Do you already get replies on your suggestions through PM? Smiley Is there anyone who will be glad to exchange with you 22 Merits?
It is not impossible at all to gain merits. To someone it is going fast and to other ones slow. It is out of my target to grow higher on the forum, so I could send to one of your posts a Merit or two, but I will not. Just do not like beggars like you are Tongue

Just like you received 8 merits for a post in a mega spam thread , where you typed some stuff in extremely broken english  Roll Eyes, Which you conveniently received a couple days after you merited the user who merited you, greeklogo's, for this post,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2855783.msg30077370#msg30077370.

Hmmm. It sure goes fast when you trade it out with your friend huh? No way that anyone would ever merit that post with 8 merits unless he would know you.
1682  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buy BTC with no fees, while helping the Crypto community evolve on: April 07, 2018, 10:29:03 AM
Lamium.io is a decentralized invoice/bill payment platform specifically designed so that BTC users can put their Bitcoin (Satoshis) to real-life use by paying their bills such as;

- Rent / Mortgage
- Utilities
- Mobile & landline
- Anything else where you receive an invoice/bill that you can upload

Lamium is a Finnish based company providing real value and a real service to the Bitcoin (Crypto) community. We have a huge overflow of people wanting to use the platform for bill payments & not enough volunteers (or partners) looking to help out with the process.

Join the community... What's the benefit for you?

--> Purchase or sell BTC @ 0% commission (spot pricing off of Kraken)
--> Aiding in the real-life adaption of Crypto use cases

Let's setup a Skype time to discuss the details.

1) Msg us here with your Skype info and best date & time to reach you on it
2) Msg our business developer on Telegram @Rodikmik
[/b]

I'm confused.

So what happens is that i pay you, in bitcoin, the equivalent of what my bills would cost in fiat, you then transfer that bitcoin to fiat and go to my service provider and pay my bills? Huh?
It seems extremely far-fetched to me, or am i missing something?

Also, what is that about the refferal thing? You charge me no fee, but you do pay out your refferals 0.5%.

Which means you'll be running a loss? Huh

Good advertising network to use. i'm using it as both Publisher and Advertiser. making $500+ monthly from some Ad spaces. and having perfect results when i advertise time to time. Very easy to use and always paying on time.

Payment proof: https://prnt.sc/j22uef
Total cashouts passed $3150 : https://prnt.sc/j22un7

network url :
https://adclerks.com/

What exactly does a screenshot prove? No one is able to validate the transaction ID and for all i know you just element inspected it.

I have heard some good things about adclerks some time ago, but i never knew you'd be able to earn this much. What kind of site did you get these earnings from? Can't be a faucet right? ( Or you must have really high CTR)

I used to run a faucet myself with mellowads & all but that didn't came near to anything that you are earning.
1684  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cost of getting a coin listed on: April 05, 2018, 01:37:07 PM
John McAfee recently revealed that he charges $105,000 per promotional tweet, cryptocurrency exchanges charging anywhere between $1 to 3 million to list tokens seems like a discount. Liquidity is crucial for a token's success and some exchanges are simply capitalizing on it, there is money to be made and they are making it. Even if a token has no real utility, getting listed on a prominent exchange with a big liquidity pool somewhat makes the project successful even though the demand is artificial. Spending to get a token listed on exchanges is an integral part of ICO marketing, but yeah this amount does seem a bit unfair for ICO projects with real utility, apart from listing fees exchanges do also rake in transaction and withdrawal fees. Comparison, IPO/traditional equity exchanges, $125-300K, interesting.

Major exchanges have specific guidelines for adding new tokens, and a few doesn't charge anything, only legitimacy, long-term potential matters, but yeah then there are exchanges that would add any coin because they are getting paid for it. I guess, decentralized exchanges and more projects like Cobinhood would eventually balance out the power between exchanges and crypto projects.

Here's the link, https://next.autonomous.com/thoughts/crypto-exchange-listing-fees

I'd say that indeed really depends on the exchange you want to get listed on. I know that a few lower volume exchanges like coinexchange and cryptopia didn't charge nearly as much to list your coin, not sure how they have set it up nowadays though.

