Can we really earn bitcoin here for free? I'm just wondering.

Depends on what your interpretation of "free" is.

If by free you mean typing useless garbage for a scam ICO without investing any time in finding out how bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole works, then the answer is YES.

So, can you explain how your service works or not?

Simple, I have access to btc pools and can push transactions very fast. Something like pushtx.btc.com but much more cheaper.

How do you push your transactions?  That is what we would like to know.
He uses the BitClub network pool, as you can see all the transaction he accelerated are relayed by them.

The first 3 transaction are included in these blocks, https://blockchain.info/block-index/1666764, https://blockchain.info/block-index/1666826, https://blockchain.info/block-index/1666764

All mined by them.

I just signed up at https://bitclubnetwork.com, and it seems to me that they probably have some sort of system where if you have X amount of shares, you can probably enter some transactions to be accelerated/added in their next block.

I've opened a support ticket to see if this is actually the case, as i'm quite curious myself.

So far, as far as I know, he gives neg-trust not because they are coming from third world countries or something like that, but because of the low quality of their post in this forum.

Then he could have framed his opinion in a better way.

Quote
if you can't speak the language that you're trying to write, then your posts are going to be garbage.
Maybe he can't speak out his mind clearly or maybe he really thinks non native speakers can't convey their thoughts in English. Either way, this guys is rude and unsophisticated.
Lets stick to the topic OP wants to discuss about.

How is merely stating facts rude? Take a look for yourself in the Bitcoin Discussion section or Offtopic/Beginners & Help, and tell me how many of the posts there are written without any mistakes.

1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO bounty manager needed on: January 20, 2018, 09:04:15 PM
there are so many good managers in this forum you can see that they handle big projects.
I give you some popular names:
- Jamal
-Sylon
-If-sir
-Woshib.

and many more, I can not mention one by one.

I have been on this forum for about a year but never knew who the bounty managers were. How did you come up with this list please?

He probably just took some people that are very prominent on hosting bounties in the BOUNTY section, here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

If your bounty is also going to be paying out in BTC, and is legit, i'd recommend

yahoo - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=355846
Darkstar - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936
atriz - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=135920

Although i doubt that you'll get those on board, unless you're going to offer them serious money and can prove to them that you are a legit ICO.
1925  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty,dummy accounts, Buying / Selling on: January 20, 2018, 08:50:21 PM
Hello.
There is a serious topic for discussion. Which is relates to the fact that recently there is a mess on the forum, and the moderators and the forum administration are closing its eyes. Honest users who participate in the life of the forum and want to earn are made to suffer.
That is, a person created an account, spends time, forces to pump the rank, and someone wrote not meaningful, foolish messages. In addition to this, creates 10 such accounts, and then pumps out and sells them batches. Unfortunately, the brains are not attached to the account that is being purchased. It was also noticed that on the forum there are accounts for which the bot writes messages. Cool, right?
One thing, there is still one problem with Bounty. When earnings fell to zero, as the number of participants in each Bounty Company now counts in the thousands. In my opinion, a couple more months and will be estimated at tens of thousands. But the revenues will also decrease proportionally. And the problem lies in the multitude of dummy accounts (In particular, the Russian branch is different)

I want to discuss

1). Buying / Selling Accounts
2). Enter strict verification of accounts for all Bounty members, as well as registering a new account on the forum
3). The first forum rules "1. There is no zero or low value, meaningless and uninteresting messages or threads.

1) Is already highly frowned upon. There's several DT2+ members who will tag accounts that are either bought/sold or encourage the use of sales explicitily to spam the forum.

2) There's already a fee in place when you register a new account from a banned IP ( IP from account that has been banned previously). I don't think adding something such as a passport verifications is going to do more good then harm, and it ultimately ruins why this forum was created in the first place.

3) Report posts that are low value, they'll be removed. There's also several DT2 members which will tag accounts that are constantly spewing out oneliners just to get paid, essentially making the account worthless.
1926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Please Help on: January 20, 2018, 07:55:40 PM
I have a few questions that I would appreciate if anyone could help answer.
1- Being a United States Citizen, what market places for investing and trading crypto currency would you recommend me being in and are there only certain market places I am allowed to use?
2-From research I have done, I have read different things in different places, does anyone know about how the new US tax plan that was just passed effects how crypto currency is taxed? I am want to know so I can keep all of my records up to date.
3-What are the advantages / disadvantages for each market place and do any allow you to short? For example poloniex, Coinbase, and bittrex? Is
4- Do I need to worry about leaving coins in a market place account or should I be trading and moving right into cold storage?
5- Is there anything else you think I should know? Because while I have kept up with and done a ton of research on lots of different coins I still will be a newbie when it comes to trading and investing. So all advice will be greatly appreciated.

