I always thought Terrence Mann is a superstar , he's like Leonard when starting, he might become a superstar as he move to the nets, and KP is already a damage goods, great run with the celtics, they could have been a threat to OKC like pacers, celts also get simons from portland they said this guys is a potential superstar lets see when the season start.

I can't believe that they even thinking about trade Jokic. He is maybe the best player Nuggets ever had. Why they want to do that just because of money rules? NBA is become more like business and not sport these days. If they trade Jokic, many fans will be very sad and maybe stop watching. Same with Luka, same with many others. I miss old NBA when players stay longer with teams and fight together. Now it's all contracts, salary cap and big money... Sad time for real basketball fans.

Any sports league, including the NBA, is first and foremost a business and only then a sport. If the Nuggets do have these discussions, it makes sense for them to think about trading Jokic from a business point of view because, at the moment, he is still in his prime and, accordingly, he can be in demand on the market.
But from the fans' side, it's crap when the main player of the team can be traded only because of money.

The NBA has been like this for a long time, now it's a business. There is no management style that cares about basketball quality or makes decisions about teams like before. Everyone talks about player salaries. Who would want to let go of perhaps the best player in the NBA? A name that can single-handedly make a team a champion, you have to want to keep such a player until he retires.
There has to be an agreement on the salary somehow. It wouldn't be expected for Jokic not to want to stay on the team

I saw an article online comparing the parade fan attendance of the Cavaliers and Warriors to OKC's championship celebration. It said that only a few people showed up at OKC’s parade.  You can actually see it in this video. https://www.koco.com/article/thunder-championship-parade-sky-5/65168834

When we are talking about this trade, people do not realize where Rockets were this season. They finished western conference second place, right behind OKC, who became the title winners this season. The problem is that, Rockets faced Warriors, a team that won 4 titles, so the experience of Warriors managed to beat the new and young Rockets.

This reaction and getting Durant looks to be a bit too quick of a decision to me. If they stayed, and kept their players, they could have done better. Look at OKC, they got picks for years, and then they built a team, and then they won the title thanks to staying that young. Rockets could have been the next one, all they had to do was wait. I understand players like VVD or Brooks, they are old, and interchangeable, but players like Green, should be given more years to mature. SGA didn't become SGA overnight.

Only a few? This looks good for me. Also they actually report that "Oklahoma City celebrated the Thunder's first NBA title, with hundreds of thousands of fans lining the streets and Scissortail Park for the championship parade." in this video.

This video show a wide area while in San Francisco/Oakland they were parading through more narrow streets. So it might look different.
Anyway, it doesn't matter how many came or did not come. People have to work.

Slowly the trading season has begun. First with the Orlando trade, now KD, CJM, Porzingis and so on. The hot season has started and will only get more interesting on draft day. Still wondering if Dallas will draft CF or trade the pick or even draft somebody else. With this front office and ownership you actually never know.  Roll Eyes

Yeah bro, I totally agree with what you say. Jokic is not just any player, he is the soul of Nuggets team. Since he come to NBA, he always play with heart and give 100% every game. Now because of some salary cap thing, they thinking to trade him? That sound really unfair. He make Nuggets strong and take them to championship. Why they wanna break something that work good?

I remember old days when players stay in one team for long time. Like Kobe in Lakers, Duncan in Spurs. Now every year big names go different teams just for money or contracts. It's not same feeling anymore. Fans want to feel connection with team, but when players change all time, that connection go away.

If Nuggets trade Jokic, it will not just make team weaker, it will also break hearts of many fans. NBA should care more about basketball and team loyalty, not only money and rules. I really hope Jokic stay and retire as a Nugget. That would be beautiful story.

Yeah, their performaces is good though they've been eliminated by GSW but giving them another year together, chances that they might established good chemistries and be more familiar with how each players will blend along one another. Just need to polished some differences as it's workable if they stay together.

Like what you've said, OKC is a good example that giving players to play togehter might established something and may bring good outcome, though it's more on business side, the trade has been done and we don't know what might the management seen about this trade as they pursue in taking KD to their squad.

Some trade news:

The Atlanta Hawks will get Porzingis and 2nd second-round draft pick.
The Boston Celtics will receive Georges Niang and a second-round draft pick.

The Brooklyn Nets will get Terrance Mann and the 22nd pick in the draft.

What do you think about this?
The Celtics are off-loading because they can't afford to be on the 2nd apron again after that Jayson Tatum injury.

Both Holiday and Porzingis have a contract where they will be paid around $30M each. Since they will not to be that competitive next season, they don't want their draft picks be wasted by being on the 2nd apron. Since they don't want to face the consequences of being in the 2nd apron, and since they know that it's not worth it to keep those huge contract players, they decided to trade them.