I saw the developer of Viacoin joking about how he already paid a fee for the listing on binance ( here, https://twitter.com/RNR_0/status/977676436093001728)

although i'm unsure how much it was.
1685  Other / Meta / Re: Overall I'm quite happy with the forum on: April 04, 2018, 05:55:33 PM
I do not think everybody is pretty negative about the forum. Shitposters are, of course, but I think the good members of this community are fairly happy with the merit system, and their criticism only looks to improve it.

merit will improve the forum, its starting already. Once all managers of campaigns and bounties start using merit as an entry requirement then the shitposters will have no way of earning.
Or normal users for that matter.

I'm really afraid that merit is not going to scale well, and that only 0.1% is going to be able to rank up, which means this forum will see a lot less activity. I'm still unsure whether i think that's a good thing, or a bad thing.

17800 merit a month, or 26700 if everything is distributed twice, (or 31200 if you distribute it thrice)

Is roughly what, 30/60 Hero ranks each month? On a forum with over 3 million registered members? We're really scaling down here.

And that's just theorethical. Over the last few months we've seen how many users exactly rank up? 10? 30?
1686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New rank up system? on: April 01, 2018, 06:58:15 PM
Yes, could someone please tell me what do all these categories mean? Will they contribute in building up our merit in anyway?

They're just a meme. None of it is factually calculated, but rather randomly generated based on your rank, i don't think they'll contribute to anything.

really don't know is it just for 1st april or real.. better to wait for 2-3 days until it get cleae. but don't know how is going to work. hope it will help for community if it real

It isn't. I'm 99.99% sure it's an april fool's prank, and that it will probably be removed pretty soon again.

As Bitfort already stated, you can read more about it here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3232693.0
1687  Other / Meta / Re: Account recovery. on: March 31, 2018, 05:41:39 PM
Cant any admin help me out on recovering my lost account? I have sent messages to 3 admins (cyrus, hilariousandco, theymos) and its been like a month now that I had 2 of them totally ignoring me and one negative answer telling me to contact the other two.. What am I supposed to do? Sorry if this is not the right thread to post this.

Did you send them a PM with a signed message from an adress that you staked somewhere on your profile?

If you're not sure what i mean, take a look at this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

an adress that is "associated" with your account is usually an adress that you posted somewhere that has been either been quoted, (or is still on your profile?).

There's a good guide on how to sign adresses here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

If you link me the profile you're trying to recover i might be able to help, if you'd like.
1688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which is best destop wallet for bitcoin ?? on: March 31, 2018, 03:43:29 PM
Now i am only use coinbase and blockchain wallet but i want to about destop wallet  and use it.So anybody help me please and give me correct direction?

If you are looking for a wallet that supports only bitcoin, you should check electrum out. Why I say this? Because it offers many advanced features as lightweight wallet, this means that you don't have to download blockchain in order to use it, it is more secure than blockchain.info and coinbase alltogether and on top of that electrum supports SegWit & LN network so if other people have wallet that supports LN you can send fast transactions with low fees.

https://electrum.org/#

I don't use Electrum wallet ever. Do you please provide me it features and advantages. Actually, I am searching a very high security, high-speed transaction, and low transaction fee hardware wallet. And somebody advises me to use Electrum like you. Please help me to find out the best hardware wallet.

*sigh*, why did someone bump this 3 month old thread..

Anyway, if you're looking for a "very high security, high-speed transaction, and low transaction fee hardware wallet." then there are basically 2 choices, the Trezor and the Nano Ledger S.

Simply google them to find the key differences between them. Also, whether your transaction has high fees/is confirmed fast has almost nothing to do with the wallet software itself, but rather the state of the mempool and what fees are considered "low" to you.
1689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i cannot get coinbase to verify my photo ID, no matter how hard i tried on: March 31, 2018, 01:09:51 PM
if this is not the best place to ask for help, should i try craigslist vegas? i doubt any of the readers of craigslist are smart enough to even know what coinbase is or have a coinbase account, or know what bitcoin is. its basically only used to find hookers. i might find one person in need of $100 bad enough to try, but i would prefer they be intelligent alot more so than i
So let me get this straight, you want to pay someone to verify your coinbase ID with their photo/driver's license etc, for 100$? I really, really don't think that's allowed by coinbase TOS, and if it is, it would still be an extremely dumb thing to do for both parties involved.

