"Need to know"  Basics...
Plugging in the pci cable fully can be tricky, as most of the cubes have the pcb mounted about 1mm too low, and the plug tends to catch on the bottom of the hole in the cube. In order to get them to fully plug in FULLY, you must slightly LIFT UP and push in on the pci plug after it first gets a bite for it to fully slide into the plug socket.
If you miss it, and it fails to fully latch, it may indeed melt; especially if your psu employs 16awg wires.
Seeing a single wire on the pci plug begin the meltdown is a sure sign of a poor connection...
and if you use a dab of conductive grease on each pci connection, it will also help make good contact, and avoid all this.
power delivery is 95% on these imho
Plugging and unplugging the pci plugs too much or not gentile can also quickly loosen the connections.

What a fail engineering for a 10k$ device!

Are you seriously still at it??

are you actually trying to deflect criticism of your crew with this ancient crap??

KnC have been a bunch of cunts for almost a full year now, how long until you dwell fully in that bracket?

Rawdog give it up, you sound like a lonely demented child.

Lies mixed with facts dont help anyone unless they have something to hide.

...

Now how about those shipped order numbers etc?
1323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 01, 2014, 04:24:37 AM
what was the latest order number shipped?
1324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 30, 2014, 04:34:58 AM
@BitcoinPappi -

Let me know what you find out by PM from either RoadStress or SP-Tech.
Im done following or posting in this thread.  When you get word let me know and Ill
send you the order number to work with them to transfer to you.

This is the last and final time I get burned by an ASIC manufacturer falling short ever again.
The guarantee I got from RoadStress was also as good as every other promise I got ever related to
BTC and its always the small buyer who gets the short end of the deal in the long run every time.

****
I think Guy and SP-Tech is a standup business, their SP10 was GREAT, but when promises are made and you hide
behind the no refund policy because we took your BTC and you cant make us pay it back, is a policy that
NEEDS TO END TODAY!!!
****

No other type of company IN THE WORLD can get away with sales like that.  Why, because 99% of them
work with CC sales and they know that if they screw you, you can go back to the CC company and force
a refund by issuing a charge cancellation or charge back.

The ASIC manufacturers are STILL hiding behind the BTC payment only, no refund policy because they
know there is a GOOD chance they will fall short and people will ask for refunds.
It works out better for them to calculate a partial refund / interest free loan / that works for them and
not you.

This is the last time I ever order any ASIC gear EVER.  Its just the last staw for me.
Thanks for the ride, it was fun while it lasted.

Its a shame that it ends this way.

The attitude of 'some' of these self appointed 'front/middlemen' makes it infuriating when things go wrong.

All the pressure sale tactics, broken promises and veiled threats only wind us up more. Not to mention the disgusting shilling elsewhere!

If anything i think roadstress should be focusing on what he can do for the community , NOT what he can squeeze out of us while remaining 'guilt free'

'its not 'my' fault you're all fucked'

Many thanks to the SPTech team otherwise, still intrigued to see what these 4.5TH/s rigs ACTUALLY deliver once plugged into our sockets..(+/-5%)

4.4?

4.1?

3.9?

& 3000w ffs!      EACH!!

Thx for the update.

Was just about to post that sp30 was now out of stock...

Holding breath for next update/s

1326  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologoes - 6 THS Bitcoin Miner - First PICS! on: July 22, 2014, 02:21:14 AM
oh plueeze - you clearly have a ulterior motive to magically show up after a few weeks after no activity and attempt to discredit the company.

please - just go somewhere else to try and hurt their sales... because that's clearly your motive. just come out and admit it...

The only entity that's hurting MAT's sales is MAT themselves.  They still haven't proven they possess a working machine.

prove it!

Prove YOU are not a paid shill/sock puppet for a scamfag vaporware merchant...

'probably mid july', indeed...
1327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S2 Antminer stops hashing, LCD blank, and both red and green LEDs are lit. Help. on: July 18, 2014, 06:47:18 PM
I have a two week-old S2 Antminer that has ceased hashing and both LEDs are now on. I have not opened the case to check the connections but if you recommend that I so so, I will. I am concerned that something more serious and fatal may have happened. My system has not overheated and is kept in a well air-conditioned cabinet. I would like to know if any other members have had a similar experience and if so, how the episode was resolved.
Thank you,
Justin
Have you upgraded the MicroSD card?

Apparantly not, unless it was through the fan grilles with chopsticks...

I recommend you open her up, and check everything is snug... it wont be

stay in touch
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 18, 2014, 11:32:24 AM
looks like phonie is still working hard to keep his critics muffled despite his repeated false claims of 'ignoring' them

like i said - i've thought on more than one occasion that its done intentionally, perhaps to disguise other less 'quirky' objectives.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: July 18, 2014, 09:49:27 AM
When I try to objectively read through all the comments here from people who seem like they are Alpha-T customers, I see a repeating pattern … good people having a hard time coming to terms with the idea that there are people in this world who will blatantly lie to you and manipulate you for profit. Acknowledging that there are people in this world who want to take what you have and will use any means possible to succeed is hard for good people. Acknowledging that not all people are good is hard for good people.

