In my country they have declare war against crypto. They won't win.. but make us loose so many money/time. Not only my born country (france) but all western europe is in war against crypto.

So.. fuck them !

(I don't live their anymore, but you know, your born country will be always in your heart).

I disagree, at least in Scandinavia there is no war against crypto. Exchanges must follow KYC and all that, and you must pay capital gains tax, but thats normal for all asset trading.
Moving in and out of crypto is also easy, a lot easier than in the US. SEPA, or in Sweden, Swish, is a lot easier and cheaper than the wire transfer used in the US.
Small scale mining isn't even taxed in Sweden, it's considered a hobby with no taxable income.

Ok I checked here and you can move your phone number to another phone company, but they will send you a new sim card with the number. So no magic online stuff. Would that not be a good way to get rid of the scamming in the rest of the world.

The number is being rerouted to a new sim, I don't see how this protects you. Most countries have signed up to mobile number porting, and the switch will be done on a back-end database.

Bitcoin is on the move!

It must have closed above 11147. Xhomerx10 says 12500 is incoming.

If Bitcoin closes above 11147 in 2.75 hours from now, that would be bullish and Boblawblaw should then be able to stick to his retirement plans and sell @ 12500 very soon.

They will physically send you a new sim with your old number. So even if someone else somehow get hold of your digital bank ID and manages to move you to another phone company that company will send the new sim with your old number to you physically trough the royal Swedish mail, (or one of their private competitors).

Bitcoin is on the move!

Come oooonnn $12.5k !!!

Oh, so about the retirement plan that is being executed for me, I emailed the gentlemen managing my account at one of my financial institutions, and sort of sheepishly asked them "Greetings folks. I have a shit-ton of fiatcoin sitting in my bank account as we prepare for 'the plan'. Haven't ever sat on this much cash at once before and kinda feel out of my league. What do you recommend short-term ?" and dudes responded with "Well, option a, option b, option c... or we could just get the account started on your portfolio with the funds you have available, get the ball rolling, and add to the account over the next 30 days."

Didn't even know that was an option ! Starting the fund earlier and adding to it over the next 30 days.

Waiting for my partner to get back from his trip, and we'll start the ball rolling next week, ahead of schedule.

With any luck, my $12.5k sell order is executed by Monday, and I'll be in amazing shape, ahead of my March 1st target.

I gotta be honest, though. This is really starting to stress me out. Having trouble concentrating on work lately.

Will be relieved when I'm finally "out".

I merit a few people. It seems there is a new system today. I found the thread in the meta section. You can read about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0

I think JJG..that you are in the same or near the same place I feel I am at. where these "stresses" are becoming less and less relevant.

Frequently, I attempt to think about my profits in conservative ways and also my costs in generous ways, but even if I give those benefits of the doubt, I still have profits that are way beyond what I would have been happy with, minimally.  So extra profits that are like icing on the cake.  I would have been happy to average 6% profits per year, so even with my down years, and various mistakes that I have made, I am easily averaging over 4x per year... that would be 400% per year.    Therefore with so much greater equity than expected, it becomes much easier to go into a kind of zen place.

I see them as applied gaming theory.

There are surely fun ways to look at this whole bitcoin matter, and I have been learning a lot - even when I get some of the predictions wrong.

Bitcoin kinda brings out a highlanderish thing...I will be the(most) only one with coin! amiright?

I'm not sure if I think of it like that, but I do feel some kind of insight regarding bitcoin and there seem to be so many smart people who do not seem to understand what differentiates bitcoin from other cryptos and from other asset classes.  Even the Weiss rating bullshit from today kind of demonstrates that either smart people do not understand bitcoin or they are purposefully engaging in misleading behavior...

How the fuck do they give Ethereum a B and bitcoin a C+ and Dogecoin a C...   Makes little sense, except that they are making shit up, and in the end, the fact that some of us can see through the bullshit, we are going to continue to invest in bitcoin and we will profit from such ongoing better than others insight.  In other words, some folks are going to get mislead by the bullshit that ended up coming out of the supposedly objective and professional Weiss rating system.

I mean..we have to keep score somehow.

I think that subliminally I may be on the same page.  I try to tell myself that I am not competing with anyone except for myself, but I do get some feelings of self-righteousness when I see some failures coming from some of the other more centralized projects that are trying to elevate themselves to bitcoin status or bitcoin 2.0 status.

Your bitcointalk member rank is frozen until you get enough merit points plus activity points to move up a level. People can send you merit points to "like" your posts.

Look at the upper right of a post for this merit link and click it to send someone merit points.

If nobody likes your posts you can't move up to the next member rank.

(Try my hand at this too.)
I think what yefi is trying to say is that before Swedish Mail has the time to deliver your card, one more SIM card has been made by someone else with their, say, laser printer (I'm faking the details here).

For all I know, it's entirely possible.
