- Nothing new. For them is just business and privacy identity

outstanding that you got a reply from them at all, let alone so quickly.

1103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC-e - £1500 Stolen on: December 08, 2014, 12:01:41 PM
Any official response from the BTC-e team op?

1104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: December 07, 2014, 07:46:38 AM
bitmain is much more trust worthy than any of these other companies

perhaps in your limited experience.

i have bought from most of them, and bitmain is a distant 3rd (at best)

lying, extorting, ignoring, confusing, disorienting, passing your problems off onto uninformed wannabe uniformed bullies, do not make you trustworthy.

at all.

they merely lump you in with every other manufacturer out there... bar one!

1105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: December 05, 2014, 03:37:35 PM

Buy another one and contact sales@ before. We'll ship a t-shirt.

Guy

 Cry

Don't host them in Thailand...

I won't.

But why?

Too hot i guess! Wink

except when it was on the 2.3.46 fw...when it was at 42C and running at 4.6-4.7TH/s

its now less than 36C etc....zzzzz

1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 05, 2014, 08:26:57 AM

So, KnC, which is it?

Both!

Knowingly dishonest AND incompetent, in anything other than being knowingly dishonest

Hello - Is 2.5.12 a stable version?
did you encounter any issues upgrading from 2.4.x to it on SP3x?

thx

I´m asking the same

since upgrading from 2.3.46 to 2.5.12 my sp30 is unable to tolerate the previously acceptable ambient temps - even though its now december and considerably cooler!

i repeatedly requested a FW downgrade but after days of asking i simply lowered max watts and now get 4.1 instead of 4.5-4.6

if i push any higher i get thermal instability until sunset

YMMV

I say someone goes to their house's and toilet paper the trees and leave flaming dog poop on their doorstep. Can no one track one of these slimy bastards down? Isn't the dad still on the radar and was fully involved in the early stages. Nothing has shipped since he left, nothing has changed, don't see how he can say much about not knowing anything. Complain to the bureau that issues professional licences for accountants in the U.K. and inform them of the totality of the fraud involved. They will have serious trouble keeping their accounting licences if this is done properly.

You could track their houses down fairly easily, they have many paper trails due to business and financial records. The issue is, seems like nobody near them is willing to do anything.

Pay for my trip and housing and I'll go investigate for you guys, haha.

i said the same thing but got no interest.

ill be around there in a few weeks so i might have a nose about... not that i really care as i got my refund 11 months ago

like a boss
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ʉ Umbrella | Insured Cryptocurrencies | BITTREX | Litecoin Insurance on: December 03, 2014, 02:46:07 AM
Well i admit that i didn't expect the price to drop so low.
But if i am not mistaken according to the developer the cryptocurrency deposit insurance corporation hasn't formed yet.

I did.

but at least the few newb posters are overly amazed...
1112  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: December 01, 2014, 10:28:12 AM
Get many scams on here?

only if you accept buys from randoms with no/fake ID & stolen bank details.

the money was in my account, but the bank 'stole' it back

bank, police & web owners said, too bad be more careful - fuckers!

other than that its pretty solid.

1113  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 30, 2014, 03:13:35 PM
ugh. sp20 offline again!!

and now myminer.io displays sp30 & sp20 are on the same IP, when they 100% are NOT.

talk about babysitting!

very sad.

and it seems some of us are going to have to start hunting down rogue pool ops if we are to have any chance at recovering our 'stolen' coins
1116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 28, 2014, 07:46:41 AM
Grrr.. I really want to pull the trigger on an SP31, but it doesn't make sense to me. For $1600 I could have 2x S4, running at 4.4TH overclocked. Or even better 3x for $2400 @ 6.6TH/s. Am I missing something besides the obvious increase in hardware quality, density, and customer support of SP over bitmain?  Huh

FUCK bitmain!

if you want shitty, thrown together hardware with the cheapest, overpriced components on the planet  - Bitmains got plenty - but don't be fooled by empty promises and costly RMA procedures which i can almost guarantee you will need.

if you want quality hardware with 'getting there' support - choose SPT without a doubt

my main gripe with SPT being fw discrepancies and a seemingly overworked support team of 1 (now 3)

just my humble opinion based on my own experiences - others opinions may vary

1117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 28, 2014, 02:22:04 AM
pfff, my sp30 runs at 4.1 on 230V since 2.5.12 upgrade & having to underclock it just to stop it from thermal freaking.

compared with 4.7 at higher temps on prior FW

but if you'd appreciate an opinion id say go with 'now' over later.
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: November 28, 2014, 02:04:06 AM
The smaller ones are ridiculous, but oh so 'cute' - id buy plenty if they were anywhere near spot price

but even the 100g is 75usd PLUS shipping where 3.2 troy oz of silver is currently 51 usd.

anyone buying will ALSO be required to pay these extra tax/fees on top.

i dont consider myself tight or stingy but why so much mark up...?

