Would be ironic of Trezor was the one promisiing two weeks, and BFL ended up shipping their wallet first.

maybe, but I do not trust the BFL wallet Wink

Have you seen it though? It's a damn smartphone O.o
And you can be safe in knowing that if a hacker ever steals your bitcoins, the earliest they'll get them is in two weeks.

http://www.bitcointrezor.com/news/2014-02-10-trezor-metallics-delivery-update
metal model delay confirmed on website.

@slush,
- to what extend does that influence the plastic versions?
- can I add an additional plastic trezor to my preorder delivery?
- what would it cost?
This. And what Rassah mentioned about the plastic ones shipping in early February. Again, why haven't the plastic ones shipped?

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

I think this is now a chicken egg problem.

This is very cool.
In the serie almost human they live in the year 2140 or something.
And the worldwide currency are bitcoins.
And In the series they pay with a simmilair divice, a little smaller.
But still looks a bit like it, Great work.

An answer regarding my refund request would be nice. I know you think you dont have to give a refund but you are wrong. If there is no answer of you (or your company or whoever) in the near future i will consider to employ a lawyer.

Near end oft February. No news.
It's like all Bitcoin start ups. First a lot of press releases, promises.. And if something goes wrong (which fault I won't say) no communication.

Like. Mtgox, butterfly..

Do you really want to be like these.

( I personally believe in mtgox on back but communication is a mess like in tread project )

I really thought of my Trezor purchase as more of a donation to a cool project than a typical product purchase. So, I'm happy with having "donated" my bitcoins to the Trezor project even if it fails (so long as they help the next guys along build a new, working Trezor).

My biggest worry about Trezor right now is not about getting my money's worth, but rather having a society where bitcoins are safe for everyone. C'mon Trezor guys... my grandma is counting on you guys to get to the finish line!

I told somehigh value people about Bitcoin Trezor. They find it too much of a hassle to buy BTC because of the security issues. They are litterally waiting to get their hands on a hardware wallet and then get into bitcoin. I told them in january the deadline would be februari and then they could order, and now I need to tell them I can not show the trezor yet.

Update? Smiley

Bfl sold miners, that you need to receive on time to make money
Trezor is a wallet, the timeline is not so important.

Really, I don't think there is things to compare between bfl and Trezor.

sure, Trezor is not time important. But the Communication is the same.

I can wait longer for a good product Smiley

You know you'll only get the dollar-value at time of payment, right?

same here

I'm willing to bet it wont fail. So the pussies here can hedge their purchases.

It's not about speed to market, it's about security. I'd rather wait a little longer and have a satisfactory fully functional product than receive something half-baked insecure "on time".

Everyone up in arms currently about trezor missing the deadline again: calm down, do some yoga or other meditation.

Agreed. I think people are projecting their chronic late-mining-hardware angst onto this project, but it's a completely different scenario. Nobody's losing revenue or missing an ROI target because these are getting a bit more polished. Relax...

Of course, I eagerly look forward to receiving mine!

Every month that passes without a Trezor is a month I'm worried my mom will lose her bitcoins.
