I paid US$6,500 installed for a 8.5kw system which is a very large system including top quality panels and microinverters (not the cheaper string inverters).  You should be able to get a decent smaller system for less than US$3k installed.  I don't understand the pricing you have quoted.

If you size the system appropriately, you should be able to pay off the panels in 3 - 4 years.  Yes this requires staying in the same house for 3 - 4 years  Grin   After that it is free electricity.  But it also improves the resale value of your home.

The power companies pay me about $4 per day for the solar I send to the grid.  My quarterly power bill is the power company paying me about $360.   Once your HOA realises they can make money off it, they will come around.  I put some panels in suboptimal positions so that I do not have any panels directly visible from the front.

Hey Hairy. What is the feed in tariff rate where you are. I am .11cents AUD.

20 cents AUD.

Solar Boost Plus.

If you switch to Origin you should be able to get 15 cents.

https://www.originenergy.com.au/solar/feed-in-tariff-rates.html#rates

I bought a battery because I don’t think those prices can last.  Not with spot prices on the NEM going to zero at noon.

Some results are not as the mass thinks.

CME launched at the height of the frenzy. They also deal in dollars which will be way more attractive to the people likely to sign up.

I hope Bakkt have the gumption to keep going until it does pay off. Many places give up before then whereas if they'd stuck around for a few more months they would've had money pouring out their arses.

Circle are good at that.

Wow Arrie, you really got mad at that fat guy. He doesn't seem to be terribly bright. Not worth the anger if you ask me. I did like your poetic impetus though!  Grin

Is this the largest thread in the forum? Going back to 2013 and being over 25,000 pages long.

You do not deserve my haikus, from now on your post will be met with a heartfelt "fuck you fatty!"

Yes, Arriemoller.  You are starting to get it.

You are starting to get it.

Edit: Except seeing your subsequent posts that actually quote the fatty, seems to have a kind of reverse effect.

Its getting bad out there for Shitcoiners. When Bitcoin gets back to above 90 percent market cap dominance most cities will be overrun with homeless bagholders.

Wasn't that 4.2 billion largely gamed? I got the impression they were buying off themselves to look cool which relates to my favourite comment today from someone on Reddit about this - https://twitter.com/lawmaster/status/1178622451451867136

Oh wow.  SEC pathetic toothless tiger.

... not exactly, the opportunists at the SEC, on the taxpayer dollar, got to school themselves up on blockchains, multi-sig crypto, Ricardian contracts, etc, etc and who are all the best networks to plug into when they leave through the revolving door to land the plumpest crypto gigs

The monthly update:

After an annoying hot summer it became quickly chilly in September, at least we got some rain for more green in Q4. Where are the days you can enjoy life outside? Well then, more time for work and accumulation. Speaking of which, September was another good month to gather some more BTC as we can see in chart above.

As mentioned last month, I bought my Satoshis this month from Coinbase Pro, as advertised just 0.15% trading fee, that was is. I've noticed they do not batch transactions? Strange. Well, as they wish, better that the new 0.5% trading fee and 0.0005 BTC withdrawal fee on Bitstamp. Tongue

Gentlemen, have a pleasant October. Smiley

You are not really saying anything, are you?  except maybe you are saying that BTC price goes up and price goes down and sometimes it goes down more and sometimes it goes down less, and sometimes people hold dollars and other times they hold bitcoin.  Amirite?
