I mean, there has to be a new block to include the transactions in.

Maybe Slush has posted the transactions and some other included them in their block?

First create new account on https://vircurex.com/register?referral_id=350-195 and active addresses for NMC, DVC, IXC (these are alt coins you get when you mine BTC on bitparking).

Then register on bitparking http://mmpool.bitparking.com/register with the vircurex addresses (and your BTC address).

Then run cgminer like this:

cgminer -o http://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD -o stratum+tcp://mmpool.bitparking.com:3333 -u USERNAME -p d=1

I woke up to a fan not spinning then I went to the Bitcoin room where all the mining is going on thinking the circuit breaker blew but what I found was the computer that was on the circuit was still on. I saw that the connection to pool is broken and that I forgot to setup a fall back pool to mine on so I did that this morning, plus I had to do it on two other computers. Now all computers are mining on 50btc for now and they will switch back once the pool is back up. Oh about the fan, it was on a timer...... What a morning to wake up to. Two of the computers were switch to 50btc so I did not lose much.

Idk I recommend a back up pool like 50btc, btcguild or any other pools so you have little down time.
