2621  Economy / Exchanges / Re: share yours good and bad experience in coinbase and coins.ph on: September 03, 2017, 10:22:04 AM
Do you use Coinbase? share your good experiences while using this wallet and the bad experiences you tackled along the time you use/used this wallet.

For my fellow Pinoy I have a question for you.

Did you experienced good transaction and bad transactions? please do share what are those.

Coinbase is a legit service, and extremely good for people who are new to crypto. There's almost zero risk to be scammed, but their fees are pretty high, and make them alot less competitive for someone like me.

They might have delays with sending transactions sometimes, but you will always get your bitcoin/ETH/altcoin. They have a pretty good trust record and a good technical team, and they are making so much money that exit scamming is probably not worth it for them..

As for using them as a "wallet", i really wouldn't. It is much easier to just get a hardware wallet like electrum. This way you are not dependant on a third party like coinbase.
This goes for any exchange/market^
2622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LBC] Future of LBRY Credits? on: September 02, 2017, 07:22:20 PM
Just play around with the app. It takes a long time to load videos, if they load at all. There is no universal search, you can't find anything by searching, it just takes you to a page named for what you searched. There is no streaming. Many bugs. So far no one is going to use lbry. If they can fix these problems then maybe they can compete with youtube. If they can get just 5% of youtube's users lbry will be huge. But without active development it will go no where. Hoping the devs can get on with it and improve lbry.

Yeah. Very true, i agree that they are lacking alot of stuff, but with the size of their team, I'll give them a bit more time. I hope that they make a universal player like youtube with connected nodes that automatically download content or something like that.

That would be very promising to see.

Also, are there any other altcoins which do the same thing as LBRY Credits is trying to accomplish? Video streaming and such?
I might diversify my portfolio a bit more in them aswell, in case LBRY gets beaten by them, which i don't see happening anytime soon, but you never know it in this market...
2623  Economy / Currency exchange / [H] Bitcoin [N] 10$ Paypal. on: September 02, 2017, 05:51:47 PM
I have bitcoin, and i need 10$ paypal ASAP..

Due to chargebacking newbies, i will only deal with Sr. Member+, or unless you have really good trust.

Please PM me so we can make a deal, Lets make the rate around 8+% Preev? I am not sure what is fair for this kind of a deal, but i'm sure we can work something out. I can also sent the BTC first, if that is necessary.

2624  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how improve trading on: September 02, 2017, 05:33:54 PM
I am new here bt don't understad how improve trading. I am already loss many altcoin. Now I am improve my trading.give some tips about this

You're losing because you're probably extremely shortsighted. There's only a small amount of people in this world who can "day" or "hour" trade while making profit, and you're statistically seen probably not one of them.. You therefore need to change how you play this ""game"".

It's the market cycle, coins go up and down, don't worry about it. People always see trading as some second to second thing, while it really isn't that. That's how you lose ridiculous amounts of money.

Why don't you search for 5-10 altcoins you truly believe in project and product wise, and speculate on those for a longterm. ( Lets say 6-18 months. ), and just don't look at them.

People who did this with bitcoin in 2010-2015 made way more then most of the  people who were buying dips and selling highs in 2010-2015 with bitcoin.
2625  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good day - Question about cloud mining on: September 02, 2017, 05:21:24 PM
Good day ma'am/sir! I was introduced here by my fellow classmates and friends because we both experienced being scammed in this so called cloud minning. Can anyone help me out please on the things that should i do and things i should not do in here because i am looking forward to earn some money to help myself and my siblings. Thanks in advance for helping out and pardon for i know that this question is frequently asked. If you guys have any suggestion which could help, i am eager to read it and study it if needed.

First of all, welcome to the forums. I could tell you all the rules, but it would better if you'd skim through here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

I'll list some things you shouldn't do on this forum / watch out for ( in my opinion. These are not necessarily forum "rules"). ( things newbies frequently are getting scammed for)

- HYIP/ Ponzi scams, they're extremely similar to cloud mining, ridiculous payouts is usually how you spot them.. There is an entire board dedicated to them. Avoid at all costs. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=207.0)
- Selling ANY altcoin anywhere on this forum for Paypal $$$. You will get chargebacked.
- Trading with low, and untrusted members. These have nothing to lose, and will scam you even for 2$. Be extremely cautious.
- Clicking on any links members sent you in PM that look fishy, or any banners.
- Be wary that time is money for alot of members of this forum. Questions are good, but don't be stupid, don't waste other peoples' time..
- Try to get a loan with your newbie account. Just don't.
- Spam for your signature, it hinders alot of people, and is not going to be worth it in the end.