He could later claim identity fraud, which might cause you to lose your account/money, and you could launder money using his ID, which can cause him to be criminally charged.

I don't see why anyone would do this?

Or do you simply want someone else's camera to make a picture? for 100$?  I'm confused.

We provide the best service with very cheap rates guys. check out the rate then take service.

Looks interesting.
Are your youtube views coming from real people or bots? 0.4$ per 1k for real people seems pretty cool, but it doesn't state anywhere that it is actually from real people. ( As you do with other services?)

Also, are you giving out vouch copies or bonuses on first deposit, or not? Might make it a bit more interesting for me to try it out, let me know.
1691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Post Activity Will not help to rank up? on: March 31, 2018, 10:44:15 AM
How do I get merit in that case? Thanks!

By writing constructive, high-quality posts - at least such is the idea. Your posts will be given merits by other members of the forum.

Now i think its really hard to be promoted because of this merit.I think they are controlling the people who are making a lot of multiple accounts.

Yes, fighting spam and account farmers is mentioned as the main reason.
Show me how to give merits to others and can I give merits to other while I'm just Newbie ? Thanks

You can't if you have not ever received merits ( unless you were Member+ i think when the system got introduced, which gave you like 2 sMerit(?)).

You'll first need to receive 2 merits yourself, which nets you 1 sMerit ( every merit counts for .5 sMerit) that you can send to any constructive post you'd like by simply clicking the "+Merit" button.
1692  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Check It Out. on: March 30, 2018, 06:15:48 PM
So, First things First, I know that a lot of you wouldn't even care about this thing but still I wanna know something.

Besides from the PRODIGY Member Of This Year (nullius) Who among us have already passed the Member Rank ever since the Merit System has been implemented? Are there still others like nullius have already make to FULL MEMBER RANK with the current system or its just that the geniuses of this forum are only allowed to make it through that position?
It's sad that many newbies are whining all over sa BCT but as we know that the current system is still fair and ranks are reachable then there would be no worries about in the future.
So let us have a proof that there are someone else who already passed the hardships on getting merits for the FULL MEMBER Rank.

The answer is probably, yes. Take a look at the top merited users over here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusersat

I'm pretty sure that TheQuin went from Sr Member to Hero, (earned 254 merit), see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=143168

There's a few more which ranked up aswell probably in the Jr-Sr category, just go through the list.

But, i have to confess, for such a big forum ( over 3 million members), these numbers are indeed pretty small.
1693  Other / Meta / Re: How hard it is to Rank up? on: March 30, 2018, 02:54:23 PM
I think all of the newbies here will answer “really really hard”...

Let me tell you something. I started joining bitcointalk ever since this new merit system was implemented. So you can probably call me as one of the “lucky” ones starting with zero merits in our pockets. The key is to research well, learn about how the world of crypto works, and learn how the system here works. By then I wasn’t that sure that I have a future here, but here I am now.

My rank is not that high, but let me tell you something. For each time you rank up, you will be so proud of yourself and so excited to get to the next rank. And everything else will follow. With this merit system, you will strive to learn, research, and create quality posts for the benefit of the community. Yes it’s hard to earn merits, but it will mold you to strive for your best.

Instead of crying about how hard the new merit system is for the newbies, why not make it a strength for you to strive. That’s what i did. Good luck newbies, don’t give up. I’m so happy I was able to get this far. I just got ranked up today as a member, but as of now I still call myself a newbie, that’s what strives me to work hard here.

It's funny cause you're actually doing the exact opposite of these people which are "begging for merits", but are indirectly by "not begging for merits" hoping that you get merits. Honestly it seems a bit hypocritical to me, all these posts that you're making.

Why else would you keep hammering on "earning" merit?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3032044.msg31186281#msg31186281
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3004840.msg30899965#msg30899965
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3003801.msg30899454#msg30899454

It seems that you've done a pretty good job so far earning your merits by high-horsing people who are indirectly begging for merit. Oh wait..  Wink
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run coin's daemon at VPS server? on: March 30, 2018, 11:54:17 AM
So after I made coin at local virtualbox's ubuntu, compiled,

qt wallet program run well in local,

so I uploaded only daemon file to VPS server's root folder's inside coin folder.

but when I run ./mycoind

it just stop a while and later spit out error of

bool InitBlockIndex(): Assertion  'hash == hashGenesisBlock' failed?
Aborted

Why and how to fix?