Especially with the smaller weights?

in my experience the coins are the worst for investment purposes, but the best for gifting.

and most people who receive gold coins (again IME) will sell them at a price significantly lower than spot.

i saw a south park episode that kind of covered this.. 'Cash for Gold' S16E02

fools buy overpriced gold/jewels (from QVC..)

gift/leave in will to younger fools

young fools sell at scrap price

'scrap' gets remoulded and resold to new fools at overpriced rates

forever..

NOT THAT I AM CALLING ANYONE A FOOL, I just wish to understand - and maybe make a purchase without feeling 'pillaged'

1119  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 28, 2014, 01:48:15 AM
I was specifically referring to barabara, who in the emails where i asked for a discount neglected to mention any sale and in fact advised me to buy asap...

would it not THEN have been logical to mention there is a sale starting imminently...?

OK, so will you (SPT) honor the 100USD discount seeing as my order is still    'pending & unfulfilled'   $940.00   ?

if you bought via my link i'm willing to put $100 of my own earned commission to ensure you get that discount Ed.

 Smiley

go on, make me feel awful!

i really should have used your link and now regret not taking a bit of time to discuss it with you all.

brack friday bunduru - indeed

meh. and here's me with every faith in you. /s
to be totally transparent now: I don't promote spondoolies because i want to get rich from folks orders.
I'm not a 'paid shill'
I do it because i truly believe in the company and their ethos.
I don't get paid cash with my referral earnings, i get a small commission which goes towards Sp-Tech products, which I mine with myself and do not sell on.
My BTC is held in cold wallets and put safely away for my children's futures - apart from a small amount each month that I use to rent other mining rigs p2p from other miners to sustain the pool on which I mine (mmpool.org).
Having been in contact with SP-Tech from the very beginning, I will continue to uphold their integrity that they are committed to the decentralisation of the bitcoin network and the promotion of smaller miners like myself.
I'm not a super-genius tech-savvy electronics guru... I like to be able to switch things on, and they work, when they don't work, I come looking for you lot to help me.
...and i'm an insomniac  Embarrassed that's why I have so much time on my hands to do this sort of thing.
I want to make sure everyone knows about bitcoin and everyone benefits from it.

so... on this occasion only, i'll take the $100 hit from my referral earnings so that you can have that discount Ed. If Gadi or Guy can confirm this is OK, then i'm sure we can make sure you are content. As long as you recognise you are taking that $100 from my kids inheritance  Tongue

respect.

i think we crossed wires there. i genuinely regret not discussing the matter with the forum. (i get much more info here than from manufacturers)

NO sarc/snark intention AT ALL.

i will not accept a penny of yours, nor your kids' inheritance as it is not you nor their 'oversight' that caused this consternation.

and i actually find the suggestion somewhat 'tongue in cheek' vulgar.

However.. id be vocally appreciative to receive a 100 usd rebate (in good faith) from SPT...

HENCE - my 'why would barbara NOT have mentioned it in the same email i requested (& received) a discount for miner downtime' question?

it seems kind of peculiar- does it not?

Though to be quite frank, i wonder if that bank transfer has even gone through yet.

1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: November 28, 2014, 01:24:09 AM
As i disclosed in JANUARY, when i made a fuss to get my refund when it became pretty OBVIOUS that this was a 'longcon' my email inbox was assaulted over 2 days with dozens of abusive, threatening and also begging 'why are you do this to us' email SPAM.

i would not put it past these vermin to be as abusive and crooked as retro has stated.

if i can find the post i made , i'll link it....

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=314402.msg4439963#msg4439963

and...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=314402.msg4445849#msg4445849

and it may is also be evident that some forum members also became abusive around the same time, as that was their BIG CASH GRAB PERIOD... and must have felt a need to be as defensive as possible.

either way, alpha tech and their supporters are immature, terrorisers of our community.

i will pray to all the gods and demons that these rodents suffer in this lifetime for all their sins and those of there forefathers.

Insha' Allah!

Allahu Akbar!!
