What do I need to do to get Eth+Sia working on windows?

So I was playing around with Jukebox's ROM for Sapphire RX480 Nitro+OC 8GB

One of my video cards won't take the v4.rom (2150Mhz / 1750 straps) because it has shitty memory. (Even though GPU-Z says it has a quality ASIC, go figure...)
It wouldn't even reliably run the runner up: vdrop+.rom which is 2080Mhz / 1625 straps. (I think.)

The v4.rom showed failure right away, 0.000 Mh/s and crash.
The vdrop+.rom would start off fine, then slowly degrade to 26Mh/s and result in OpenCL GPU errors after about 30 minutes or less. Many reboots.
(I only achieved stability by WattTooling it down to stock 2000Mhz on boot before running Claymore.)

So after experimenting made my own version of the vdrop+.rom which works well as a third option for dumb cards.
All I did was modify the existing one from 2080Mhz to 2050Mhz and drop the memory voltage from 1000mv to 900mV.

This got me at least a 1.5Mh/s gain on the dumb card, it used to read 27.5 - 28.1Mh/s max, now it reaches 29.1Mh/s, very rarely touching 28Mh/s.

The whole rig is doing a total of 178-179 Mh/s-ish (I really wanted 180 damn) but I'll take it.
SC mining is also running at 2980 to 3030 Mh/s with %0.4 rejected shares which I attribute to the nicehash pool latency/design. (-dcri 17)

Today when I started dual mining (ETH+DCR) on my Asus RX580 STRIX 8GB (Samsung memory) after few minutes computer hangs up?

I don't undervolt - I've only copied 1750 straps to 2000.

When I mine solo only ETH it works just fine - tested for 24h without any problem.


Any clues?

Oh... I'm on Crimson 17.5.2 Beta drivers.

A couple of things you can do (one at a time. don't change two things at once.)

1. Try adjusting the -dcri value from its default of 30 to say, 15, and start from there. (-/+ on the keyboard as it's mining.)
2. Undervolt with WattTool -100mV
3. Lower the GPU processor speed to something like 1150 or 1125. (edit bios)
4. Put the 2000 straps back and try to make memory faster by overclocking it instead.

How'd you get those drivers to work with the modified bios?

When u have a share accepted on different pools, u also have (xxx ms!)
Is this time better to be low or high?
I suppose lower is better but want to be sure since i live in Europe and when i connected to an eu endpoint of a netwprk i got higher time in ms then when i connected in us endpoint. Can also someone explain why i got lower time on bigger the distance?

Check if you have the same ip for the rig in the moment of disconnection. Some mobile internet providers change the ip on the go.

hi all experts,

i noticed that when i mine with ethermine pool, there is:
1) DevFee: ETH: Stratum - Connected (eu1.ethermine.org:14444)
2) DevFee: start mining
3) DevFee: ETH: checking pool connection...
4) DevFee: stop mining and disconnect

What does the devfee above means?
But when i mine alpereum for past 12 days, there is no "devfee" in any of the log.

could some one enlighten me?

So I edit the START file like this:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethpool.org:3333 -ewal 0xdA4Fd02b79e1F3CEBBF581786f1a2E174ee9XXXX.myname -epsw x -mode 1

Now it works.
But my GPU0 makes 23Mh/s and my GPU 1 3.0Mh/s

I have a GTX 1080 and GTX 970 (not SLI connected).
Any Ideas why its so slow the second GPU?

I agree, same problem to me. I set -mpsw option and use new ETHMan 3.0, in ethman I set passwords to all rigs with "Apply to all" button, ETHMAN works good but at some point all rigs go offline. If i restart ETHMan all rigs will be okay in the same second. I looks like if one rig goes down ETH man 3.0 may loose connection to all other rigs but it is not 100%

the problem exists on all rigs where I tryed to run ETHMan 3.0 (windows 7 x32 home, windows 7 x64 ultimate)

*I use non standart port numbers for my rigs.

The first rig everything worked fine. new w10 only / no drivers. Installed claymore 9.4 - only using start.bat

I cloned to a 3rd new rig (identical hardware), and same issue.

Anyone else using RX580 having similar issue?

I have had nothing but problems cloning rigs this way. Every one I have used a copied HDD on I have needed to at least do a fresh driver install. I had weird problems like only 3 cards showing or like you have, incorrect or no fan control / temp reading 0.

I don't think it's the rx 580.

What program are you using to clone the HDD?

I've used clonezilla multiple times to clone rigs' HDD's & never had an issue.

First off, why are you posting this question in the Claymore mining thread? There are plenty of other threads discussing the issues Dwarfpool is currently having.

Secondly, why are you asking a bunch of Internet strangers what to do? Be you own man and take action! If you are worried enough to make a post about it you should be worried enough to move to a different pool until the issues are resolved.
