i just had a check on my sp30 gui and it thinks its Jan 2 2000

and none of the graphs are running.

Thx guys, one cable end is fried, other 3 are slightly scorched.
...
Edgar, what PSU and cables did you use ?
Can you ship them for inspection ?

Cooler master V850 that was running a november jupiter at 1150 for 12 months without hiccup.

i can indeed send the damaged cable if you require it but i am confident it was an ever-so-slightly loose connection that has  overheated after a month or so of use and a couple of power surges that knocked out various rigs at various times.

i replaced the cable after scraping out the debris and am back at 1430-1510GH/s @ 940w

the  sockets of all 4 pcie slots on the sp20e look toasted but just that one is very bad

dont really wanna RMA as i lost a fair few days of mining while i was away and now there's that spike in diff.

Thx guys, one cable end is fried, other 3 are slightly scorched.

shes running slightly better with offending cable removed, but the melted shroud is stuck inside the sp20 connector so i cant plug in another cable...

will have a proper fiddle later - 0230 here.

confusing as psu was pulling <900w while previously running MUCH higher watts without issue. (>1150w)

i'll upload pic in a minute.  meh. you all know what scorched connectors look like

Is there a distributor here in the states?  While the price with coupons is decent, the shipping makes it a no sale. YMMV, but the shipping doesn't work for me on the S3+, C1 or the S4.

If Tech support is needed (not likely) they will actually help you...try getting support from bitmain -- they make it such a pain that you want to give up.

You mean like the 100s of Bitmain customers who get help every day? Ps, why was there so many blank lines after the end of your post?

dogie making stuff up again...

bitmain janet i welcome your arrival...

Thank you for your reconsideration of the matter.

Unfortunately you seem to have overlooked the three (3) blades that were also part of the same issue. Valued by BITMAIN  China at 100USD each.

Also, if we had closed the matter in June as agreed, then the June BTC value would indeed be acceptable.

Instead you opted to cause us all much frustration & financial burden up until now, where the BTC value is less than half of what it was when you could/should have ended the matter.

As such i implore you to re-calculate the full refund value of 260 + 230 + 100 + 100 + 100 = 790 USD in todays BTC price.

This will be acceptable & i will agree that the matter is closed. I will also post my appreciation on each thread to remove the aforementioned tarnish.

I am regretful it has taken so long and so many posts to finally come close to a reconciliation, but i welcome the opportunity.

Sincerely,

Edgar

if bitmainwarranty 'IS' bitmain, why would 'bitmainwarranty' advise me to contact bitmain??

dogie seems to 'know' precisely nothing.

i have now been contacted by 'bitmain_janet' with an offer of compensation, 6 months late but still appreciated.

Thank you for your reconsideration of the matter.

Please keep in mind people, this is Bitmain's product discussion thread. While excessive harassing of members isn't acceptable under any circumstance, it is especially not acceptable in someone else's thread. I'm sure Dogie doesn't mind talking to reasonable people about whatever issues people are having with him, but please do not do it here. Don't clutter the thread making information harder to access for those that want it.

SaltySpitoon,

Firstly, thank you for your input.

However, if I am to be accused of something I have not done on a Bitmain thread, by someone who is paid by Bitmain - I believe I am, at the very least, entitled to an apology. Is that so unreasonable? I think not. I'm sure that you have read the circumstances of my request in this thread - if it were to happen to yourself, would you not want an apology? As genuine & appreciated as BitmainWarranty's & Yoshi's apology was, it's not the same, and until dogie realises the errors of his ways, the situation will continue & indeed probably get worse - weather it is with me or any of the other forum members he's seen fit to abuse or insult on Bitmain threads. It has gone too far already - & needs to be nipped at the bud.

Sorry, but my request still stands.

Exactly!

When the defenders of the dastardly run their mouths, they are indeed condoning his abhorrent behaviour.

Notice how they are happy to change & avoid the subject when its proven beyond a doubt that he/they are in the wrong.

Shilling at its finest - and lamest.

You are using a broad net with your accusation. Perhaps you should focus your energy towards getting your grievances remedied.

Sadly at some point there are people in this world that are not worth spending time and energy on. As you can see, many here have meet these people and are done wasting our lives with them. The only solution is to make others aware of this problem. We are done with condescending and terse replies from people like Dogie and others.

i couldnt have put it any better myself.

