hi all!!!
nice to be here!!!
i read great thing about byteball..
but i don't understand well.. how distibution works...
can soomeone give me a simple example???
next snapshot will be April 11, 2017 - 08:08 AM (CEST), or better 06:08 AM (UTC).
if at this time&date i hold 10BTC in my address... how many byteball [BYTE] i will receive??
and when i will be able to spend it?

thank you all!

The snapshots for the 4th round will be taken on the Full Moon of April, on Apr 11, 2017 at 06:08 UTC.  This is what you receive:
BTC to bytes: 1 BTC of proven balance gives you 62.5 MB (0.0625 GB)

Yes, but you will receive Blackbytes also, 2.11 times byteballs amount. In your case with 10 BTC you will receive 0.625 GB and 1.318 GB.

It takes 24/48 to devs team sending byte/blackbyte-ball. And, yes, when received you can transfer at-a-glance. There are coinexchange or slack-trading solutions

Great video from Marc de Mesel again!

He mentions Byteball as "basically the only player out there using the new DAG technology"  Shocked

Tweeted about it, please retweet: https://twitter.com/cryptkeeperbtt/status/847333799213977602

why can not list byteball at bittrex?

or poloniex?

or some Chinese exchange platform?

this seems one of the most interesting technology this year.

Soon it will be on big exchanges as it has amazing technology so this project will be best of the year. Community is growing very fast that is why soon we will be on top exchanges.

the most important reason is this: because Premine is 80% in dev's hand, when distribution will almost done, polo and bittrex will list for sure

3 projects in 2017:Byteball/Qtum/Elastic (1) Byteball: DAG (2)Qtum:Bitcoin+EVM+POS3.0 (3)Elastic is better than Golem

I think byteball is above qtum coin and qtum project
qtum project is die after problem track record dev team, about elastic project iam not follow project, so iam not understand is good coin and good project or not

lol qtum is not dead at all the ico sold out entirely.  It's just that their stupid slack is over the invite limit due to people not signing up requested invites and the other discussion places are all in Chinese.  It's funny because on wechat the people complain that qtum.org is in English.

Qtum will be very interesting if they're really able to enable a much more mobile friendly ethereum.  I actually wish I had invested a little bit more in the ico.  Byteball is very interesting though and the distribution method means you can get some with no risk.

They have done it in the past even for lower premines so I don't get why this couldn't be listed Wink
I also believe that, eventually, exchanges will have to include byteball in their books.

I think this is a problem too, but, ripple is listed on both polo and trex, and I think Ripple labs still holding 66% of all ripples, so exceptions have been made.

Trading a lot of ALTs beside holding BTC for the long run. There are only 3 other coins i have and will hold tight, beside up and downs. FCT, XRB (even it hasn´t a long track record) and GBYTE Grin Maybe Tezos will the fourth, first looking at ICO details.

I'm trying to recover from seed and my wallet isn't synced yet. PC full wallet says there no active accounts found and does nothing... Does it mean I have to wait untill it's fully synced (over 12 hours)? My phone just soft bricked and I'd love to factory reset it asap but still want to be sure don't need any data from it (I'm only able to download via adb)

LifeHack:

1. You must waiting full sync
2. Recovery from seed AFTER that!

Its faster and consist less problems.

Syncronization very fast with modern multicore 64 bit hardware and without recovery from seed.

Hi,

I am quite new in the crypto world, and I am a bit lost with distributions. I am really interested with this project and I would like to buy some coins. But I have some doubts..

On 11th Aprill will be the next snapshot (distribution), it means that the price will drop because there will be more coins?

I have read that with 1 BTC you receive 62.5MB (0.0625GB). What is MB or GB? Are them coins?

Do I need to have a Byteball wallet? Is it easy to install for a non tech guy?

Apologies for all these question that might seem a silly ones. I will appreciate any help..

Thank you!!

No one knows that price will drop, but that is what happened last two snapshots I think.

Base unit is bytes. MB is one million bytes, GB one billion. So for one BTC you receive 62500000 bytes. You also receive 0.1 bytes for every byte you hold in your linked wallet address. So if you have 100 MB, you will get 10 MB more.

You need the wallet and yes it's easy to install.

MB and GB are memory not coins I hope this helps you so to your question 1 BTC will get you 62.5 Megabytes (MB) of memory or 0.0625 Gigabytes (GB) I hope this helps you out!

Dont know if it's just me, but it took over 1 full day to sync the network.

Are other people having these problems?

Syncronization very fast with modern multicore 64 bit hardware and without recovery from seed.

I have a top of the line mac, don't think its hardware issue ...

MB and GB are memory not coins ...
No, in Byteball they are coins:

... bytes (the native currency of Byteball)

Many thanks Krypt, Gtswpm60, jwinterm!!

Now I have a better understanding Smiley

But I still have some doubts.. The price today is around 66$. It means 1 byte = 66$?

Then.. if you have 1BTC during the snapshot, and you receive the bytes. Later on can you move the 1BTC out of the wallet without losing any byte?

Thanks in advance!!!