1. Many exchanges do not allow US citizens to purchase Bitcoin, but there are some major players that do, such as Coinbase, GDAX, Coinmama, Bitstamp, Kraken and LocalBitcoins. These are all as reputable as you’ll find in the crypto industry. Check out this list for more options: https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/united-states/

2. I’m not familiar with a “new” tax plan that was passed related to crypto currency, but the IRS views crypto as a property (not a currency), which means that you would have to pay capital gains taxes on the value of your crypto transfers, every time you sell or exchange your crypto into fiat. Think of it as real estate when it comes to reporting your crypto sales..

3. Each of the major exchanges have their own advantages. For example, Coinbase has the best rates if you use your bank account directly to purchase crypto. But this requires allowing them to access your bank account, by way of logging into your bank’s online portal via Coinbase. As for as short trading, your options are much better on other TRADING exchanges, such as bitfinex, binance, bittrex, poloniex, etc. as they support much more altcoin options for trading. Each has their own restrictions, and most of their support teams are overwhelmed at the moment, so if you encounter any issues, you’ll unfortunately be stuck with that issue for much longer than you’ll anticipate. They also require verification, for the most part, so anonymity is out of the question as an American. It doesn’t sound like you’re worried about anonymity, though.

4. Yes. Worry about it. Google “Mt Gox” to see what’s happened in the past with millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin. There is always a risk of an exchange shutting down at any moment, regardless of how reputable they have been in the past. Cold storage is among the safest options for storing your crypto. I personally never leave anymore value in any exchanges more than I’m willing to lose in case something goes awry.

5. You’ll learn on your own, as you continue playing around and short trading. Coinmarketcap.com will become your homepage. You’ll find a lot of articles about the best way short the markets, but one thing I hope you take away from my post is this: DO NOT EVER JOIN AUTOTRADING SERVICES or buy any “bots” that auto trade. They claim to be able to read signals and use your own stop orders to guarantee a return, but these are all ponzis. They rely on new customer sales to support and payback the “promise of return”. In fact, stay away from ANY site that guarantees any form of ROI. If their services were legitimately profitable, they wouldn’t have to rely on newbies in order to make money.

Welcome to crypto, and hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for all the information you shared. I looked up some of the alt trading sites you posted such as bitfinex and binance. I noticed Bitfinex is no longer allowing US Citizens to use their trading platform. Do you know if Bittrex or poloniex allows you to deposit USD?

Nope, you will need something like Coinbase, https://www.coinbase.com/ to deposit USD, and then transfer it ( the bitcoin) ( Or instead of bitcoin use something like litecoin/ethereum to reduce the fees.) to poloniex or bittrex. You can't directly deposit USD into these two exchanges.
1927  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] EXPENSIVE GAMES FOR 1$ ONLY!!!! | Cheapest Steam Keys On-Line on: January 20, 2018, 07:22:30 PM

Seems like a scam. How can you make a profit selling these keys for 1$, if the profitability is as high as you suggest? Could you clarify a bit more what the odds are of getting games such as GTA/PUBG, %-wise?

Or are you giving out region-locked/hacked/scammed keys?

1928  Economy / Services / Re: [Paying $250] for One transaction acceleration. on: January 20, 2018, 06:21:05 PM
I have a payment of very low fee. 10sat/B.
And it's stuck for more than 1month +.

If anyone can assist me it will really good.
Please PM for tx id.

Payment by ETH of $250.

If you're willing to pay that much you might aswell use a paid accelerator, saving you from a lot of hassle when dealing with con artists ( since i presume you go first/escrow the funds?).

Hi, you are a newbie, i couldn't send you PM, if you can pay $200 now, i am happy to accelerate your transaction on my pool right now.
Btc-  3Qc1WW41dK64G5GSD5nS7APU666QrCYpXo

Like this guy ^^ "On my pool", oh please tell me, do you own a pool with even over 1% in mining hashpower?

https://pushtx.btc.com/ might just be what you're looking for. If not, PM me the transaction ID and i'll see what i can do for free.

1) Depends on where you're from. I know New york city has stricter regulations and thus you would not be able to trade on sites such as poloniex.com, see https://www.inverse.com/article/40144-binance-bitlicense-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-exchange-new-york-city

2) I don't know enough about this, but i don't think anything major about the regulations  of cryptocurrency has changed following his bill.
It seems that there might have been some changes, http://fortune.com/2017/12/21/bitcoin-tax/, but i'm not sure if this even went through.