These should be very straightforward, but there's dozens of people somehow still falling for all of these scams, and annoying other users..

Now for bitcoin, there are some guides out there which are really good. I'll list you some.

 - Basic guide. Give it a read and scroll down for some more links and wallets. https://blockgeeks.com/guides/what-is-bitcoin-a-step-by-step-guide/

 - Blockchain Technology explained, https://blockgeeks.com/guides/what-is-blockchain-technology/

 - Satoshi whitepaper, understand how bitcoin works from the technical side, https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
The entire http://bitcoin.org site is very good. It has alot of information about bitcoins for beginners.

 - Lurk moar, through different sections of the forum. It will give you alot of good knowledge.

As for making money on the forums, I wouldn't know anything else other then selling a skill, or your signature space. ( which is worth nada if you're a newb.).

If you're familiar with normal stock trading, you could try to trade altcoins. on both http://poloniex.com and http://bittrex.com

Buy coins which you think will go up in value / are worth more then they currently are. Do research on them, study their team, their whitepaper, their planning / roadmap, and make your own decisions..

See https://coinmarketcap.com/ for the most altcoins.

2626  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YOBIT freezing withdrawls on: September 02, 2017, 02:22:05 PM
Which cryptocurrency did you want to withdraw? ETH transfers are on many services and exchangers hanging because of high traffic or sth else. Maybe you are lucky, that this is the reason for the issue in your case. But poor support seems to be a big problem for yobit.
Best luck, that you can cash out.

He's saying you shouldn't withdraw ANY currency from their site but ETH, i think he is implying that is the only coin which is currently working.

Anyway, Yobit has been shady for a long time, but has never not paid me my coins..Although i am always extremely careful when i use them.

My withdraw was stuck once, but it was easily resolved after a ticket, ( this was some time ago though ), maybe PM them here on the forums?.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=406594

EDIT;

It seems that alot of people are currently having trouble withdrawing from yobit, you might want to open up a scam report to see if they respond to that?
2627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Address Reuse? How can I hide activity or at least put many layers? on: August 30, 2017, 03:32:18 PM
I'm a beginner but can see the problem. What is the best practice to try and do this?

My Trezor device is coming shortly and I want to put all my BTC there.

Currently the BTC is on my laptop which was sent from my online exchange to 1 address.

Should I worry about the exchange getting hacked which will reveal the destination address of my laptop which will then lead to my final address which is the trezor device wallet.

What do I need to do to add layers?

Could something like this this work?

Exchange > Address (Office computer (own office)) > To a personal laptop newly bought > Then send to my trezor device and eat the fees along the way?

And if anyone tries to rob me at gun point, I can say that I have spent the money on wards when i sent to the laptop wallet which in effect stops them trying for the trezor wallet.

Sorry if this sound silly but Im paranoid about security now. Its like putting money under your mattress. Please advice best steps?

Uhm, no, if i get your question right, you're worried about nothing. If you sent your bitcoins from exchange X to hardware wallet Y, both your private key and public key will be renewed. If the exchange gets hacked, there is no way they could get your bitcoin, unless you EXPORTED the "exchange wallet" into something like electrum.

If you are talking about "privacy", , no this wouldn't really work, since you can easily follow the bitcoin. you would need to use a bitcoin tumbler for that. As follows Exchange -> Tumbler/Mixer -> Trezor.

for more information about mixing, https://bitmixer.io/why.html , https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mixing_service, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_mixer

Be aware that alot of bitcoin mixers are scams. Only use highly trusted ones.
2628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: fractional coins on: August 30, 2017, 02:32:47 PM
I buy 2 bitcoins and store them in some wallet.   I send .5 to someone and now I am left with 1.5.  Next someone sends me .75 bitcoins and now I have 2.25.   I don't understand how this relates to the blockchain.  When ever I read things it's usually kind of talking about whole bitcoins.  When my balance in a wallet is a fractional 1.5, and I add another .75 , how do things get reassembled when I would then have 2 full bitcoins again and another .25.   Should I even be pondering this, does it matter?  I was thinking that a bitcoin had a public/private key pair but what happens when I split a bitcoin in half by sending .5 to someone else.   Does each fractional part get it's own key pair?  If it does not then I can't possible understand how any of this could work.

