Right, I've followed that chain of events/thoughts pretty well so far, and I am familiar with organofcorti's claims too.

The data hall is full of jupiters, not neptunes, right ?

And it is hash power from this hall which makes it possible for KNC to provide you with a plan B in case Neptune is late, right ?

So basically,  many of you cancelled your Neptune orders for refunds or for FrankenJupiter pain when Neptune wasn't late, and those of you who didn't got rewarded with the promise of a 2 for 1 deal.

And you cancelled because KNC built a data hall out of company profits and started mining bitcoin just like everybody else ?

The only complexity in this story seems to be their promise not to mine with more than 5% of the hashrate they sell …  I guess if organofcorti's analysis is correct, the claim that they broke this promise must be true.

Good luck to all of you miners hoping to have bitcoin mining all to your self.

Are they holding back the 3TH that were paid for MONTHS ago for no reason??

Did they ship out boxes and boxes of used/damaged hardware for no reason??

Did they then resend out more boxes of used/damaged hardware wrapped in a bit of wire for no reason??

Did they tell investduhs who spent a miminum of 10 THOUSAND USD to 'just push it back in place with a pencil' for no reason??

Did they rivet the cases shut with multiple warnings that opening them will result in the loss of the '90 day warranty' for no reason??

The Swedes do seem to value loyalty highly. This story could almost be set in the context of the epic Nordic/Mediterranean personality differences.

It looks like those of you who got emotional about KNC entering the mining business and converted their Neptune orders to FrankenJups before Neptune was late shot themselves in the foot and also got messed with by KNC.

Was not going to wait for anything else before I got these damn things up and running. I actually use the shelf I have to squeeze the sinks to the boards better than the shit cases they sent the boards in.

I used the foam that came in the cases to line up the boards and add uniform pressure against the shelves. So I basically sandwiched them using the adjustable shelves. All the cards work but the bean head didn't know how to count to 18 when he was counting the data cables so I got shorted 1.

We would also like to inform you that we are business to business company and are not business to consumer.
You may request to replace ASIC that has issue with yellow DC/DC. Engineers intentionally installed more resistors that ASIC needed, therefore, if the board missed couple of resistors, it should not influence on performance of the board anyhow.

Please note that this is a provisional video and we will provide a more clear and detailed video as soon as possible.
Below are the steps to take to assemble the miner.
1) The controller board can be placed outside of the case on a non conductive surface. To put the miner together you will need to first apply the thermal paste to the chip, you should put a thin line of the paste on one side of the chip and then spread out the past using a small flat spatula or similar. The thermal paste should be applied evenly on the chip.
2) You can then place the cooler in the case and then connect up the fan cable to the ASIC board and place it on the cooler. Once you have the ASIC board placed and aligned with the cooler, you can then place small white feet on the asic board to hold it in place.
3) The cables for the controller board can only be put in one way, there is a small notch on one of the connectors and this is the side that should be connected to the controller board. The other end connects to the ASIC board with the cable coming out of the case.

ok I"m obviously missing something here in the give and take as far as I've heard..the Franken Jupiter people by taking them CAN'T get a refund

now if you ment they also are turning to btc to get around the fact the bank xfer  is delayed I take you point get a refund

but man ...feel sorry for the franken jupiter folks with no Refund option..just the steady stream of back and forth RMA with broken parts loop (likely)

Every time one thinks that KnC can not get lower, they prove that we are wrong. Claiming they do not have a refund policy, but wrote when I ordered my Neptunes:

All refunds will be refunded in dollars and you can refund up to shipment

They promote transfers in BTC, because

"BTC refunds will be sent much faster since the time in transit is hours, not days like with bank transfer."

However, no refund for me - and obviously many others - in a timely manner, although I accepted a refund in BTC.

This smells. I have contacted two lawfirms in Sweden and asked for their opinion. I'm more than willing to get this legal road, and the more people with similar cases, the more likely it won't cost too much.

I'll post the lawfirm's responses once they arrive....