3) Yes. Poloniex allows you to short with a few markets, it's called margin trading. https://poloniex.com/marginTrading I don't think coinbase nor bittrex offer this, but someone could correct me if i'm wrong.

4) If you want absolutely security and control over your funds, yes, you should. The exchange could be hacked  ( mtgox), or your account.

1930  Other / Meta / Re: Playing with the trust system of this forum - The Pharmacist on: January 20, 2018, 03:54:27 PM
"The Pharmacist" has been recently promoted to DT Member and he is abusing this system to his best. Just see the people he gave trust only today. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=487418)

Previously, DT Members give negative trust to only deserving people who really scam someone and it was too with some reference.

This idiot "The Pharmacist" giving red trust with this lame excuse "This user writes generic, 3rd world shitposts. This pollutes bitcointalk to his benefit exclusively. Should NEVER be paid to post." Lolzzzzzzzzzzz

I understand if bitcointalk was his own forum this would make sense but is he who will tell the person posts are shit or not.  You cannot give a person negative trust just on this generic statement.

Make me a DT member and i will give negative trust to the whole forum Users  Grin  Funny Isn't it ?

I think the admin of the forum should note this abuse of trust system by him and Remove his DT power back.
Other DT members like Lunda / Yahoo etc  are doing good job and only giving Negative feedback to the bad people but the "The Pharmacist" is just lol....

I just had the same problem with "the parmachist" he gave be negative trust blaming me for posting garbage. Is he a scam? As I saw many inappropriate posts invloving foul lauagage. I am very surprise that he got a lengendary status and such high trust score base on his false accusation. If I am signed up for a bounty, the bounty manger is responsible for validating wheather the posts are valid or not. Well, I'm utterly surprised that I found he is scamming others as well.

Legendary status has nothing to do with how trustworthy someone is.

Quote
such high trust score base on his false accusation

Also, he isn't really making an "Accusation", rather a statement that he does not trust you. Anybody can do that.

Quote

That still doesn't mean that he can't have an opinion on it.

I'm curious how you came to this conclusion. Care to explain?

You think your posts are good but
If i were a DT member , i would have Red trust you for this post with this reason :"This user writes generic, 3rd world shitposts. This pollutes bitcointalk to his benefit exclusively. Should NEVER be paid to post"

As i think you post Shit.

Same is being done by the "The Pharmacist" ..

I guess he should consider himself lucky thar you aren't a DT member then..  Roll Eyes

1931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Paying bitpay invoice issue on: January 20, 2018, 03:21:03 PM
So bitpay recently changed their payment protocol making it impossible for me to pay bitpay invoices by sending a direct payment to the address through my blockchain wallet. However, I read on the internet bitpay is doing this and blocking vpn payments so they can see your IP address. Is there a work around for me to pay off a bitpay invoice without revealing my IP?

I'm not sure what the problem could be, but i always use a VPN when doing transactions with them, and i never had a problem. I just tested it again while connected to PIA, and all the adress and balances to send to X adress showed perfectly fine. Which VPN are you using?

Could you maybe post some sort of screenshots of the problem you are facing?
Also, i'm pretty curious where you read that they are blocking payments coming from people using VPN's.

Have you actually tried using VPN to access their payment protocol? What's to prevent you from using a remote machine?
I did, and it worked perfectly fine ?

1933  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Great Bitcoin Ad Network that you've used? on: January 20, 2018, 01:46:02 PM
Hello, wanted to promote some affiliate programs with Ad network in the crypto space

Any great network that you guys mind to share?

- High Quality Traffic
- Non Bot Traffic
- Great price/Conversion

Thanks

I'd say that if you want absolute top-notch traffic, the only bitcoin-related adnetwork that can really provide that is https://cointraffic.io/, they actively keep track of their publishers, and advertise on sites such as coinmarketcap.com, BUT, they're pretty expensive, and i'm not sure how easy it would be to start a campaign with them.

Or you chould choose to buy banner ads on http://mellowads.com, and then only buy from the high level domains, but never use their direct advertising method where your bitcoin gets divided over all their sites, as they have a lot of sites i suspect use clickbots and viewbots.

Those are the main and basically the only two ad networks with crypto traffic

ref links aren't allowed on the forum.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Accidently send USDT to BTC address on: January 20, 2018, 01:39:14 PM
This a very sad scenario for me, i believe there's no remedy for this but in some exchange i believe there will be errors if you are putting a wrong address ex : if the situation suggest a mew add then you put a bitcoin add. a red text will be appearing saying that it's an invalid address. in your case if the transaction is generated i believe there's no way to retrieve your money.

