anyone still holding the first customer batch neptune order?

I'm still long on Neptune CA!

My Saturns paid for Neptune CA.
If I never plug it in I'm still ahead Smiley

YMMV
Smiley

well my last Neptune is gone I'm out on this (Neptune CA) version

That's just silly. There are other currencies out there that you can easily mine with any rig right now and make a healthy return then you can either turn into the dying USD or covert them into Bitcoins. Bitcoin isn't the only crypto that works with ASIC hardware. Smiley

How naive

Even still if they are selling we would see the transactions of the mass sell off on fiatleaks which I don't see. Last night at the there was about 30,000 BTC's that went to China, that's not massive enough.

Each trade results in a Bitcoin being sent from the currency counter in red to the country on the map

you do know that china has exchanges that have 0% trade fees and flip coins around like a tornado...   fiatleaks is just a parlor trick

They also didn't answer my question about whether their VC's are getting a few hundred/thousand units to set up a private farm. Who, with cheap access to hardware, wouldn't?

Taped Out in March: https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-78
TSMC 20nm cycle time (masks creation) is 4-5 months. Samples in July / August. Miners probably in August / September

Spondoolies-Tech, I'll suggest again to you, that, as an official representative of a commercial competitor you would be better served staying in your own thread and conducting yourselves more professionally. You are not doing yourselves any favours with this line of attack.

I'm not hiding the fact that I'm competition. I'm sharing well known data in the industry.

It's hard to be anything but cynical, as every big asic manufacturer has screwed us over.

And it's hard to swallow that someone put up money for you to develop a product, but isn't hoping to benefit from that themselves, other than sales.

But thanks for the answer - you have my (cynical) benefit of the doubt (for now).

er hate to ask but do they give refunds on the last batch of Neptunes? not sure anymore? (not kidding that is what i heard
not to be mean)

dumped my 1st batch customer appreciation order a couple days ago (usa citizen) with IRS announcement it is too weird gonna sit on the sidlines
till hopefully things are resolved this summer....so i'm out of btc mining except for my faithful oct Jupiter and its tiny mining operation

sigh

just can't see this working with all the gh and gh farms committed to completion (and me fighting KNC's farm with my former Neptune) when they started and btc was 900 bucks
they are committed to this hash going out equip/farm and otherwise even as BTC tanks....so I'm officially on the sidelines probably thru summer

my 2c worth

The new Titan spec is crazy.  250 MH/s for $10k running on a 1000 watt power supply.   The entire LTC network is around 650 Titans (Current = 162,995 MH/s).     This is really going to send shock waves through the smaller coins.    I'm still holding 1 Neptune order and do not have a titan order as the original spec of 100 MH/s was not worth it to me.  While the new spec is tempting,  I decided to just buy 1000 more LTC and HODL!   Will be very interesting how this turns out,   will the new scrypt asic's push all supported alt coins to a higher level or wipe many of them out?   Some warned about this since building a scrypt asic cost much more than building a sha256 asic that the centralization will be much worse on the LTC side.   Right now that is looking true with Alpha and KNC holding the network in their hands if they can produce the machines at or above the current released specs.  Remember Avalon holding double the hash rate in a small batch of chips...    this isn't far off for all scrypt coins but is there a different feeling in the air?   Has greed taken over?   I can't say since I really don't know the guys at either company but I would hope not.   None of us know if they really are working their asses off to push virtual currencies to the masses or building their own fortunes in fiat.

Wish everyone well in 2014 and remember to not panic.   Today we are at $500 BTC / $14 LTC and the future is looking bright.

Hi, what kind of response did you get: 3-10 business days or "as soon as possible"?
What as soon as possible even means?

The problem is that we need USD to cover lots of things and many miners can't wait until the end of 2014.
The future is bright but tomorrow is dark.

Except in 50 minutes Alpha Tech will start taking orders on their 650Mh unit:

We say this as we anticipate by the time competition’s product is released our next batch will be due shortly ensuring we can again stay one step ahead. At this point we would like to guarantee a minimum of 650 Mh/s for our second batch, this figure is just a preliminary minimum and it is more likely than not to be higher.

The Litecoin arms race begins  Grin

No no no, no arms race,
Litecoin is just a fad, as are all Alt Coins.

Bitcoin is where it is at. Focus on that and just ignore the other coins, they are just Bitcoin Wannabes.

I mean what could you do with a measly 650Mh? We bitcoiners are doing TERAHASH stuff.

RIGHT?!?!
