2441  Other / Meta / Re: How Do Negative Trust Work on: October 27, 2017, 04:22:53 PM
Hello folks,

I want to know how negative trust works. A few hours ago, I came across a fellow managing a campaign. In the campaign thread, I notices a link that was broken and blank. I pm him to point out the problem thinking I was helping a friend. He asked me to show him the link and I tried telling him where to find it. Apparently unable to do so, he threatened to 'neg' me.

So my question is, how does negative trust work? Do people neg people out of malice?

It could be yes, look at my trust history, people have negatively repped me for less. However, that does not matter.

Unless the person negging you is in DT2/DT1 (DefaultTrust), it does nothing.

People that are actually in DT2/DT1 are usually high trusted, and usually won't leave blank negatives/or out of malice, simply because they have too much reputation to loose if they do.

If you think someone did, you can open up a reputation thread here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0 and he might explain it. If he gave it out of nonsense, it could be that people from DT1 decide to remove him, or if he is from DT1, DT.

Which makes his rating pretty irrelevant again.
2442  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buying bitcoins without scanning my IDs on: October 27, 2017, 03:37:43 PM
Use a Bitcoin ATM. problem solved!
Yeah and ATM or LocalBitcoins would be 2 ways. However I wouldn't recommend those scammer owners of LocalBitcoins. Read my past posts.

Couldn't find anything really in your post history about the owners of LocalBitcoins, what happend?

Also, on localbitcoins you are in no way dealing with the owners of the site, rather peer2peer.
You don't even need to use their escrow system if both parties agree, thus it could still be a risky, but viable option if you don't want to use your ID.
2443  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Altcoin Exchange Script (PHP/MySQL) on: October 27, 2017, 02:59:57 PM
Does it work with altcoins too  Huh

it does

Hey, I'm interested in this script, especially after the demo you showed me. It seems to be running extremely well.

Is there any way i could get a % off, in which in return i can write a review about how it works? I'm not planning to use this for any kind of business really, just want to jump around with the site's code really.

I'm gonna send you a PM right now about the script. How about 50-25$$?

Does the coupon still work?
2444  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unconfirmed payment - BTC recieving adress changed on: October 27, 2017, 02:21:29 PM
Hello,
I have to say, I'm kind of a Bitcoin-newbie.
I mine Bitcoins with NiceHashminer 2, and today got my first payment ( about 0.009BTC ). Shocked When i looked into my Electrum Wallet, the transactionis marked  "unconfirmed". Then i saw that my recieving adress has changed, but the transaction is still listet in my wallet (as unconfirmed). I know it may take some time to complete a payment, but will there be troubles recieving my coins ? Huh

Thanks for your help. Kiss

It shouldn't be a problem if the adress is still part of your wallet. Electrum often changes your receiving adress to ensure a feel of " privacy ", there should be no problem receiving it on the old adress, not now and not in the future, aslong as you have it in your wallet, aka have the seed + private keys for it.
2445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin stuck since 17 oktober :( on: October 26, 2017, 06:49:03 PM
Hi guys,

I have a stuck transaction since the 17th of october. Is it possible for you guys to help me get these bitcoin back? I accidentally payd the transaction fee wrong. I used no fee because I wanted to transfer 0,085, so I used 0,0855.

This is the link of the transaction:
https://blockchain.info/tx/1ae6c8f6891f6bb1680154cd615028b4374f0817f5e0f664ef00b70a5e17adf4

https://blockchain.info/nl/address/19oHtPPCtRst6ukZts2MJdTMurnigBQQZq

Thanks in advance Smiley
What wallet are you using?

If you are using electrum, use a resend by Fee, or CPFP,

Quote
Increase the transaction fee. This is only possible for ‘replaceable’ transactions. To create this type of transaction, you must have enabled ‘Replace by Fee’ in your preferences, before sending the transaction.

Create a ‘Child Pays For Parent’ transaction. A CPFP is a new transaction, that pays a high fee in order to compensate for the small fee of its parent transaction. It can be done by the recipient of the funds, or by the sender, if the transaction has a change output.

Go to your tools, preferences, There's a place called fees, click that, enable RBF.

Right click the tx and you should be able to increase the fee and rebroadcast.

If that doesn't work, try to use CPFP

~/~

If you are currently using blockchain.info, export & import your private keys into electrum, & do the above.
2446  Economy / Services / Re: $25,000USD reward for help : Stolen Bitcoin funds on: October 26, 2017, 02:16:08 PM
The funds got into this wallet after being moved out of ETH into BTC at Shapeshift.

How did the funds get stolen from this transaction. I assume you made this transaction and thief intercepted? A bit more detail will help those that are capable of tracking this "dickcheese" down.

Regarding phishing attacks, they do require the victim to click or bite, yeah? Or have they gotten more sophisticated?

Thanks.

You're right, they require you to click a link, you'll be redirected to a scam site (for example a site looking similar to mew), and when you login or fill in the required info they'll steal everything you've got.

