761  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestMixer Signature Campaign | Sr. Members - Legendary | Up to 0.01225BTC on: May 22, 2019, 07:13:16 PM
How could you  have known that they were being investigated by the FEDs... It is not your fault. Thanks for the early pay outs
Never say never...

Perhaps the feds even decided to keep the campaign going, i'm not sure how communications with HHampuz and Bestmixer went, but i have my suspicions that the site has been under control of the FIOD for longer than just today, to collect even more information about customers.
762  Other / Meta / Re: [HACKED] Request to delete my Bitcointalk account on: May 22, 2019, 06:47:44 PM

However, I don't see any legit point why are you thinking to delete your account. If there is something wrong on your post history then you may delete yourself. And you might edit your main post if any. If account just on your control then change pass and mail. So hackers would not able to use it anymore. I don't know why you want to give up!
Perhaps this is his real name and he doesn't want his real name associated with some garbage garbled up by some third-world shitposter.

-- I know i wouldn't, and if i were in a similar scenario, i'd definitely want to delete the account as well. (Or at the very least these religious shitposts.)
Too bad that it isn't up to me.

OP, you could change/edit all your posts with a macro or something, and then report them to a moderator. Pretty sure they'll get deleted that way. Not exactly an easy solution, but i believe there isn't really any other way.
763  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: May 22, 2019, 06:38:30 PM
Bets on who is the next?  Wink

I wouldn't be surprised if it was all of them, but perhaps Bestmixer had particularly gaping holes in how they operated.

If it were me I'd shut up shop. Or at the very least go camping in the woods and see if there are any actual charges brought from this. I can't see any mention of anyone being charged for anything yet.
My guess:

Either Chipmixer was created with this scenario in mind -- "bulletproof" so to speak (hence why they haven't been taken down yet,
(because lets be real, Chipmixer is way bigger than Bestmixer.io)

Which means they're probably chilling somewhere in the Seychelles, or some other country where they can't just raid their servers as they did with Bestmixer.

If they're not, i wouldn't be surprised if they're going to close their doors sooner rather than later. I know i probably would too. (Even if what you're doing isn't illegal. These "Shoot first ask questions later" agencies are at some point not worth messing around with anymore..)

Or.. perhaps Chipmixer has already fallen..  Roll Eyes
764  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 📣📣📣 [ANN] 👉 BESTMIXER.IO 👈 THE FUTURE OF BITCOIN MIXING! TECHNOLOGY IS HERE on: May 22, 2019, 06:03:26 PM
How did they manage to get access to letters of guarantee? Weren't they supposed to be deleted 24 hours after transaction got confirmed?

The investigation started last year, I'm guessing like with some darknet markets, the Dutch police decided they'll run the service themselves for a while to glean some information from people using the service. Or they managed to locate bestmixer's servers and install a backdoor.

This is a real possibility - and makes you wonder if Chipmixer isn't already, or hasn't always been ran by some goverment agency.
765  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 📣📣📣 [ANN] 👉 BESTMIXER.IO 👈 THE FUTURE OF BITCOIN MIXING! TECHNOLOGY IS HERE on: May 22, 2019, 05:45:28 PM
How the hell did the prosecutors manage to get the location details?

How did they manage to get access to letters of guarantee? Weren't they supposed to be deleted 24 hours after transaction got confirmed?

I don't want to play the "I told you so" card, as who knows, Chipmixer could be next (or might even be a honeypot by now.), but it has been fairly obvious that Bestmixer.io promised a lot - but failed to deliver on most things.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lied about keeping logs etcetera. (Why.. I don't know.., Gross incompetence?) Afterall, their servers were located in Europe- and seized.

Just as they claimed Chipmixer wasn't working (with some sheer bullshit evidence), Wasabiwallet wasn't working... Coinjoin wasn't working.. But their mixing method was "revolutionary"...
Well, guess what...
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how do i get non-standard mined on: May 22, 2019, 04:56:07 PM
OP be careful when dealing with newbies "offering their help" especially if they have negative trust ratings.
This.

