1682  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Kncminner Jupiter, with 0GH/s after installing 0.99 firmware on: November 28, 2013, 05:54:25 AM
good luck getting anything from hno - in #kncminer

i saw he posted the only option for 0die issues is to RMA

BUT RMA is not offered for SINGLE 0die issues....

that was 7 hrs after help request was made - and NON KnC people took their time to help.

but that may not be the usual state of affairs...

the NON KnC cats are priceless!!

bullshit, fake & endorsed by a charlatan...

Thx Ben. did u notice any peculiarity to make u delete, or just following advice ?
1686  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: November 27, 2013, 09:11:23 AM
has everyone deleted either lan or wifi connection?

i see mine are both running at the same time

absolutely stinks of bitsyncon!!

1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 04:08:22 PM
now to make the day perfect, knc should announce a sort of fidelity program for the early adopters and just after that release the tuning suite Tongue

tuning suite first sil vous plait

if the 4 chip 650Gh nov jups need 1200w

what will a 20nm '6 chip' neptune need & potentially hash at?

exciting!! and scary!!

1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 03:54:17 PM
reading between the lines it was obvious after all............ (toned down ed)

bless u biffa. i KNOW when im being a dick, and its usually intentional...

i agree phoenix HAS made some great contributions, but hes also made some absolutely shit ones and seems to not know the difference nor appreciate constructive criticism.

anyway, now hes given it a rest the thread can continue to provide much needed & appreciated support.

thx again and ill try & tone it down a touch.

i considered removing the blue extensions but so far im leaving it at 529Gh - i'll maybe have another fiddle when he Nov shipment arrives.

Dont wanna make it worse until i have some backup hashing power Wink
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 06:15:36 AM
Sorry this is a little late but how many bad cores do you need before KNC will allow an RMA?

Was your ASIC completely dead before KNC would give you an RMA?

I have one ASIC with probably 15 bad cores which slows my hashrate...

Or just live with it?

>>>As soon as the first report good numbers I'll go for it.
>>>Currently running stable on 3.8.2 with my 5/192 bad cores board, so I don't want to mess with it now.

another victim whos support for KNC seems to be left to 'helpers' to deal with.

in answer to your question i honestly dont know.

i too am afraid to keep messing with it as the GH/s rate continues to diminish no matter what hacky type fixes are offered by CUSTOMERS or fw 'up'grades offered few & far between by the engineering team.

my advice which im following myself is to wait wait wait & wait until the so called tuning suite arrives.

until we have exhausted all options i wouldnt want to sacrifice 100Gh for a week or so for the sake of maybe getting the rest - it seems stupid to have to.

but then im one of those assclowns that doesnt bathe in the bullshit of 'heroes' or suckle at the teet of assumed greatness.

so you may do well to wait for the sellotape guy or the bulldog clip guy or the heatsink guy or the weawwy siwwy weboot guy.

they know what time it is
1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 06:02:27 AM
how is that a heads up?

it was mentioned a day or two ago...

As well as ignoring questions & polite greetings on #kncminer, marcus is going to be watching a late assembly line for a week.

Quickly guys, wait another week!

Hope 0.99 is working out great for everyone etc...  Tuning suite is now only 'days' away from maybe recovering the Gh that previous fw 'upgrades' have managed to diminish.

you're an assclown

i may well be, but id rather be called an 'assclown' than be the kind of person that repeats stupid words/insults they read elsewhere in expectation of imaginary congratulations.

is this more 'help'? i notice you ignored my question like a true genius would... HOW IS OLD POINTLESS 'NEWS' A HEADS UP??

at least phoenix will like you more now.

maybe you can back each other up wrt not really knowing what you're talking about but expecting ppl to just accept it as 'help'

im good either way, shame the same cant be said for my 'dead' vrm/stunted GH

Or is it a ghost? or a bug? or something else that engineers just cant quite put their finger on yet.

tuning suite - 'we' cant fix it with 10 fw upgrades so you can do it yourselves!!

Clowns Ass!!

"Give it a rattle/twist/kick - it worked for me!"

though this is in no way able of effecting the performance of the VRMs, right?
Not directly, but by disabling as many cores reliably as you "need" to have disabled, the power delivery will need to fluctuate far less so... who knows?

not bitcoinorama or phoenix69 for sure!!

i still want to know what the heads up was in reference to and even more so why it was not wiser to explain clearly without leaving it open to conjecture etc...

wrt the cores, bertmod shows all mine as ok its just that 1 VRM with low current that seems to be 'robbing' me of 30-50Gh
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 25, 2013, 04:46:51 AM
Heads-up for tomo BTW - incoming...

November delivery news???  Smiley
That was the news....!

NOPE!

& neither was it in regards to the 'tuning suite'

if you wish to continue your half assed, half-reading and half-helping, i will continue to ask why...

i dont eat cornflakes, i grew out of that during childhood. (around the time i grew out of referring to myself in the 3rd & giving myself nicknames)

whos post did bitcoinorama help exactly??

the half dozen posters and more incoming who failed to 'read between the lines'  (BTW - 'heads-up tomorrow - incoming' is ONE line)

or just you, who again jumped to a wrong conclusion and added MORE confusion to the pile of half facts and guesstimates..?

questions end in question marks, statements do not.

keep on helping.. you're doing swell

If the community can fund the review, I will head to Frankfurt.

So far, the claims are not way off.  Not too cheap and Not too expensive.  Right about the price to recover the production & R&D cost from the 1st batch.  Only thing that bothers me a bit is, all of the sudden the production announcement, but the 1st batch of the entry level machines are all sold out. (This could be due to the investors wanted all the 1st batch unit to recover the VC money.)

Registrations, contact info, so far it looks legit from the public view!  I'm guessing the production may be taking place in China somewhere or low cost labor country in the region.

Anyone Up for the Donation?  I rather go to the factory where the production is taking place if the corporate office is in another country.  I would love to travel to both locations but if the production is real & additional funding is available, then use that to go visit the office.

Here is for the Extreme Myth Buster Trip Funds:

I promises, no more so called cheezy 1 minute video.   Grin Grin Grin Grin

stfu and gtfo and go eat some sushi MOAR BULLSHIT.. sock puppet's sock puppet

disgusted with their conduct - filthy mining rigs arriving 5 months late and not a word of compensation.

support tickets ignored, sarcastic forum posts & the classic 'im the victim' behaviour!!

Not to mention...

OW! My Chi!!

I've renamed the experimental one. Here is an updated one with more tweaks to the tuning (does not delay before disabling):
http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/kncminer/cgminer-tune
(Be patient before deciding what its performance is like since it takes many minutes to stabilise)
Updated that binary again. It delays re-enabling them progressively more every time they're disabled. The delay between disables is back and there is now a message saying that the cores are being enabled and have finished enabling at startup. It takes ~20 seconds on my saturn!
Followup. This binary has had the most consistent (and highest) hashrates and lowest hardware errors for my Saturn. The average hashrate is ever so slightly creeping up even after 24 hours. The difference is not profound mind you...

Heads-up for tomo BTW - incoming...

is this kind of post considered useful?

why not be a tad less 'cryptic' and you(r inbox) might not get abused so much...

Also want to add, my ambient temps are 30C - 86F.

so statements regarding VRMs needing heating and/or not liking cooling is NOT a fact covering ALL rigs/VRMs and even when they are hot(ter) they dont ALL fall back into line....

im sure ive mentioned this...

As for 'wiggling' the heatsink aka 'cooling tower' - i think ill give that a miss.

i personally dont want to hear 'warranty' is void due to negligence/abuse/possibly insane advice (though it might just work)
