In November/December 2013 there were the glory days where you are able to mine $500 a day with BTC. but these times are long over.

Magnus Daar from Nova responded to my e-mail. I think it is the best option for all EU based clients. There is already a number of people willing to join the group action (not a class action actually). I am 80% convinced to do it with Nova. I will keep you posted.

That's encouraging to hear. Is there an issue with North American or other non-EU resident clients participating ?

This is why I think you are guys are barking up the wrong tree when you set out to try and sue KNC Miner, you have to realize they are only responsible for complying with the Swedish Law and not any international laws. KNC is a pretty big company that they likely have confirmed everything with their own lawyers. "Natalie (kncminer) Oct 27 14:58 Hi, Our terms and conditions are in accordance with Swedish law. dude I can sell you miners all you want for the best price available, but as B2H (Business-2-Horse) only. "The Products are sold to horses only and Purchaser hereby accepts that it has purchased the Products as a horse." Since you are a horse, you cannot make business and therefore I neither need to deliver anything nor refund you. Just because one puts something written in the internet and call it TandC, it doesn't change the laws. Let alone this B2B crap and deceptive marketing, refusal of refunds, keeping money of accepted refunds for several months, etc.. Even if most of their TandC would be ok for some B2B cases in the wild, it would not mean that it fits to KnC's reality and covers their fraudulent scammy actions.

Any tips on how to get disabled dies/cores enabled again on neptunes. Got one neptune which is very stubborn even after upgrades / downgrades reboots the die's still won't come up.
--SNIP--
Haven't had the chance yet to power down the full cubes yet as they are on a remote site. Know previously we had a script to enable all cores again with a reboot by using a script on jupiters. Not sure if there is any for neptunes?
It is my experience that the DC/DC on a Nep can lock up. This requires you to power cycle the ASIC PCB to recover the DC/DC converters. I have OCCASIONALLY had success with a "Triple waas with a full twist" (hunt thru my posts if interested) I think the lock up and failure to recover are related to the way kfc powers the communications. They changed the communications circuitry on the 20nm products. This change IMneverHO is part of the problem. First they blamed the GE VRMs and switched to Ericsson. The new ones don't sing loudly, they go silent and cold instead. If a cube works for a while then develops issues over time,,, Check the heatsinks (learn how if you must, takes less time than an RMA) My Nep instability is usually temp related. The irony, IMneverHO, is they could have used 12 VRM per PCB and shipped 4 ASIC Neptune. Their decision not too requires 25% more ASIC to fill existing orders. An ASIC must cost lots less than 8 VRM else they would have... kfc does an 'own goal' at everyones expense. YMMV

My second batch Neptune only gets 2.2 terrahashes and refuses to show the advanced readouts page so I cannot tell how much of the shortfall is associated with which cube.
I have tried upgrading the firmare to the latest but still cannot get the advanced page to display.
Has anyone else had trouble getting to the "advanced" page? If so, did you ever eventually get the page?

KNC is a pretty big company
No they're not. They are a pissy little company that are already too big for their own boots. They can't even ship a working product these days. When I first started working in the research labs of a big telecommunications company who were developing an operating system called unix and a protocol called SS7, there were over 6000 people in the building I worked in, including a number of nobel laureates. That was a big company.

Titan update from kncnews.org regarding the flush latency problem: Nicehash has twigged to the flushwork problems. After initial attempts to work with KNC to make their pools Titan friendly, it sounds like KNC have ducked and Nicehash is now asking Titan owners to test for them. LTC isn't a problem, its altcoins with fast block times, low network hash rate and rapid difficulty changes. Nicehash commented (emphasis added) Could someone test the latest Titan firmware on stratum.nicehash.com or stratum.westhash.com with a starting difficulty of d=2048 or even higher? Keep in mind that not only pool difficulty (this can be set), but also coin difficulty affect miner performance ... Litecoin is not an issue (it has a high coin difficulty), but altcoins usually have a small coin difficulty - and this is also the part where Titan get's inefficient.
KNC have acknowledged the problem and have been trying to fix it but it is still an issue with the current firmware release. Some observers conjecture that the problem is an architectural one that can't be completely solved in software and that KNC's recent bump of the clock rate of the Titan was an effort to try to bring the very poor performance of the Titan when mining some of these fast block time altcoins up to its promised minimum 300 Mh/s in order to pre-empt refund requests based on non-performance of the Titan.

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=22290.msg214719#msg214719KNC's behavior towards their customers beggars belief. They are shipping 'as soon as possible'. They RMA products 'as soon as possible'. They are fixing the flush work latency problem 'as soon as possible'. They are fixing the DC/DC problems 'as soon as possible'. They are fixing the 'creeping degradation' problem 'as soon as possible'. They are sending out Y cables 'as soon as possible'. They are refunding Neptune owners 'as soon as possible'. They are shipping bonus Neptunes 'as soon as possible'. The only thing that don't claim to do 'as soon as possible' is issue refunds. KNC, the little company that couldn't.

KnC's Kurt persistently and dishonestly posts the same lies about Q2/Q3 Titan shipping dates being an estimate, or regurgitating the same bs about how the product description only said shipping would commence in Q2/Q3, yet at the time they were seeking to convince people to buy into their pre-order, they were happily posting confident and definite assertions such as this one from Kurt on 20th March All miners will be shipped within the Q2/Q3 timeframe that we have specified. On the one hand they say that customers were made aware of the full facts of the ordering conditions at the time, yet on the other, in terms of due diligence research that most customers would have done to go further than the simple product description posted on their website, they were eager to make claims about how ALL miners would have been shipped WITHIN the Q2/Q3 timeframe. So let me get this right, they are claiming that Swedish company law permits them to claim a product will be shipped within a specific timeframe, arrogantly announce that there will be 'No Refunds' for this product, then utterly fail to actually deliver when they said they would or, for that matter, with the product they said it would be, namely, there was no mention of it needing to be limited to specific pools in order to hash efficiently. Is it that Swedish company law actually allows for a company to screw their customer over so royally, or are KnC simply ignoring the rule of law in terms of the fact that, surely, if the customer is cancelling, not simply on a whim but, because the company has filed to deliver, the 'Non Refundable Product' claimed by KnC is not applicable?

Hi, The production and shipping of the Titan miners has begun in the Q3 period as described in the product description at the time of purchase. We will continue to produce and ship the miners as quickly as possible according to the payment dates of the orders. The Titan miner is a nonrefundable product. Please review our terms and conditions which can be found here: https://www.kncminer.com/pages/tandcIn our terms and conditions you will find under Delivery Terms: 8. Delivery Terms 8.1 The Products are delivered EXW (Incoterms 2010) to the delivery address specified by the Purchaser, unless otherwise agreed. The delivery date is provided for information purposes only and shall not be binding on KnCMiner. The Purchaser is not entitled to refuse acceptance of the Products, withdraw, cancel or revoke the order or make claims for compensation due to any delayed delivery. Best regards Med vänlig hälsning Natalie Kncminer www.kncminer.com Office: +46 8559 253 20 This is a new low for KNC - they're now claiming they never meant to ship all titans by q3, but that shipping would begin by q3. FUCKING SCAMMERS!