Whenever you sent someone 0.5BTC, while you have infact 2.0BTC on the adress, the full amount will be spend. you will just sent the other 1.5 BTC to yourself, on another adress, in your wallet.

basically, if you want to send BTC to someone, you send ALL of the BTC that address owns. However, you send to more than one recipient, one of those recipients can be yourself.

This is demonstrated in this transaction for example : http://blockchain.info/tx/b2391755af7382c6643822a52e25620899396cc0dceab0a399033aeafa516310
2629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RED PULSE TOKEN (RPX) on: August 30, 2017, 02:24:52 PM
I for one am definitely going to invest.
I got a large part of my NEO when they where still Antshares at 6 dollar, so it should give me a very good return if all goes well.
That's what got me interested in this ICO aswell, the fact that it is hosted on NEO. I feel like the same thing that happend with the basic attention token will also happen to this ICO.

There's probably some whales which will scoop all the coins right before anyone else can buy in, which makes it even more lucrative to try and get in.
2630  Economy / Goods / Re: VPS/RDP Service ( Admin Access ) [Only For 5 $ Worth BTC ] on: August 29, 2017, 08:49:16 PM
BUMP

Hey, am i able to host bitcoin nodes, and other sorts of altcoin / crypto nodes on your VPSES? Do they have the right ports to be able to do that etcetera? If so, i am interested to buy some VPSES from you.

Please send me a PM if possible. I can pay with bitcoin upfront.
2631  Economy / Digital goods / Re: NiceVPS.net - Cheap Bitcoin and Altcoins VPS - Anonymous Private Hosting on: August 29, 2017, 07:53:00 PM
I see in your website that for the smallest web hosting plan you must buy at least a year contract at once. Is it possible to get only one month of it to see how it fits my needs? Also, I do not see any explicit limits on sub-domains. Are sub-domains included under the general "domains" limit or is it unlimited/has a limit that is not shown? Lastly, is the promo code BITCOINTALK valid for only VPSs or also for shared web hosting? Thanks for your time.

Sorry, the plans are how they are, you can contact us via ticket for a personal quote.
It's written: * Domain registration not included, unlimited subdomains allowed.
Unlimited sub-domains within the domain(s) you may have added in your account.
No hidden stuff.

Yeah, promo code is valid on every plan, last days to get a 20% discount.

-----

Monero (XMR) payments are now also processed in automatic mode along with Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Can these VPSES be used to host nodes on? If so, i am interested to buy one. I can pay with bitcoin upfront. Should i PM you?
2632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / RED PULSE TOKEN (RPX) on: August 29, 2017, 07:21:22 PM
What do you guys think about this ICO? It looks very small (15MIL$), and the idea seems pretty promising. Their team is very experienced, by the looks of.
Alot of potential in my opinion to easily grow to a 100 million marketcap, which would mean x10 or so.?

See, https://coin.red-pulse.com/

2633  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Announcing bitdoubler.io on: August 29, 2017, 06:10:40 PM
We are announcing BitDoubler: https://www.bitdoubler.io/

BitDoubler is an open source web site for double spending bitcoins. There are a bunch of similar sites out there already. But ours is different in that, first of all, it's open source, and second we charge a fee of only 0.0001 btc (about 40 cents) per double spend. Some of the other sites charge as much as 10% of your total transaction amount!

Lots of information is on the web site FAQ, so we won't unnecessarily repeat it here.

Please let us know if you have any feedback.

Why did you make such a site? The only real usecase is to scam other cryptocurrency users, thinking you are paying them while you really aren't. This kind of stuff is what destroys bitcoin, and cryptocurrency.

I don't want to sit on some moral high-grounds, but this will only hurt new people in the bitcoin community.

Also, i could send transactions to myself on your site for some reason? is this a bug?..

It seems your ill-intentions have been confirmed. I'd be surprised if this works at most bitcoin casinos nowadays though.