I just read into this a bit more, and it seems that mostly Eligius and F2POOl offered to relay/confirm non-standard transactions.

Eligius seems dead, and i'm not sure if F2POOL still offers this service. (+ You needed a ref link back in those days too, absolutely no idea how this works nowadays, if at all.)

but noone relayed that transaction(except webbtc but that transaction propagated only to 0% of the network) even if I connect bitcoind to only one "68.168.105.168" node which is Eligius it still doesn't relay it.The only one who relayed it was f2pool.com/pushtxWhat is the problem the tx wasn't relayed by anyone. Also how to create OP_TRUE?
how to get a referral code from f2pool? I need to send a non-standard-tx but don't know how to get referral code.

Contact them. Email: admin@f2pool.com

Mind you, this was a long time ago.

Try contacting the person in the quote below.

I don't think would broadcast a non standard transaction like an any-one-can pay transaction
Broadcasting a non-standard transaction isn't hard. It's just that it probably won't get confirmed and no one else would be seeing it.

If you want a non-standard transaction to be confirmed, you would need the participation of the miner. You're better off contacting various mining pools for their help. F2pool[1] accepts non-standard transactions IIRC, but you need to ask macbook-air to get the referral code.

767  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism should remain a zero-tolerance bannable offense on: May 21, 2019, 07:57:46 PM
Me thinks lauda has plagiarized in the past.

If this is true, if the administration is not running the plagiarism bot themselves, the question becomes if the person running the bot is trustworthy enough to report lauda. It would probably be a good idea to have the bot go back and check the 3000+ posts lauda deleted on his alt account and any other alt accounts he has.

768  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are people rushing to buy the IEO at Binance? on: May 21, 2019, 05:18:27 PM
Most of business is just marketing.  Are Air Jordan shoes really worth $200? No it only takes a few dollars to make each pair but all the value comes from advertising.
You're really, really comparing apples and oranges here.

Most of business isn't conducting on marketing/ or gambling, but instead has some fundamental basis for it.

--" Is the marketcap of Shell really 235B $ - yes, they have 388 bil $ worth of revenue each year."

Good technology driven crypto projects will get nowhere without marketing.  Justin Sun isn't a technical genius but he knows how to create hype around tron.
Thus far you're right, still though, i really hope this isn't going to be the case going forward.
769  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are people rushing to buy the IEO at Binance? on: May 20, 2019, 02:14:15 PM
The only reason I could see BTT pumping would be due to the platform being widely known(BitTorrent). As a token though? Ehh. I honestly still don't see the point of using such token on a platform that's actually working well without a token. Also, it's running on Tron.. sooo...

Just the speculation alone is enough to pump it through the roof. The token comes handy in cases where frustrated leechers are looking for peers to seed their stuck torrents, which is quite a nightmare for older torrents, but with a token as reward it will help stimulating peers to show up.

It can also stimulate content creators, artists, developers etc to list their content on BitTorrent for a fair price which might help decrease the large amount of piracy that's happening. Another thing is that you can rent bandwidth from people looking to earn a some money. The token is just an incentive to unlock new possibilities that wouldn't likely be unlocked without it.

There is more potential in BTT than 99% of all the ICO's and IEO's that we have seen.

meh. They could've done all those things without another special "token", using fiat etc...

I highly doubt that... When you think of bittorent, you don't think about artists listing their "Art" -- quite the opposite... Even a 100 mil IEO isn't going to change that image. That's not what bittorent got popular for, and focusing on this definitely doesn't seem like a good idea, considering the competitors in that market. (Which are regulated and have billions of $ in marketcap.. .)

If this BTT token is really the best one out there, the others must really be dogshit.
770  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why are people rushing to buy the IEO at Binance? on: May 20, 2019, 01:57:25 PM
Do you see the IEO on Binance is worthy to buy?

