The thing is; if you are an investor a bubble is actually really good. Bitcoin has never crashed to zero, and therefore you could probably wager that if it did crash, and the bubble popped. You would be able to invest at that low price point, and if history repeats itself watch your investment appreciate in value over time.
I honestly, don't get when people use a bubble as a criticism since its usually from people who haven't invested, and a bubble is exactly what they want to be able to make money. Of course, bubbles exist, and I'm not going to tell you Bitcoin isn't going through a bubble right now. What I can tell you is bubbles are somewhat natural in anything that holds value, and bubbles are usually temporary.
Bitcoin at least over the years has proven that its only appreciated in value over time, and if you believe in the currency, and understand the fundamentals behind it, then you'd probably expect as it gets more rare, the value should rise up more.

It is true, but migrating a forum of this size to another platform is not an easy task. On the other hand, I have seen many forums "die", as they migrated to other platforms and were unable to guarantee all the features that the community is used to on the new platform.
This was probably due to there being better alternatives to the forum, rather than the new platform scaring people away. Unfortunately, humans in general hate change, and therefore any big or small change is usually off putting, but given enough time we'll adapt to anything put in front of us. So. although at first it might seem significant that it doesn't have x feature, or you don't like the design elements, it quickly evaporates away as you become more familiar with the software.

placed a small bet on jake paul here for my motivation to watch this fight. if paul will win this fight, will he ask for exhibition fight from mayweather? lol btw, at least this fight pushed thru as compared to his bro's fight against mayweather. Probably. It does seem like anyone can get a fight with Mayweather these days. Also, as far as I know Logan Paul VS Mayweather is still on its just been moved back a little bit. I believe Logan Paul is in his training camp right now. No idea if Mayweather even trains for these fights The odds for this fight are closer than expected. Either fighter is probably worth the punt. I'm going with Askren via decision personally.

What do you think about the opportunity of the winner in fight Robert Whittaker vs. Kelvin Gastelum to have another chance to fight against Israel Adesanya?
Its the only logical step to go in my opinion. I'm fully expecting Whittaker to come away with the win, and hes deserved another title shot for a while. I also think Whittaker, and Gastelum are probably the only men in the division capable of beating Adesanya on his day. Although, it will be interesting to see if fighters look at improving their game to see if they can take Adesanya down, as he was pretty much man handled towards the end of the fight vs Mr Polish Power. Although, there is a considerable weight difference to factor in there.

Just to be clear, I wasn't the one that moved the thread, but I'm a little concerned for my IQ now, as you eloquently put; "Made out of whale sperm" as I for the life of me can't find any mention of you wanting to acquire a loan, but rather you stating that no one would lend you anything. If you want a loan, you probably need to explicitly ask for it, rather than beat around the bush. tip of the iceberg.
Let's hope for all the moderators sake, that is all it is.

Its wishful thinking that we get the best Conor back, and by that I don't mean his antics, such as not paying the donation that he had promised, but the way he got into fighters heads before the fight, and the way he pursued each fight. He's been missing that fire, and I'm not quite sure if he will ever get it back, but it is better as a fan if we do.
Hopefully, Conor's team sorts out this issue with Poirier, but even if it does it would seem like limiting the damage done to his reputation, rather than honestly going through with the donation. If the threat that Conor has made, about cancelling the fight I really hope it back fires. He basically, cancels the fight, and then a title shot his handed to Chandler, and Poirer. I know it wont happen that way around, Conor is where the money is at, but I'd love to see it back fire on him just because of the stunt he's pulled, and the way he acts like hes the main man, and no one else matters, while at the same time being the reason why things broke down.

I honestly don’t get people who are constantly asking questions that don’t make too much sense at the moment - and that’s exactly “when BTC $1 million - or is that even possible?”. For all those who ask the same question, where do you think all the money that will pump the price of x15 will come from?
People often asking these questions are catching the old "fear of missing out", and just want some encouraging words to actually take the plunge, and finally purchase some Bitcoin. Although, the question or the majority of the answers that could be given to this question are purely speculation, which basically means its almost worthless. As for your question, regarding where the pump would come from, and I understand your almost asking a rhetorical question, to further your point, but the answer is no one knows. If Amazon invested a tonne into Bitcoin, and announced that Bitcoin could be used to purchase anything on their platforms, then that would likely increase the price by quite a lot. However, no one would know this until they do it, so really accurately predicting the events that effect Bitcoin prior to them happening, is quite simply impossible, and thus the original posters question is impossible. We simply don't know when everything is going to slot into place to increase or for that matter decrease the price.

My aim when gambling is just to make the matches/fights more enjoyable. Nothing is worse than watching Man City smash poor old Burnley, unless you have something riding on it. MMA is different, I'll enjoy them regardless, but it does increase that nervous tension before the bigger fights, which I quite enjoy. Nothing like waiting for your favorite fighter to step into that octagon, and hopefully take the win.

