Lewis is back on the first podium!
Again a disastrous strategy from Ferrari... And Leclerc whining from the start of the race because Vettel wasn't go slow so as Leclerc can overtake. Such an unprofessional behavior from him.

Ferrari strategy didn't make sense today. Seb had great start, he was fastest on track and Ferrari still were asking him to pass Charles when Vettel already had 2 seconds advantage. It's pathetic. Why Vettel would need to waste time and do this?.
And Hamilton was very lucky today when he got free pit stop thanks to VSC which let him to return to track in front of Ferrari. In other cicrumstances he wouldn't had any chances to win today.

They asked when he was about 1.5 sec.
The following question is why they asked?

Simpy, The had a deal on the briefing: the deal was, at the start (Since Ferrari is faster than Mercedes on the straight track) for LeCreck to keep the left side of the track, for Vettel to use the halo effect from Leccreck to overtake Hamilton.

Vettel got a boosted start and, Lecrecr did "not close the door" and Vettel not only overtakes Lewis but James too.

Now for the deal, Vettel needed to swap back the position on the best moment possible.

I am sorry for Ferrari as they were beaten by race happenings like the Safety Car otherwise they would have won the race.Again Mercedes did a great job but they were aided by luck but luck can’t be forever by your side.If Ferrari keeps up the good work I think Leclerc will be World Champion next year,this guy did 6 consecutive poles and that is amazing.

They will race on Japan Suzuka, this is a good track in general but a lot more for Mercedes, they should be have easy life there.

Yes it will be too early in Europe as it will be in 6 or 7 am of the morning.Only real Formula 1 fans wake up at that hour to watch their preferred racing sport.I am one of them,I watch every race at whichever hour it may be because that is what a fan is all about,following his beloved heroes.Suzuka is a great race to watch and a Safety Car in is sure.

I haven't missed any race of this season's calendar. This one puzzles me because it will be too early at my place as well.
I will decide after the qualification round and see how much promising the race is going to be.

Recorded race isn't interesting to watch as see it live. And you can't use internet, watch TV and etc if you don't want to see results before watching race.
And race will be on Sunday, so, we don't have to go to work .

And they had to make changes in schedule. They cancelled FP3 and moved qualification to Sunday - it will happen in early morning just few hours before the race. There will be no action on the track on Saturday.

So both the qualification round and the race would happen on the same day?
If so, the teams are going to have little time to set up plans and strategies that are based on the qualification of their drivers.

@LTU_btc let’s hope we get to see the live race tomorrow, and hopefully the safety cars will stay away otherwise it’ll spoil the race. Max has a good chance of winning due to his current form, but he needs to start on the podium tomorrow otherwise he may not be able to win in such conditions due to visibility issues.

We have a race at Suzuka and after a long time Bottas is doing great.
He started from the 3rd place and it seems to be ahead of the two Ferrari's that started in front of him.

It was another super boring race, good for Bottas he needed it.

But the track... You can't overtake unless the one in front of you has tires problems.

These kinds of tracks need to be deleted from the circus.

So true. Suzuka is so old track and it is not totally a fit for the new cars.
It may be a good track back in 2002 but not for cars in 2019. Hopefully, Bottas got a win, he truly deserved it as he always doing the "dirty" job for Hamilton and due to that he lost many times the 1st place.

Mercedes strategy was strange today. They were able to get  double front row finnish. But they decided to pit Lewis when his tyres were in perfect condition and he lost position not only to Bottas, but to Vettel also. They wanted to give win to Bottas, but losing 2nd position is such way was stupid decision IMO.
Leclerc got double time penalty (10+5 seconds), I think it was fair decision. But I don't understand why Vettel didn't got penalty for falstart.

These kinds of tracks need to be deleted from the circus.

I'd rather would see races in old school tracks like Suzuka, Hungaroring, Hockenheim than in these fancy new circuits like Singapore, Sochi or some new tracks which are planned in future - they are much more boring than these old tracks.
