No, bitcoin can survive until up to 20 years and longer. The total market cap of it keeps on growing and that's the reason why it can survive for a longer time, there would be changes and upgrade but it will remain as the original/origin of cryptos. And once 20 years has passed, the price will become bigger and we can use 1 satoshi for buying something.

Actually it will be very difficult to give a future message about what will happen after twenty years.But Bitcoin is day by day most popular currency in the world.I think the future will be more popular it's my personal opinion.

It's difficult to have some insights about bitcoin but if you know what is currently happening with bitcoin. And you are basing everything with it's chart, you can have an idea on what's going to happen soon. Another factors are the good news that are coming out everyday, that is giving a very big idea on what is possible to happen.

Well, it is really difficult to perfect predict about future. Also we know sometime bitcoin price rise and sometime bitcoin price down. So we can say that bitcoin is still good, but in future we don't know that bitcoin would be good. Simply earn money from it now and don't need to predict after 20 years what is going on.

yes that is a fact that 20 years is such a big time, therefore it is not such an easy job to predict about bitcoin after 20 years. but from the present progress of bitcoin we can easily conclude about bitcoin after 20 years.

Yes, if we look at the progress of bitcoin now and if it continue in until we reach that 20 years then for sure we have great success and more investors will come and many will be going to be rich in the future.  If we consider the continued support of the users this is not impossible to happen and for sure in that 20 years there will be more countries that will for sure look at the bitcoin and be it their own currency.

Yes anything can happen in future and there is likely a chance that bitcoin will disappear by that time or will get replaced some other coin or a technology which will be better then bitcoins and people will stop using bitcoins and will switch to better option.

It really dependes on how bitcoin is used over the next 5 years, if some killer app appears then bitcoin could take off.  i am hoping that Dotcoms megaupload 2 and bitcache might help that in the newyear. 

yes, it maybe disappear after a year if there is someone who will kill this app. But if they protect and take care of it well and always update everything this may grow and it can help a lot people all over the world. Im hoping too that this forum will never disappear.

Let just do the match for simple calculation with current price off course.

We will have 4-5 halving but 20 year period, that means that price will at be double (that s worst case scenario by me), price is now 1600 and with 4-5 halving price could be more then 20-25k per one bitcoin. We saw price going up more then double but i will stick to this case maybe we wont see this big price but it would be good to see it anyway.

Future is unpredictable and uncertain so price can be good and bad. Im hopping to see this price in my lifetime.

20 Years from now bitcoin is really unpredictable it if survives or another digital currency will replace it. But I do love bitcoin and I want to see the price of it jumping high up to 1 million dollars each before the meltdown that way I can still build up a house. Anyway, in my own view bitcoin will still survive that long and possibly will reach the 50K dollars value per coin.

I agree with you, even the price of bitcoin now is high, it can reach even higher price because bitcoin is gaining momentum and also popularity from the countries out there and also having a lot of investors for this year because a lot of people now believed that they can also earn a lot of money from bitcoin by just investing in.

I do no see bitcoin being used as a digital currency at that time but more of an asset or stock has the value will be so high with Bitcoin Block Reward Halving coming soon,we are likely to see a shift of digital currencies move to the altcoin world.