That's the point. It's not a wrong adress. USDT / BTC adresses are generated in the same way, so these adresses are valid on both chains.

Quote
n your case if the transaction is generated i believe there's no way to retrieve your money.

Not true. As users above already stated, Binance can choose whether or not to refund you, since they have access to the private key of the wallet the transaction was heading to. It simply depends on their cross-chain recovery policy if they're willing to do so.

It seems that this could take months on their platform, https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003798612-Deposit-Sent-wrong-coins

I've send an email to the adress specified in above post about me willing to do some translation services a couple days ago, but i have yet to even hear if my email was received?

I was wondering if/when we will get a reply? Only people who are accepted? It hasn't been very clear to me.

Anyway, the website is going live today, so i guess i'll see if anything becomes clear after that. I don't think you needed translators for the website itself in the first place, right?

1936  Economy / Reputation / Re: why negative trust on: January 20, 2018, 12:00:16 PM
Hi
Today when I joined the forum and went to check my profile to look at posts, I was surprised by negative points in the trust.

The posting that references negative trust, I posted a thought I have about what the topic title is.

say:
* the desire to get rich was the inceptive for people to use bitcoin

is reason for me to gain negative confidence (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1553984.msg27800557#msg27800557)

or did I gain negative confidence because (*) had already been commented on in another post? if so, it's hard for me to know, because when I posted, there were 189 pages, and I did not read them all, but the few I read, I did not find.

Anyway, I m very sad!

First off, you have no "negative" points in your trust history, as the user who gave it is not a member of DT2+, which means it won't do anything to your score for most people viewing your profile.

Quote

Chances are indeed extremely high that what you've posted has already been said over and over and that you just remixed/rephrased someone else's post. Could be unintentionally aswell ofcourse..

But, i don't think that's the reason you got the trust rating, nor was it that post alone that did it, but rather the entirety of your post history being pretty low-quality non contributing posts. That was just a primal example.
1937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Inquiry - Mining is Legal in Saudi Arabia? on: January 20, 2018, 11:48:54 AM
hi guys, i am base in Saudi Arabia, i'd like to know if it is allowed to do mining bitcoin in Saudi Arabia?
any members from Saudi?

It looks like there currently aren't any rules against it, see this article for example, ( although this is primarily about ICO's, i am pretty sure it applies to mining aswell) https://news.bitcoin.com/saudi-central-bank-says-cryptocurrency-industry-is-not-mature-enough-to-warrant-regulation/

However, i'm not sure if it could be seen as "halal" or would be appropriated in your religion. I guess this is also primarily opinion-based, and i don't think anyone could answer that for you.

You should ask this question on its official thread for web wallet isroil

why there?
Technical assistance in this section on

Because this has absolutely nothing to do with "Bitcoin" Technical support, but rather that of an altcoin i've never heard of.

None of us probably know how it works, what it is running on etc, thus making it pretty useless to ask for help here.

Trusting you is impossible for investors and you are just a low rank.
Disagreed. Trust does not depend on forum rank. In fact, anyone can buy a legendary profile on Bitcointalk. So, trusting a business according to forum rank of the business owner would be an utterly foolish action. You must check how long the business is operating and whether there is any valid allegation against the business owner.

I dont have any bitcoin address posted on this forum and I created this account using an imaginary email ID. So, I cant recover this in usual way. I tried to contact the current owner through PM. But it says...
User 'Victor Beckham' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. You should post in their relevant thread to remind them to enable this setting.

I don't think there's any way for you to recover your account, without a signed message from a staked adress.

However you might be able to convince the mods to lock your account if you would be able to sign a message from an adress that is included in this transaction -> https://blockchain.info/tx/ef1d0959fe96acb0a475f0bec1710af549f3e2b7b9e8d766a970f94bf1b93fea

Not sure if Bitcoin cash supports multisignature adresses, (I've read somewhere that there were some problems with it?), but if this not the case then you are correct.. Whoever is controlling the private key ( BitGo), can refund but chooses not to probably if it's under a certain amount. It would simply be too much effort for them, due to how their system archictecture is implemented or whatever might be the reason.

This is pretty normal. ( Although i wouldn't say it is justified, but it is your mistake afterall.) Bittrex for example will only recover your bitcoin cash if the amount is greater than 5000$. https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000961172-Bittrex-s-Crosschain-Recovery-Policy