Looking at the players, I can't see anybody who won the trade in terms of players, but in terms of contract, the Celtics won because they will not pay a player that inconsistent $32M this upcoming season. Now if I will look though. I will just choose the Brooklyn Nets because Mann is a good defender and that 22nd pick in the NBA draft might be something good for them.

What do you think?
Who cares? Cheesy

What's important is they're champions. Doesn't matter if the attendance is fewer than that of other teams who won a title a few seasons ago.

If they trade Jokic for sure Nuggets will be finish and it will take many years again for their team to win a championship. I guess they provably won't do this dumb decision not unless if they want payment cut and try to eliminate Jokic because they don't want to pay him more bigger contracts in future.

Also if they trade Jokic for sure Nuggets fans would gonna hate their team and provably they boycott them especially that Jokic bring the first championship on their team.

But so far they didn't really want to trade Jokic they just made up those conclusion maybe they want to know what will be the reaction of people regarding on this idea.

There was just a comparison, and yeah, the Cavaliers and GSW had a much bigger crowd compared to what we saw there. But maybe the author was a bit biased and only showed the part where fewer people were gathered. Could be taken out of context too, we don’t really know the full picture.

Slowly the trading season has begun. First with the Orlando trade, now KD, CJM, Porzingis and so on. The hot season has started and will only get more interesting on draft day. I think the most interesting trade was KD going to Houston. Looks like he’s still chasing another championship before he finally retires. But for me, I think it’s the wrong team as  they’re a young squad and might lack experience. But I could be wrong too, since OKC was also a young team and they ended up winning a championship. So who knows, maybe it could work out.

NBA has always been a business. That is the reason why the Lakers and the Celtics has way more championships than the rest of the league. These are the potential destinations for the superstars as they are places where NBA have a big market.
If ya'll noticed, LeBron moved to LA after fulfilling his dreams of winning multiple championships in Miami and giving the Cavs there first ever championship. He's part of the business. Luka may have not seen the bigger picture yet, but eventually he will, so we will most likely not going to see him move anywhere.
If Jokic will get traded, he will most likely going to land in either of the California teams or New York. Though trading him is actually a no brainer, but it's the owner who allegedly tossed the idea of trading him.

Is that a big deal? Just take it with a grain of salt.

Besides, I checked the link you shared, and could you please clarify what you mean by "few"? I saw many people out there.

If you saw someone or something comparing the parade fan attendance of an NBA Champion, they are just making a random topic lol.

The hate on this team is too much since many casual basketball fan is criticizing every aspect of OKC championship celebration due to their butthurt feelings.

OKC has low fanbase since most of their star players is just new and not that popular.

Even the ring discussion now online is a big deal and comparing it to worst than bubble ring. They categorized it as hospital ring due to injuries of players yet every Playoffs and Finals run injury is a common scenario. There’s no acceptance on casual fan of the sports so I’m tired on reading every hate topic.

FYI I’m not even an OKC fan.

I saw an article online comparing the parade fan attendance of the Cavaliers and Warriors to OKC's championship celebration. It said that only a few people showed up at OKC’s parade.  You can actually see it in this video.

What do you think?
Who cares? Cheesy

What's important is they're champions. Doesn't matter if the attendance is fewer than that of other teams who won a title a few seasons ago.

The big talk yesterday was that the Spurs were going to trade for Porzingis to pair with Wemby to both teach him a thing or two about being a unicorn, and also providing a monster sized front court for the Spurs to go with their young backcourt.  Probably good for the league that Porzingis instead got sent to Atlanta, where he will languish away for the rest of his career...  Not so great for Porzingis but like you mentioned, he's cashing some pretty long checks so I doubt he is too broken up about it.

I don't think so, that's just a hateful post and article. I saw the videos of SGA moving to the crowd of fans that have awaited them. There were kids on the parade as well.

Maybe that shot was taken prior to the parade attendance and that's why there were no people from the beginning. I don't know, but I've seen videos that SGA and the other players enjoyed and shared with the people and it's a bunch.

Imagine that a team that has got their new title, I don't think that the people are like that to boycott it.

Dallas did the same thing with Luka, they traded him because they didnt want to give a max contract for him,so far them its better to get the best draft picks and rebuild the team from the ground. Denver is probobly thinking of doing the same, because if they trade Jokic they will want to rebuild their team from the ground, but it will take a lot of years to do so,so i dont know if its a smart decision for them

The drop in NBA viewership could be one of the main reasons here. Teams might not be getting the kind of revenue they were expecting when they signed players to huge contracts. That’s probably why they’re starting to drop big deals and instead try to rebuild, sign players in a way that if one leaves, it won’t hurt the entire team because they still have enough cap space to bring in another star. Even the news about the sale of Lakers franchise, I believe is the team with the most championships in NBA history could be a sign that the business trend in the league is going down.