Askren is a wrestler. He was picked because he’s considered the weakest puncher in professional fighting. He would kick Jake’s ass in wrestling or MMA without a doubt. He may kick his ass in boxing, but he was chosen specifically because boxing is his weakness and he is a respected fighter. You also have to understand he just had a serious hip injury and was out of shape before taking this fight.
Basically, Jake is boxing a retired wrestler coming off a major injury who wasn’t in shape. If he can’t win, I may have to admit that Logan has a 0% chance against Floyd.
Askren at least wasn't Jake Paul's first choice which was Dillon Danis, probably because I'd argue he might be even worse than Ben Askren at throwing hands. Both are somewhat decorated wrestlers/BJJ. Jake also was looking ahead, and if he was to beat Dillon maybe he expected Conor to come out of the woodwork due to the fact they are somewhat close. Logan Paul has a punchers chance, right? However, Mayweather has been in that ring with many killers, and Logan Paul is far from a killer. Mayweather will have enough experience, and will likely carry Logan for a few rounds to make a spectacle of out of it, but its very unlikely Logan lands anything meaningful on him. Boxing is generally more predictable than MMA or real fights. Logan's reach advantage isn't going to mean anything against Floyd. Back to Askren, and Paul; I do think Askren might edge this, and surely with the odds being somewhat favourable for a punt on him hes got to be worth it simply because of the experience.

Theymos has a history of wanting to keep transactions denominated in terms of bitcoin, rather than USD. He kept your treasurer agreement in place for years after the bitcoin price made the fee excessive. Theymos also cannot unilaterally change the terms of the treasurer agreement. If he wanted to reduce the fee paid to treasurers, he would need to get the treasurers to agree to a new rate, and risk that some may not agree, and be left with fewer treasurers
I'm sure most would understand adjusting the new rate, and if they aren't then I'm sure adequate replacements could be sought after. Although, theymos has stuck with Bitcoin denominations rather than USD, it might be time to consider tying it to something which is a little less volatile. I'm not sure the best approach to be honest, but I'm sure there will come a time where an adjustment will be made. Although, theymos sticking to Bitcoin denominations isn't always valid. There are instances unrelated to treasurers where its tied to USD value.

For Holland I think he's a little tired after losing three weeks to Derek Brunson. The result of this match made Holland lose twice in a row.
I don't think the result against Derek Brunson had much effect if any at all. He didn't look that tired going into this fight, evidenced by his striking ability. He was much quicker than Vettori still, and if he kept it on the feet he would have likely won. Its the fact that Holland has an exposed weakness, and that is once you get him on the ground, he'll just accept the position (against Brunson) or he will get back up just to get taken down again. His takedown defense is atrocious considering he's quite poor on the floor. I do believe he has a black belt, but I'm not sure if that's deserved at this rate. He doesn't show too much technical ability on the floor, and its usually total dominance from his opponent.

If Javascript were to become a requirement, then the forum would risk losing some people. I am not the only one to have expressed similar concerns in the past. Yeah, I'm really big against most sites that require Javascript to function. Personally, I think as a developer you should be not enforcing something that potentially could compromise their security. Instead, either program the whole thing around without forcing Javascript, or provide an alternative site if it detects the user doesn't have Javascript enabled. This forum software is great in terms of general use without Javascript. I've actually had to enable it a few times for moderator actions, since there were certain pitfalls while taking certain actions.

I mean we've got to have a decent budget for our annual moderator parties, and april fool shenanigans, right? Global moderators maybe, but local board, and general moderators tend to get much less than that. Usually, in the low hundreds depending on activity, and how many actions they take as a moderator. For those calling for transparency regarding mod payments, its super easy to find out how much a moderator is getting paid. Basically, staff get paid based on a hidden algorithm probably only known by theymos.

If it wasn't for the fact that this was over Poiriers foundation, I would probably think this is the usual fight promotion, that I'm pretty sure fighters are encouraged to do behind the scenes, but considering its over a delicate situation, I'm more inclined to believe this. I kind of get it if Conor wanted to know what his donation money is being used for, as some charities/foundations provide this information when making a donation, but I really don't believe that Poirer's team would have withheld that information if requested.
I'll admit I didn't think Conor deserved another shot at Poirier, and thought Poirier should have went for the title fight instead, and I wasn't all that excited for the trilogy, but this may have given me a bit more hype to it. I think it'll go ahead, Conor probably jumping the gun by saying he'll find someone else. I think Chandler chimed in suggesting he should replace Poirier.
Who knows we might get the hungry old Conor back.

|
|
Like, I don't understand how Conor would benefit him. The fact that he himself, and his team both ignored any incoming messages from Poirier, and his team just tells me it was all talk. Conor's manager might have now responded that they will pay, but its now a long time after, and it required Poirier to go public about it to get it done. This just now seems like damage mitigation by Conor's team rather than actually having the intention to send the donation. The fact a donation helps Conor with his tax rebate is just mind boggling that he would even say this, and not follow through with it right away.
Obviously, we couldn't possibly know everything that's going on behind the scenes, but you'd think they would have sorted this out before it was made public.