Not if your computer is RATTED, which i think is the case with @OP. There is no other way someone can edit your host files.

Shapeshift might be able to help you, if you provide the TX id, and a police report, they'll probably give you the userdata of they guy that did the transactions ( IP ).

Although i'm suspecting he would use a VPN, you never know and it might result in more information, people always leave digital fingerprints behind.

2447  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Twitch Bits [Shop] [Paypal] [Voucher] [Instant delivery] on: October 26, 2017, 02:04:03 PM
Bitsy comes from a legitimate source and works that way.

Cheer without Spending!
We have started rolling out a new way for Twitch viewers in the US to get Bits for activity on Twitch without spending cash. In this case, the activity is watching a 30-second interactive ad. Now when those of you in the US click “Get Bits”, you can either choose a bundle to purchase, or select “Watch Ad”. Then, watch a 30-second ad, or occasionally you will be asked to complete a short survey, and receive your free Bits.

For more information, see this page https://help.twitch.tv/customer/portal/articles/2449458

That sounds pretty legit. I see that the delivery of accounts i instant, so i might buy a small account later today to test it out, and see if it actually works.

Will post an update in this thread afterwards, some kind of review i guess?

Also:
Will the streamer i sent them get any of the bits like they would normally? There is not difference right?

EDIT: You can only pay with paypal @OP?
2448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: October 25, 2017, 07:59:34 PM
Electrum was my first and favorite choice. Bitcoin core takes a long time to sync first.
Electrum? how was the transaction fees of electrum wallet? I using coinbase. But i dont like it. Its so  much expensive. SO need which account or wallet trx fees low and make it faster.

Electrum lets you control the fee amount yourself. You can set it any amount you want, unlike coinbase, where unless you sent them to gdax, you can't, and you will be overcharged for fees.

So yea, electrum is not only better in terms of fees, but also in security, YOU actually own the keys.

I think bittrex is legally obligated to do this, due to the relations US has with some of these countries &(it's residents).

So, unless you are from one of these countries, i don't think there is much to worry about in this case. It isn't MtGox.

They can easily figure out who each country is registering from. Why do they confirm the identity of these people? So we conclude that if a corrupt government came to power in a country, we would let the people of that country be plundered. The oppression again against the oppressed people. with this method Surely the world will be corrected .
You somehow indeed have a point. I don't get why they would people like OP register in the first place if these countries were indeed banned.

Could be that legislation changed, or that they are not necessary banned, but just taken under a  loop, and verified that the coins of him are clean.

I'm wondering, isn't it like 100 bytes = 1.4$? How could you possible offer a thousand bits for 2$?, and, wouldn't this be easily exploitable if this was for real? How much would i get if i give those 1000 to myself as a streamer? Seems pretty weird to me.

Pretty sure they're worth more then 2$?

Are these accounts obtained / filled up with legit bits, or did you used hacked credit cards, stolen paypal accounts to charge them? Please explain.

If this is legit, i'm pretty interested.

Should I be concerned? I started using Bittrex as my main exchange but now I keep hearing about accounts being locked away.. is Poloniex still good?

If you would've read the entire thread, you would've gotten your answer. @OP is from Ukraine, see

No, I'm from Ukraine.

and as previously stated somewhere on page #2,

Are you by any chance in the Crimean part of Ukraine or close to it?

2452  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: October 25, 2017, 03:46:33 PM
I using now xapo and blockchain, I suggest xapo, because I using it from the first days when it started working and I dont have problems with my wallet, fast withdraws and transfers, standart fees, nice support.
i also hear the xapo wallet name . Someone tell me the use for xapo wallet for bitcoin. i want to use more secure. Next one replies to use mycelium. Its cool. Thanks for your kind information.

XAPO is your ordinary webwallet, there is no multisignature, the sitecode is NOT open source, their service is slow.

They support some kind of credit card for bitcoins i think?

Quote
The Company also supports a prepaid debit card system that is compatible with most PoS systems and Bitcoin ATM's.

And i believe that in the past, they used to promote offchain transactions inbetween the userbase of their wallet alot.

Not sure if that's still possible, haven't used/checked them in awhile. It's a webwallet afterall, and i'd suggest against using it, personally.
2453  Economy / Digital goods / Re: MLM Binary script for sale on: October 25, 2017, 02:30:55 PM
I`m selling MLM binary script...
More info on https://bitify.com/auctions/web-development/mlm-binary-system-script-882476/?referral=598714c6939e8
If you need installation service, I will do that for free

Aha. Another MLM hyip script, sold by a newbie, on a site that doesn't give any refunds nor garantuees that you actually get the product.

I think i've only seen another 90 threads which sell more or less the same scam script, using the same format as you do.

Anyone buying this must be

A. a scammer, ( Buying ponzi scripts)
B. completely retarded, since there is absolutely no garantuee you will get anything that you paid for at all.

I would advise to stay far away from these autobuy links if you're buying from newbies..

Thanks
Is there anything we can get from signing up early for the alpha access, other then early access ( if that even is a thing )?

