So in other news, it appears that the moneybadger coalition successfully defended the 9-4RP2 keepstar from the goonswarm/imperium last night in the largest online battle that has yet occurred. I have not seen a summary of the killboard, but over $1M (real money) worth of virtual equipment was at play in this engagement.
I played eve online far too long. it's more an economy simulalor then space game. Such big battles were pretty boring. it often took hours of waiting before the shooting starts and once it starts, the servers can't keep up with the load and the lag makes playing very annoying. I loved hanging around in a space station in jita, doing some trades in the biggest market of the game. Trading was my main source of income. Before I left the game many years ago I bought all Thulium I could find for a very low price. Thulium is the rarest moon material but it was useless during this time. Later the developers of the game made an update, the production for some high tech products required thulium, the demand raised and the prices of Thulium mooned. I think this game taught me alot about trading. I'm still hodling Thulium edit: roached?

Why not just get a Trezor for about twice the cost?
Can you download Coinomi, Bither and Bitpie and then claim your forks on a Trezor? SatoshiLabs has to first add Trezor support for the new forked coins, as they have with past forks such as BCash and BitcoinGold. But once they have done that, you should be able to claim and send your forked coins anywhere you wish. They have rules around what Bitcoin forks they will support though: https://trezor.io/troubleshooter/#103Thanks, but I have kind of an issue with companies telling me what forks I can and can not have. With a phone I choose what to claim and not. You still control your private keys. Anything they do is a gift. You can move your coins to another HD Wallet and then sweep the Bitcorn Blast off the old addresses just like you could with any other wallet. Or import the old keys into your phone etc. Don't bother, Arries understanding of the underlying technology is spotty at best. A couple weeks ago he was claiming that he never signed his transactions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GxFbw57dVU

They had over 6000 players in system and the time dilation got so bad that the goon FC couldn't implement his/her plan effectively so the trophy capitals were never committed. In the end they only managed to burn up a few grand in equipment. I myself am extremely thankful that in my life I have managed to avoid heroin, amphetamines, AND EVE Online. Anyway, to keep us on topic, go moneybadgers!

not sure if scamcoin or shitcoin https://pool.viabtc.com/announcement/27/On January 20th, 2018, at block height of 505050, a hard fork will happen on Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain and create a new blockchain asset - Bitvote (Token: BTV; Website: http://bitvote.one/). Bitvote (BTV) increases its blocksize to 8MB and adopts SegWit, which to a large degree has improved it transaction efficiency. BTV supports CPU mining with CryptoNight algorithm and has a total supply of 21 million.

I never thought about this but the only trading I did before Bitcoin was in World of Warcraft on the Auction House. It took me awhile but I eventually learned I could earn far more from a quick 15 minutes scooping up underpriced enchanting supplies and reselling than from running around doing daily quests. The markets were less stable than crypto though ! I would have liked to do Eve but I know that it would take far too much of my time. I have trouble doing things by halves. I expect that’s a trait shared by many people on this thread.

It makes perfect sense. I despised the gold farmers like most players but there were some who claimed to make a living from it. Not the Chinese, the real money was with uberguild leaders who exit scammed.
The more I think about it, the more parallels I can see....

If Bitcoin closes above 11147 in 2.75 hours from now, that would be bullish and Boblawblaw should then be able to stick to his retirement plans and sell @ 12500 very soon.

So, good luck to you if you find yourself with only sporadic appearances in the official books of state, if you are a rural migrant without a recorded birthdate, identifiable parents, or an ID number. Sorry if you lack markers of stability, if you are a rogue traveller without permanent address, phone number or email. Apologies if you have no symbols of status, if you're an informal economy hustler with no assets and low, inconsistent income. Condolences if you have no official stamps of approval from gatekeeper bodies, like university certificates or records of employment at a formal company. Goodbye if you have a poor record of engagements with recognised institutions, like a criminal record or a record of missed payments. https://www.nesta.org.uk/blog/war-cash h/t @J9Roem I missed this from 2016 Thanks for sharing this. It moved me.

Don't know if you guys frequent the "Mining" section but its brutal there. Basically Bitmain pulling another Bitmain and over-supplying the market with an ASIC for SIA. Noobs ordering a bunch of units expecting $500/day and while UPS is dropping off these ASICs the difficulty triples in about a day. https://siamining.com/statsAlso people going CRAZY over GPUs. People basically paying $1500 for GPUs and Computer Stores either Out of Stock on PSUs or REFUSING to sell PSUs without a Mobo+CPU combo. While I'm just chilling and mining on my good old 7970 from the Litecoin days on my old trusty Corsair 750W with ROI being the least of my worries.

They have something going on over there for sure.

I am calling for a nice little spike within 36 hours.
I'll keep HODLing on my $12.5k sell order for another 36 hours. If it plunges below $10k, I will find you, and make you my bitch. No lube. Whoaza!!!!!! Prediction making has consequences these days. Us HODLers, and perhaps especially Toxic, are hoping for a spike in the upwards direction in the coming day and a half. Regarding my own predicting abilities, I frequently am pretty whimpy in that respect. I consider that currently we have a BTC price battle that is largely ranging in the $10k to $12.5k arena, so certainly Bob is betting on price movement into the upper end of the range - which seems to be reasonable, yet really nothing to write home about until we bounce either above the range into the $13ks or below the range, into the 4 digits. Maybe I am close to 50/50 in my current thinking regarding which way the break out is going to go, and I suppose that if I was forced in either direction, I would give a slightly more favorable to up.. perhaps 51%