Did you create a genesis block? If so, there is something wrong with your merkle root ( or it simply spits this error because there is no hash), if not, then there's probably something wrong with your genesis block. ( It's not matching hash/ merkle root)

If you haven't created the genesis block ( or created it wrongly, (which i think is the error here)), try to follow something along these lines, https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/21328

hello @all

where is my user ID?

Right click your account name, and look behind the profile;u=, which is your userID.

In your case, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1987696, 1987696 is your userID.
Please, in the future, refrain from posting such questions as they can easily be googled by yourself..

1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pow and Pos. on: March 30, 2018, 10:08:28 AM
why the system using blockchain need them, PoW,PoS?
Because you want to  have "cryptographical" proof  of your transactions being valid (or rather "work") and those of other people, which is what PoW accomplishes.
A more detailed answer can be found here, https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/51296

With POS you have collateral backing up your transaction ( or rather the blockchain), which also creates consensus and thus a way for users to trust the system. ( Since that is the ultimate goal ( being able to place trust in a decentralized system))

1697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Short trading, Altcoins (top ~25) on: March 29, 2018, 04:08:23 PM
Hello

Hello, I am interested in short trading lets say top 20-25 coins. Is there any good site that allow me/help me with that? I mean platform for investing, something like gdax for bitcoin. Any ideas?

Thank you very much for your time

I'm not sure. I don't think binance supports margin trading (yet), and neither does bittrex?

Poloniex does support margin trading for 9/10 big coins ETH/XRP/LTC/ etc, see https://poloniex.com/marginTrading#btc_eth where you will also have the option to short.

However i'd say that the volume on poloniex is pretty low, and their account verification policy is really bad compared to binance for example ( you'll need to provide verification no matter what amount you're gonna trade)

If you just want to margin/short bitcoin you could use something like bitmex, where you can leverage up to x100.

Im looking for most convenient way for swing trading, holding position for few days, maybe week or two, rather than daytrading for altcoins, any ideas about that? What would be the most convenient way to do this?
I think any popular exchange will do.

Binance/Bittrex/Polo all have no restrictions on how long you need to keep a coin, and (especially) binance has really good volume which means you'll almost always will be able to sell.

(If that's what you mean).

Quote
How do you level up in membership?

By having the necessary requirements ( lower levels it's activity only, but you will also need merit if you want to rank up further down the road ( Jr member+).

Quote
whats merits?

A reward for making a good/constructive post, (usually). They're a requirement to "level" up as explained above.

Quote
does the limit of post get slower or faster the more you post?
The wait time between posts decreases if your rank increases.
There was a formula for it somewhere but i can't remember exactly where. It basically has nothing to do with the amount of posts you have, but rather your rank.

1700  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: From new registration to activity of 14 in half a day. on: March 27, 2018, 05:02:18 PM

You don't seem to understand how the activity system works. You can get 14 potential activity for each period. ( 1  period is roughly 2 weeks), which correlates to about 1 activity per day.

I understand it perfectly, but you don't seem to be able to read and understand a post. My point is that without the restriction of the activity and merit controls, new members could just race ahead and rank up in no time.

Did you check my join time, and my activity. If that doesn't demonstrate an understanding of the activity system, I'm not sure what does. I'm very pro the activity and merit controls, and they are quite clearly having a beneficial effect on the boards. Now if only we can get members to realise that the pursuit of merit is really going to hold them back from realising the potential that membership of this forum can give them.

Again, you don't.

You could have registered an account back in 2011, but that doesn't mean that you can get 2000 activity by the end of the weekend ( if you were able to create 2000 posts), since you'll only have the potential activity for 1 period ( 14). ( Which means you'll only be able to get 14 activity ( although you have 2000 posts).

Quote
Did you check my join time, and my activity

You have 17 posts, 14 activity and was registered: "Date Registered:   Today at 07:55:50 AM"

Quote
If that doesn't demonstrate an understanding of the activity system, I'm not sure what does.

How do these two correlate with each other in the slightest? Huh
