I have never thought that insurance is a way of saving money.
You can also try:
1) make FDs
2)avoid unnecessary shopping
3)Avoid use of credit cards

Agree with you for credit cards as we use it to max limit find difficulty in settling that..also like to include few more:
Invest on gold/btc...
Invest on Estate business which will give huge profit...
deposit in bank and forget that you have it....

i find investing as the best way of saving my money and at the same time making more of it.
so i have always tried to either invest in some business or buy things that have value like Gold,... and since i have found out about bitcoin i have been investing in bitcoin.

use of credit cards is probably the best and easiest ways to save money. in addition we can also carry it with ease. if bitcoin has issued a credit card in the world, it may be very much use

Credit cards will give you the feeling of comfortable purchase without realizing that you've been spending too much money because all you have to do is swipe and swipe without taking out money from your pocket. Not a best to save money if you are really into saving goal. In my case, we still use credit card in our house but it's not included for saving the money purposes lists.

It really depend on the people life style they are with,if you are born rich then saving might be hard for you but if you are born with just a significant amount of money in your family then saving money wont be hard for you.

Gambling will not be able to save you money it will only take away your savings,better not do any form of gambling and just save your money and use it to something useful.

It creates a form of addiction to most people, which extends that loss further until they learn to break that addiciton.

There many ways to save money. Don't go with impulse buying,you may be buying something but after some time you may sell at lower price since you di not actually need it. As one of the tip to save differentiante first the meaning of BUY and WANTS.Before you spend your hard earned cash you may ask yourself, Do I NEED it? You buy because you need it, not you want it

On the other hand, set a budget and lists of expenses. You may be surprise that most your expenses goes to unnecessary this etc. Its a good start in saving.

And I think investing in property is also a good option.

the only thing that you need to do in order to be able to save up money is to learn "Money Management techniques" that is all to it.
it might seem simple but i assure you it is not simple at all and requires a lot of planning for different expenses and how to cut unnecessary ones and how to earn more and more efficiently.

I have a broad and fixed plan for saving the money goal but while engaging in that kind of activity, some of the pointers are not managed properly due to unexpected event even you have reserve funds for your emergency funds.

but, in reality we frequently a lot unexpected needs. such as hospital costs, accidents, donations, and others. Sometimes indeed we can save money, but when there are unexpected needs makes me to postpone saving money 

that is what i called "Money Management techniques".
i know that there is always some kind of unexpected expenses that happen, and none of us have any control over it. but if you are managing your money properly (expenses-savings-investments) then you can dive into your savings or cash out your investments in case of any emergency event.

That's a good idea .. I remember this money management ,we are in control of our expenses ,where or when to use it,just  a separation of income for our different uses of money in life just like what has been said in previous replies. Spend money wisely and take in control.

I think if you save a lot of money or store credit card will be hard for you not to shop. actually if you already have a job you only need to save to be rich dude. and do not extravagant

Free meals are bad if they are abused and you friends might not want to be with you again if you keep doing that,its better to look for a job and know your priorities in life that will help you save money.

Nowadays, many people do not know how to save money. Firstly, we should calculate our income and expenditure. Try to spend money within our limitations. If we start to spend more money than our income, definitely there will be an imbalance and it will may lead to an erratic life. Secondly,we should maintain a proper plan before spending the money.