Poirier tweeted about Conor not paying the $500k he promised to his foundation. I can't see any reason Poirier would lie about such a sensitive topic, even if Dana asked him to promote the fight. I know Conor said no more Mr Nice Guy after his loss to Poirier, but I thought he might have kept his word this time around.
I'll be honest I liked that Conor seemed to start maturing, but it did seem to take the edge off of him. So, although I probably do want Conor to bring his trash talk back, and regain his form just because it makes an already stacked division more exciting, but I wish he didn't pull this move.

^ And Jack Shore won. Does Wales have a good program for wrestling as a competitive sport at University or even highschool? His wrestling skills are at par or could even be better than some of guys from the US who fight in the UFC.
Not really, we have wrestling clubs at universities, but if were to compare it to the scene in America at colleges, and high school I'd say its no where near the standard or funding. I'm glad Jack Shore won, I've been following him for a while, and fully expected him to make some noise on his debut. He's probably an anomaly, there's not many Welsh mma fighters in the UFC only a couple, and one of them got cut recently. His name is escaping me at the moment. Honestly, it was a real tough opponent for him to come up against, but he handled it well, and I know some people might argue that it was close on some of the rounds, and there was definitely some dubious scoring that night, but I think Jack did enough to take the win.

So, obviously I stated that I was rooting for Vettori in this fight, but I'm at least glad that it seemed Holland actually came to fight this time around. So, I'm not all that critical of him, except that he really needs to work on his takedown defense now that its been exposed. As, if he wants to progress up the rankings, that will be the go to strategy against him.
I thought Alves was doing alright until he wasn't. He had some pop in his punches, and wasn't too far away from landing some of the big shots he was throwing. I do feel like he loads up way too much on his shots though.

Basically, if you have a strong password in the first place, and you use different passwords in different places that significantly reduces the chance of database leaks compromising you. The only issue then is if Bitcointalk was compromised, but at least the passwords are hashed, and if you have a strong password to begin with its unlikely that anyone will be able to crack it before you become aware that the site was compromised. So, generally if you follow these guidelines, you don't really need to change your passwords all that often, if at all depending on your own personal security protocols.
There are times which you might make a mistake, and aren't completely convinced that your data wasn't compromised, especially when traveling, or using insecure devices. I've definitely had these moments in the past.
However, I do recommend users do a security review from time to time even if you believe everything is fine.

It would end up in a draw, unless its justified. The Mike Tyson fight had a reason to be a draw, it was for charity, and it had a good feeling sort of vibe towards the whole night. I do think Tyson was up for much of that fight, and probably did win, but there you are.
This isn't for charity though, and it isn't ending in a draw, unless its that close. I don't see it being close though, its either going to be Jake Paul punching Ben in the face all night, and Ben just pressuring or Ben is going to show him exactly what it means to have experience at the elite level. I don't care what people say, and Yeah I've doubted Ben Askrens punching ability, but the mans a dog, and he can take a punch. He can't take knees, that's been well established, but he can take punches, more than Jake Paul will be able to give.
If you look at the recent press conferences, I think Ben is actually living rent free inside Jake paul's head right now. I do think the face palm was a little frustration from Ben, because of the constant interrupting Paul does, but it actually worked out for him. Jake lashed out, in a weak fashion, which either looked to be a rib shot or possibly even kidney shot. I haven't really looked back on it, but its a place where you can definitely catch someone off guard, but Ben looked unfazed, and the punch actually will have a physiological effect on Jake Paul. Ben won the conference by a mile, I noticed that Jake resorted to play ground level insults, and even quoted his brother Logal Paul, when he had the conference in London against KSI by saying "Look at the dick on this guy". This tells me, and I admit I might be looking into it too much, but this tells me that Jake has been effected by Ben calling him "Logan's little brother" rather than using his name, since Logan is in his mind, he feels like hes losing the press conference, and Ben is getting the better of him, so what does he do? He thinks what his older brother did to win the conference against KSI, and used a direct quote.
Jake just looked uncomfortable, constantly adjusting his hands, touching his nose like he was nervous or second guessing himself. Ben on the other hand was very chilled, maybe a little bit too laid back. You have to imagine, how will Jake who looked out of his comfort zone in that conference act when he's in the ring with Ben, who isn't going to stop coming forward until you put him down, and put him down for good.