Worthy in terms of project potential? NO! These are just typically the same shitty projects we do see on ICO's.So theres nothing new here.

Worthy in terms of Profit? Maybe! but you would need to be lucky to get in thats why i dont bother on buying into any IEO at this moment. This do looks like a pure gambling to me rather than an investment.

That depends though.

I'm still waiting for the moment companies like Bittorent are going to do an actual IEO -- Where we can buy a piece of their company and thus a share of the profits.

Then things would actually start to become interesting - especially for these grey internet companies who would otherwise never be able to conduct any sort of real IPO. (Although i can foresee these companies still using this as a moneygrab, or a way to cash out.- still, it could be cool.)

I mean, Bittorent has a pretty steady businessmodel, right? they could pay dividends etc.

As for now, yeah, these useless tokens are a complete gamble, and imo, a freaking scam.
771  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITDEER service discussion on: May 17, 2019, 06:51:12 PM
Hi all!
Here is my experiense:
1) I bouth 30TH/s 90Days BTC(SHA256) contract Feb 14, 2019, $127.47, 0.03543304 BTC (included 10 days Electricity Order);
2) I payd electricity orders:
Feb 18 - 10 Days - 30.00 USD - 0.00809201 BTC
Feb 22 - 20 Days - 55.80 USD - 0.01406888 BTC
Feb 28 - 20 Days - 55.80 USD - 0.01458396 BTC
Apr 8   - 20 Days - 52.60 USD - 0.01103462 BTC
Apr 21 - 10 Days - 29.10 USD - 0.00557221 BTC
3) Total contract received from BTC.com pool: 0.10755910 BTC
4) Income: ~50% (clear income 0,01877438, by start invested sum 0.03543304 BTC, because I payd electricity from income mostly)

PS Bitdeer is very risky and can become scum very soon

That's interesting. What was your TH/per th per day cost/series you participated in? The contracts they offer now for 180 days are roughly 0.0716$, I can only imagine that you must've paid far less for 30TH... I guess it makes sense with lower BTC prices.

Code:
$127.47 / 30*90 = 0.04719259259
Damn that's cheap.

Yes i read that, but Bitdeer says that the farms are not in china. but who knows :/
I also think that i can get into loss very fast when the StrongU 660gh's asics will be shipped out. i wonder if anyone here got the first batch i could not find a thread
I'm not sure that those asics will be produced in large enough quantity to disrupt anything.
Also, that is X11, not SHA? https://www.asicminervalue.com/miners/strongu/stu-u6

Furthermore, it seems that Bitdeer is very close to Bitmain and Antpool, which makes it pretty likely that most of their farms ARE in china, right?
772  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New Bitcoin Ad Network on: May 17, 2019, 05:55:24 PM
I don't really see anything that makes this website stand out from the already established ad networks simply by looking at it.

Even worse, you have no traffic, and no reputation as to whether or not you actually weed out all the fake traffic that publishers will generate through their F-tier faucets.

So either your traffic needs to be dirt cheap/or of outstanding quality for advertisers. (dirt cheap is usually garbage, and good quality traffic is going to cost YOU a lot of capital to attract in the form of publishers...)

I don't know... Good luck anyway.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed Transaction: How long it may take? on: May 16, 2019, 08:25:20 PM
Your priority is ~17k.

Which means that you have roughly a transaction with ~ 50 sat/b, if not less. (I'm guessing its even below 50?)

Using https://bitcoinfees.earn.com , that gives a delay of 3-68 blocks.

But i suspect it might be even longer, since average fees are still well above 60 sat/b. (Although they seem to be dropping again, which may mean that they'll actually confirm in the very near future.).

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h

I don't think anyone can actually give a more accurate prediction, other than to tell you to RBF if you want to get your funds confirmed faster. If the mempool drops a bit further, you'll probably see your funds confirming in no-time. If it doesn't well... accelerate maybe?
774  Other / Meta / Re: Please disable Fake ANNs download links , theymos ! on: May 16, 2019, 06:55:01 PM
Code:
raw.githubusercontent.com

Is part of github (?)