What exactly do you mean by virtual balance? Is your exchange with real money?

What contest exactly?? I'm pretty confused..

2456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: what happens to unconfirmed txs on the forked chain? on: October 24, 2017, 06:27:16 PM
Depending on the fork, and whether it has replay protection or not, it is possible that the transaction could become confirmed on BOTH forks.  In either case, the most recent confirmed transaction on a given fork will determine which address has control of the coins on that fork.
Is this something that has been "implemented"/fixed  in bitcoingold already?

Various articles i've read over the past week tells me they don't have such a thing, but i'm wondering with what they are going to replace that, if they're not adding it.

https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002320451-Statement-on-Bitcoin-Gold-BTG-

Seems to me that they really don't think that it is such a big deal..?
2457  Other / Meta / Re: Please tag my account till I get it recovered on: October 24, 2017, 06:18:46 PM
Actually, the account was sold, not hacked. I have proof the original user above (based on bitcoin address) is the seller.
The user above didn't provide the private key when requested, and deleted telegram after the deal. Stole 0.08BTC for this account.
Theymos, take this into consideration, if anything scrap this account. Do not give it back to the owner who ripped me off almost $500 for this account.

If so, why don't you sign a message aswell from 1Aba9xPJyRUx9ueaCjHPvNqXRcLFHtS44u to prove you actually bought the account.

https://blockchain.info/tx/9abe7aa9668e285a0678af4499b414eaf0571f7894ad6145466bbe8da9d173a2

The transactions had 5 outputs, and three of them were 0.08, did you buy more then one account? Your story seems more and more unlikely to me, 500$?

DISC:
Even if he did infact scammed you for 500$, i don't think you'd still be the rightful owner of it, he still is. No matter what you do, you're gonna get locked out soon.
Which, if he infact scammed you, would be pretty sad, but hey, those are the risks of buying accounts..
2458  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: How to sell 1007.3 BTC ? [help] on: October 24, 2017, 05:24:10 PM
Hello! I need help! Extremely!
I lost 499 BTC. The seller deceived me on the first transaction.

I have all his info, he's from Algeria. A photo. Address. Company details.

I will pay 100 BTC to someone who will help me find it. I will pay for any information about the seller.

Ma new ID: 9027088304

You lost 2.5 million? How on earth could you make such a deal, without checking if he could scam you? You seem like an obvious troll, but since you're offering 100 BTC as help, i'd gladly be able to assist you once you posted the tx id of your trade.

I mean that's the least you could do if you are actually serious about this, right?  Roll Eyes ./s

All your double statements make no sense either. I've seen a massive increase in trolls as of lately, and i can't really wrap my head around the reason why they're doing this? Too much time on their hands?
2459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: what happens to unconfirmed txs on the forked chain? on: October 24, 2017, 04:58:36 PM
If it was unconfirmed at block 491407... then the sending address was still in control of the coins at the time of the snapshot.
Hmm that seems quite strange to me to be fair. So everybody who sent an unconfirmed transaction will still be in control of the coins on the forked chain? So if I understand correctly dedicating hash power to the forked chain is rather pointless because right after the fork there's nothing to mine? Can someone verify this for the sake of having a second opinion?

It seems to me that right after the fork would be the best time to mine actually, since the momentum is at its peak. Like we've seen with bitcoincash, alot of people wanted to get their BCH to the exchanges as soon as possible, creating a shitton of txs with unnecessary high fees.

https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin%20cash-transactionfees.html

The tx fees + the price were alot higher the first few weeks with bitcoincash. Now you never know for sure, but im pretty confident something similar will happen with bitcoingold.
2460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoS, PoW, PoB, PoC ? on: October 24, 2017, 03:30:27 PM
Hi guys, could you please briefly explain me what does the following mean?

Proof of stake

Proof of work - mineable?

Proof of burn - Burning tokens, i got it

Proof of concept

I tried to google it but it is too diff for me to understand Sad( so pls explain it for absolutely dumb misa Sad thx

PoS - Mining is not about hashpower anymore, but rather about the percentage of coins you own in total. Say you own 1% of the total marketcap, you would be able to mine 1% of all the transactions. / which is called 'staking'.

PoW - Exactly like the name, it is a system that needs work ( math ), to prevent abuse of the service. In a total noob definition: These are all the coins that are mineable by CPU / GPU.

PoB -

PoC - Not sure, but i guess it's something along the lines of a random identity that, as soon it is somehow verified, gives you a reward? See the link below, i've never heard about this before.

Quote

Mining with your CPU or GPU is so old-school now that you can use your hard drive to mine with, or so it may seem with the new Burst crypto currency that uses a new algorithm for proof of HDD capacity (POC) mining. Miners pre-generate chunks of data known as ‘plots’ which are then saved to disk. The number of plots you store is effectively your mining speed. Every block the miner will skim through the saved plots, and come up with an amount of time until it is able to mine a block if another block hasn’t yet been found. After reading through the plots is complete, your hardware can idle until the block. It seems quite interesting and that is why we have decided to give it a try