6 months of being fkd around over a grand is more than enough time to waste .

i know now that bitmain will lie, twist, promise & deny any and all he chooses to, to save a few pennies.

hes a typical stingy, crooked penny-pinching liar.

and the turds he employs are either fully aware of this and dont care or are ignorant and willfully so.

all that is left to do is to warn others as often as i feel like doing so.

anything less than actual compensation is a waste of my time & energy as im not getting paid to annoy/lie/confuse people.

not that i would lower myself into such a role.

dogie & his wannabe gang of timewatster shillettes deserve all they have brought upon themselves and more.

when you are owed money that is nothing to million dollar bitmain, im sure you would use any and every opportunity to warn other potential victims of the high likelihood of receiving far less than the shills 'promise'

do i really want to spend my time & energy repeating myself?? of course not.

but what choice do i have?

bow down to a bunch of paid-off sock muppets? i think not!

!Buyers Beware!

promises mean nothing here

@IYFTech - Thank You for having & utilizing your brain unlike the reward-hungry dupes we hear way too much from on all these threads!!

-snip-

I'm not going to discuss this any longer in this thread as its off topic. If you want to have a conversation about it, find a more appropriate venue for it and let me please.

I had a lot of respect for you given all you have done but you compromised your impartiality as soon as you accepted payment from Bitmain. Now you are now embarrassing yourself, and Bitmain given how you are conducting yourself.

personally i feel that bitmain & dogie are very well suited partners in grime/ignorance

WTH are you guys bi**in about? Why are you attacking Dogie here where he can't defend himself? Man Up and settle this somewhere where isn't reduced to a punching bag!

if you have failed to read the ongoing slurs from dogie himself, please refrain from comment. lest you make yourself appear ignorant.

im owed money, dogie has taken it upon himself to post more garbage - to which i have retorted.

WTH is your purpose here?

I can't read every bit of dribble that drips into this forum. I did read your warning about the dangerous hardware they sell that is vaporware, and I had to stop. Dogie is a resource here and you are destroying him. So my purpose is to get you to back off a bit so that I and others can get future tech running when some new FinFet doohickey that refuses to do its biz is turning our heads bald.

BTW: He has clearly stated that he is paid by Bitmain so stop calling him names. If you can't keep two thoughts in your head at the same time then turn down the heat a bit and take it slow.

so your role is to waste yours and others' time defending an ignorant & offensive shill..

give it up.

i'll 'turn it down & take it slow' as and when i am reimbursed as i was promised. aka never

all of which is neither yours nor dogies business.

thanks for your concern though, im sure dogie appreciates the support

'absolutely promising chip in world'...

this is yet another long scam by serial scammers

!!BUYERS BEWARE!!

be advised these scammers are well known to employ Multiple shills & sock puppet accounts promoting their dangerous hardware & exploitative vaporware

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYMD_W_r3Fg

What is the scam? I realize that the string design is a big risk and the price is too high for current difficulty. But people should  know this and if they choose to buy that is their risk. Right?  Huh

have you not followed these dogs' progress over the past 18 months?

false promises, lies, deception are but 3 of the serious failings of bitmain and his 'team'

there are PLENTY more reasons to completely avoid throwing your money away on hopes and co-ordinated BS!

ask 'dogie' & 'bitmain warranty' - they are fully aware (but rewarded to mislead)
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Cancelled] AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: December 21, 2014, 08:22:21 PM
Just figured I'd put in my 2 cents here.

First off, I'd like to say that I am one that preordered. Although it does suck that they decided to cancel the L1, I think it's better then trying to rush an inferior product to market. I'm not saying that L1 would have been inferior, I mean to say that it probably would have been plagued with stability issues, power issues, connection issue, whatever.

A good example would be the Titan. Now I know many people are happy with their Titan purchase, and that they would defend it, but just as many people, if not more, just are fed up with trying to get them running.

From my experience with Bitmain, their products usually have minimal amount of issues in comparison with any other company. Yes the first batch S4's had issues with power, but that's an easy fix really. If bitmain wasn't able to create and support a solid chip with supporting PCB's to power them, then I believe that it was a better idea for them to cancel.

Personally I love it if they would continue R&D as I trust that given another month or 2, they could have created a superior chip. But just imagine if they would have said "We're gonna delays shipment guys, We are now just like everyone else in this business!" Instead they manned up and admitted they can't deliver, and in my opinion, the refund options they have given are fair, as they are offering more then what we paid. Not much for the timeframe of the preorder, but still more.

I believe though that in the future, should they have one, they should stick to their original claims of not being a pre-order company. It has given them a lot of business and why would you want to break the trust of your clients. Trust is everything. Also, I believe they need to be more active with the community. We hardly ever hear from them, Small updates and announcements really go a long way.

This is just my opinions, feel free to contribute in anyway you want, because I know you all will Tongue
I concurred. At least Bitmain offered full refund with 5 to 10% bonus. How many manufacturers of mining hardware have done that? IMHO Bitmain is the best manufacturer of mining hardware.

IMHO - you are either lying, inexperienced or one of MANY bitmain sockpuppet shill accounts.

and my posts regarding failing bitmain hardware are being deleted!!