2635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swarm Fund - thoughts on upcoming ICO on: August 29, 2017, 05:21:51 PM
With the upcoming ICO on 7th Sep what are people's thoughts?

I've heard a lot of negativity about Swarm 1.0, are people more confident about the update?

Is this swarm fund created by these guys, https://swarm.city/ , or are they two completely different coins/teams. I really see alot of similarities.

Swarm.fund ICO seems like it will generate alot of money, but i don't really feel it. Their idea is not new, it has already been done before more or less. Surely there's money to made, but i'll pass this one.
2636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 PUMP GROUP THAT PUMP COINS TO THE MOON🌙 🌙🌙 on: August 29, 2017, 05:02:42 PM
how much price youre service ?
or youre sevrice is free, how youre pump system work ?

Our PUMP is free. In fact, we reward you with BTC if you promoted and hyped the coin well all over internet.

Join us now!!! https://t.me/ProMoonPump

Stop this scam. I've joined a group exactly like this one a couple months back, my guess is you are the same people.

They hold a "vote", rig em, so they can prebuy, and then they dump on the people which are their ""customers"".

They reward the users that have drawn the most people in their discord with like 10-15 seconds of time to buy in before the rest of the cattle can.

The "we hype it up on social media", is total bullshit.

If this was actually true, they wouldn't even need you guys at all.
It's so obvious that this story doesn't add up, yet so many people keep participating in them. come on.
2637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Better long term storage strategy ? on: August 29, 2017, 01:49:50 PM
Hi everyone,

I plan to save something like 100 dollars per month in bitcoin and other cryptos

My big problem is how to save my portfolio "physically" for several years
I dont want to have it on an exchange platform ....

I can save it on a paper wallet but it seems to be impossible for new coins (wave...)

And will the paper wallet will still be useable in 5 or 10 years ?

You might want to use something like this? https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@mrilevi/the-top-5-best-altcoin-wallets-an-overview

These two are really good, https://jaxx.io/ (12 supported altcoins.) & https://coinomi.com/ (64 supported altcoins)

Also, probably, yes. if you write down the seed of every altcoin wallet you have, you should theoretically be fine, even if it's 20 years later.
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / [LBC] Future of LBRY Credits? on: August 29, 2017, 01:45:12 PM
I was curious what you guys were thinking about library credits, It currently has ~20mil marketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/library-credit/)

The token is all about content freedom, and the sharing of it. They want to represent themselves as the decentralized ""youtube"". https://lbry.io/

With the current youtube crisis that is going on, ( no adrev, youtube censoring political or supposedly ""racist"" video's.) I feel like a coin like this could really boom.

Is this something that could blow up? What do you think?

2639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x. Coins opposite of BTC? on: August 28, 2017, 06:08:42 PM
Hey guys,

I converted to Tether already, because I think we will see a bear market about ten weeks before the Segwit2x in mid November.
But instead of Tether I would prefer to invest in coins that are opposite of BTC, and will most likely pump.

Anyone know any good opposite coins or coins that pumped in the previous bear market?

Thanks.
Honestly, every coin is pretty much tied up to bitcoin. If bitcoin pumps/dumps, altcoins will always respond to that. I don't really think that there is an altcoin trying to be the direct opposite of bitcoin, techwise. Maybe one of the tokens, which are centralized?

Alot of altcoins are extremely different to bitcoin, but there isn't really a coin which is the opposite of bitcoin, not techwise, nor TA wise.
2640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: sidechains and the future of crypto--what if after ethereum failed--lisk, ark... on: August 28, 2017, 04:12:56 PM
i have seen people asking what is the future for crypto/blockchain?
what if ethereum failed then who will replace it?

first, ethereum deemed to fail, i have said this again and again seen the beginning, even little kid could see and know it. example if you have a door and everyone want to get through that door at once, this is what happen to ethereum, it come to a halt! the bloat, the network, the centralized control by one young man... all and all the future of crypto will be in sidechains at least this will fixing the bloat and network problems.
i like ark because it have blockchains interoperability and sidechains.
I feel like ethereum isn't the final ""solution"", there is probably another coin after ethereum which is stabler, faster, and better. Maybe something like stratis, but actually doesn't suck.

Ethereum is just the start, there is much more to come. That's why i don't get why people act like they are married with ethereum.