Links from newbies shouldn't be clickable, and users posting links to viruses should get banned once reported.
E:-- Actually, links from newbies are clickable. Huh. Perhaps that would be a good solution; Users who are actually interested in a newbie's content, will simply copy the link, and spammers&scammers will have a much harder time getting clicks from unaware visitors through newbie accounts.

Though i never visit the ANN section, so i have no idea if this problem is that big that another measure against newbies is warranted for.

I don't exactly see the reason why the domain should be blacklisted though.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Should I make the jump to segwit? on: May 16, 2019, 06:50:57 PM
Did all of Antimaxwellians comments just disappear?

I mean, I'm all for removing spam, but this just destroys the entire dialogue and thread as a whole...

Come on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

edit: Or did he remove them all himself?

what the hell, didn't he have like 300 posts? Looking at his post history, seems like something in him snapped.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Should I make the jump to segwit? on: May 15, 2019, 07:18:48 PM
I moved away from legacy a long time ago, but I've recently started moving away from nested SegWit to native SegWit. I haven't used a service that doesn't recognize native SegWit in quite some time, and I figure that if I do need to in the future, it is trivial to create a nested SegWit address to receive the coins and then re-route them to my a native SegWit address.

SegWit adoption does seem to have "got stuck" around the 40-45% mark

https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-segwit-adoption/

based on this, it seems to be tending in the 30s range.
maybe you have a different chart.

https://transactionfee.info/charts/payments/segwit
Shows 43% of total transactions being segwit..

And so does https://segwit.space
777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Should I make the jump to segwit? on: May 15, 2019, 07:03:59 PM
Has it been long enough where I can safely move all my coins from legacy to segwit wallets to save on fees or is the adoption not as widespread as I think it now is?

I show 140,000 approx txs per day. Is that what you thought it was?

More so adoption for services and exchanges and whatever else. As that is about 40% of the network is segwit.
I think almost all, if not all services by now support nested segwit (and i'm pretty sure have always done so in the past since 3.. adresses were also used as multisig.)

As for BC1, well, there are some services which have problems detecting these payments, (I'm looking at you G2A, & some random mixers), but overall it hasn't really been a problem for me personally.
You could always safely switch to use nested segwit first and make the jump to native later.
778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: way to find out what p2p port a network uses? on: May 15, 2019, 06:15:48 PM
I think this is possible, i'm pretty sure someone must've shared some in the past..

-- This link spreadsheet for example: Take a look. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10gVdwVX6MURdxptZfjh393t0qCpCseXnf2zZdx9IKR0/edit#gid=0

I'm not sure how accurate it still is, but it might be of some use.

It looks pretty outdated though.  Sad

It doesn't include a lot of coins, in which case you either need to, as Brew suggested, look at their github, or try googling their port numbers..
Monero for example; https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/604/what-ports-does-monero-use-rpc-p2p-etc
779  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitdeer - Experiences? on: May 15, 2019, 04:59:34 PM
Here's a discussion that went on in January where jackg gave there contract a go. Might help.
Thanks, i'll definitely give that a read, and look into them a bit further to make sure things check out before deciding anything.

I can't say I never did try out one of there contracts, despite the bonus offers they had previously.
So,, you're saying you've never used them?  Tongue Or...?
780  Economy / Services / Re: I will find for you any lost or stolen phone ! on: May 14, 2019, 07:13:44 PM
Still wait for the first customer Cool
Perhaps you could give out a vouch to cabalism to establish your service?

I don't think anyone is just going to give you 10$ out of the blue without services/proof of services rendered.

Anyways, even if this service that you're offering is legit, (which i highly doubt), you're probably breaking a dozen laws, + your contract if you're working at a carrier.
