, not the fans themselves.

E2A - Fk me, shes at 72C now!!
1354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The last Batch of AntMiner S2 1TH/s Miner, Now $1775 per unit on: July 01, 2014, 08:05:31 AM
Had a nice surprise with my S2 delivery today.  They added a plate across the top of the blades to keep them all in place during shipping.  It was plug n' play.  No adjustments needed.
So they fixed it just in time for obsolescence.

Yup they did that in the last batch

not in my last batch...

also missing are the useful tongues that kept the lid sides tucked in nice & snug... need to use the mounting 'ears' and 2 side screws now... kinda lame - especially as this is the rig thats running hot (66C) and wierding me out with the up n down fans for the past few hrs.

67C now, im getting close to snipping the blue wire/s and leaving them at 100%, but there are 4 of them so which ones would make more sense - the inlets, the outlets or all 4?

1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 01, 2014, 05:03:09 AM
edgar: this thread is not the time and the place....

and you cant go around accusing people of being thieves and liars, i dont work for btc-e im simply a chat mod.i never stole a cent from anybody there, and i haven`t lied

and i actually cant afford to loose it,that money is all i got. That money was from the UTC IPO, and those asics have to fund developements, and my company.it was a long term desicion. However IF i loose it, i did not endanger my rent, food or family matters such as christmas

when your logic fails you resort to name calling and that is a shame. This is not how gentlemen talk.

so again, wishing that i loose my money shows very little character and a disproportional anger for a chat ban that transpired 9 months ago,a ban that you deserved because you broke the rules stated under terms (rules that i did not make).

But if you want to live your life hating the big and mean world, thats your choice....

Life is alot nicer when you dont think of people as your enemys, you also need to know that your words are hurtfull, and that im a human being just like you.Imagine getting horrible PM`s like you used to send frequently.people who are incapable of admitting they broke the rules so they decide to lash out in a personal way.The lowest form of communication is personal attack.

and i remind you again that this is a thread about alpha technology, not a platform for your misguided frustration.

'dont blame others'

'accept responsibility for your own actions'

'dont invest more than you can afford to lose'

dont be a hypocrite & a liar & dont twist facts into garbage to suit your ignorance.

my complaint was you banned me when i was asking for support, NOT when i RETALIATED to your little gang of internet thugs wrt a PREVIOUS NON RELATED issue (trolling & the allowance of mod 'friends' to troll/swear/abuse at will)

but i agree, not the time nor the place.

deep down i DO hope you get your money back (next january) but now you know how it feels to have your money & life fucked with by dishonesty & greed.

karmas a bitch aint it...

as for LTC, shes breaking my balls!!

1356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: June 30, 2014, 04:01:31 PM
i can not loose 10k, if they cant deliver my asic then refund the total in current btc value.i sacrificed starting a company for this and my money is frozen in this asic for half a year...

IF you are the same bumface who banned me a hundred times on BTC-e when your overlords were trying to scam me out of 50,000USD then i can only applaud Alpha for rewarding you in kind.

As you will probably be unaware, it took me a few months and a christmas with 3 kids and NO money until i finally got my 50K back.

As you will also probably be unaware, i got my refund from Alpha Tech back in January when it was OBVIOUS they were lying , scamming, pathetic little children....

Good LUCK to EVERYONE except YOU & Alpha-Tech!!

If you are the same edgar who said this and got banned:

"davidor, u get wood? u cry? u offer ur mouth as a cum depositry?"

http://trollboxarchive.com/quote/17817754

You are actually surprised this will get you banned?

and now you come whining on a totally unrelated forum 9 months later......and as i remember it, it was my assistance that got your money released, and now you wish i loose my money, after you just disclosed the hardship you got from not having money...

You did not learn anything in 9 months.
And there is also the rule of only investing what you can afford to loose,so why you would have a 100% of your money on an exchange and dont have money for christmas is  your own fault....

my advice to you is take responsibility for your own actions, dont blame others, and dont hold grudges.

You will live a much happyer life this way.

nice to see you still twist irrelevant crap to suit your agenda - NO, i was refetring to the posts where i begged you and your cohorts to release my coins around november - december..

but i suppose ignoring that and pointing out some stupid RETALIATORY posts MONTHS prior to the attempted theft makes you feel immune from any responsibility...

and NO, you did not help me retrieve funds at all - my continued and escalating 72 point RED FONT attacks on all BTC-e sites eventually led to the coins being magically available after almost 3 months being locked.

my advice to you is not be a worthless douche, dont try and confuse honest people with the ilk & scum that you are so proud to surround yourself with & try reading the posts of people who were here and HELPING OTHERS before you threw your money at a family of scammers.

i doubt you will be any happier as the greedy & repugnant are rarely happy - even when theyre abusing their positions of limited power they still hate themselves deep down.

seems you didnt learn much either over the past months but i can say i learnt not to leave my money lying around thieves like you and your crew - thanks for your non-role in that life lesson.

as for your pathetic 'invest what you can afford to lose' so you CAN actually afford to lose that ten grand? or are you still a confused and finnicky liar who will say anything to try and justify your continual ignorance and preference for blaming victims.

So glad its actually you!

shame about your ten grand, but at least you can afford to lose it.

Avenger, good to see you are still trolling this thread. I know you guaranteed many times that nobody would get a neptune before the end of Q2, but here we are again and KNC is shipping.

Get a life, move on from this thread.

Avenger's posts are thoughtful, informative, well-constructed and occasionally quite humorous. His graphics are second-to-none. I have used this forum extensively for KNC hardware issues, over-clocking advice and purchasing/refunding advice, I even learned about the 4 vs 8 VRM screwing I got for being one of the first to purchase from KNCminer and I have found Avenger's posts to be very useful.  We need to hear all sides of the discussion; even yours RickJames.

Aww, how sweet.... and how "thoughtful, informative, well-constructed" were his comments when he told everyone that KNC filed for bankruptcy?

HaHa! Simpleton!!

i used to despise you for being retarded and spreading retardation among the rest of us.

i now feel somewhat sorry for you, you are clearly sick in the head, and no-one who is supposed to love you has done anything about it, except perhaps leave you to your own delusions...

once again you have shown yourself to be even more retarded than a multi-storey hospital for the mentally impaired.

as for your lack of appreciation wrt the 'stolen' coins, i KNOW you were involved along with your 'brother' and that goes a long way to explain your lack of consideration to the effort employed in retrieving them, in fact your brother merely 'returned' them to you to prevent further facts being uncovered.

hence your attitude towards those who solved 99.9% of the mystery (deception)

perpetually-piti-fool!

you think we forget because you hang around spouting bollocks & ignoring a multitude of facts??

searing thinks we do...

I stand corrected, mine was also picked up and scheduled fo' Monday delivery.

UPS as well so the import fees wont be the extortionate ones that DHL feel justified in charging.

touch wood it arrives in one piece not 13.

BTW - 2 of my 3 S2's show the same 'invalid nonce - HW errors', my guess is they could run better somehow possibly with better firmware &/or better PSU's though this has been discredited by a few who've tried 1200w PSUs.

i think ambient heat plays a significant role wrt PSU stability and definitely actual miner stability.

best of luck to all!
It may be running 9 cards pulling out the hottest one .  is a better choice then using a 1200 watt psu

agreed!

the few occasions ive tried 9 cards/blades they have performed MUCH better than with ten. but i still run all at once, not sure why now i think about it... mental aversion to seeing unused boards perhaps?