These kind of people not only take your money, they also take your faith in the goodness of human nature.

I am not going to say that Alpha-T have been lying to their customers, or scamming their customers, or anything else negative about Alpha-T because I don't know that to be true and there is always the chance, however slim, that they are just poor at communication or bad at execution or any number of other possible reasons for not having a prototype to show 2 days after their stated project end.

But when I see that carrot (increase in power, promises that the project is doing well and is on time, improved chip performance numbers, etc) dangling in the air all the way to the end (credit card payment facilities finally up, 2 week to pay or else) I am left with the feeling that something is going on here that isn't right.

And somebody with the authority to investigate the facts needs to start investigating ASAP.

Good Post!!

it does hurt us good guys when we're surrounded by the absolute scum of the earth.

its the lies more than anything, smiling and promising it all - knowing full well that its all BS & they not only think we're stupid but go all out to make us think we are stupid too...

the doubting your sanity kind of abuse...

the really sad part is that some of the guys here have brought it upon themselves, more talk and less thinking etc.

like that guy who wont stop repeating himself...

and that other guy who mocks others and fails to see the irony when he himself gets bitten..

and the various scams that they involve themselves in/around

Interesting idea here.
But let me get this strait, you are developing the U coin to offer as "security" against any malicious/failed exchanges. If any exchange is certified by the CDIC and bellies up, then the CDIC will process the claims and pay out in U coins, equivalent to holdings at time of loss?

In correlation with coin development, you are also starting up this "CDIC", as a separate business entity and will have equal access and equity along with the U coin itself.

This CDIC is not even operational yet, as quoted by the web site... "We are currently in beta while we look for additional team members and develop processes and policies."

In the OP you say that the CDIC is up, operational and as a matter of fact by stating... "While we cannot fully comment on the CDIC’s approval process or policies, we do know that the exchange must provide proof of liabilities and pass a series of penetration tests before being insured.  This ensures that the exchange is doing its job, and reassures its customers that it’s a safe place to store digital currency.  These policies are provided at $0 premium to the exchange due to the unique Crypto-Asset Backed Insurance or (CABI) system devised by the CDIC."

It also seems very precarious that the use of language style and contexts between the U coin OP and this CDIC website are eerily similar, like it was written by the same individual.

But I was thrown off when you responded to this...

Who is the CDIC?   Is it a legal entity?  Is it an unlicensed insurance company?   You know you cant offer insurance unless your a licensed insurance company registered in every State in the US you intend to offer it in Right?     I dont get it   you cant just  "Be an Insurance Company"    There are a multitude of laws you would be breaking in the US.    Explain this.     Insurance is a highly regulated field  and that applies to all insurance offerings ....   Crypto may not be regulated  But I assure you insurance is.

I will pass on this message and ask them for a statement.

Thank you

So I have to ask myself....
Are you waiting for a response from yourself regarding the legality?

If you have nothing to do with this CDIC, then who is actually behind it? Why is there no news any where of this CDIC agency?

Any answers would be appreciated !!

give OP an hour or two - he will work out some vague explanation or just delete your my post.

Example: John owns 1 BTC and an equal amount (in value) of Umbrella-BTC.  Bob owns 1 BTC.  Both are held on Exchange XYZ.  Exchange XYZ fails and declares bankruptcy protection.  John opens up a claim to the CDIC and gets his Umbrella-BTC returned to him.  John is still out 1 BTC, but not completely wiped out by the exchange collapse.  On the other hand, Bob has lost all his money and has no where to turn for help.  He posts a sympathy thread on reddit hoping for donations :-(

You forget Jack. Jack hold 2 BTC. He keep 1 BTC on Exchange XYZ. Unlike John he never heard about Umbrella-BTC. So he keep another 1 BTC in his own wallet (outside the Exchange XYZ). The Exchange close. Jack lost exactly 1 BTC. He is mad but at least he now he still hold 1 BTC. Meanwhile, John is worried. John is not sure if his claim for the lost Umbrella-BTC will be accepted. Also he has no idea of it's value. He wonder if he lost more than 1 BTC.

deletion incoming!!!

If Umbrella Holdings were not trying to scam people why would you delete inoffensive and On Topic posts??

i have not once referred to you as a scammer, and then you began to act like one.

good luck being pointless, defensive & ultimately redundant.

Indeed - deleteing everyone who says anything other than 'shut up - take my money' must be the best part of this forum for scammers.

perhaps that is why theyre so abundant among us...

food for thought (or deletion, depending on your perspective)

Due to nazi style deletions from the Umbrella HOLDINGS Umbrella thread, i have decided to open my own self-moderated thread which will be used to ensure what i decree as facts will be the only opinions available here.

If anyone really feels the need to throw their money away on BS, im always open for 'donations'.

So yea, 'Pioneers'.....WHERE have i heard that recently???
