Mine was down but we have jumped from 23 to over 27 on the hash rate. Obviously word got out on the luck so looks as if a bunch have pointed their miners this way.

Funny thing is...the pools luck goes to hell when the hoppers jump onboard! Heh

Is eleven blocks in one day a record then?

remember...the target time is 10 min per block, imagine how many blocks slush pool was finding daily in the early days!

I remember Slush solving 40+ blocks in one day and that was Jan. - Mar. of 2013 I know the pool may have solved more than that before.

You bet. I cannot state for a fact that Slush pools pays more than ALL other pools (for myself anyways) but out of the few I have mined with, I prefer Slush pool over any others. I will be searching for a more preferred backup/fail-over pool versus what I am using currently.

WOW, just joined the board today to post my amazement of the flock of hoppers that came on.. I am fairly new to slush pool, and due to the low number of g/h i am able to hash i was looking for the community pool effect to earn steady bitcoin.. now that the hoppers are on I can tell you I can effectively mine a whole bitcoin in two years  Undecided

Oh and for the record I started this as a hobby and the chances to earn some rare bitcoin...

Someone please tell me this is temporary???

I have a question for any knowledgeable miners out there.
I have three 1Ths miners here at Slush and three at BTCGuild.
How does luck actually play a part?
Guild finds blocks regular as clockwork every 55 mins approx.
Slush can vary from seconds to over a day.
Just curious.

yeah luck varies but it's "balanced" by the size of your share.

Ghash.io finds blocks even more frequently but your share of the rewards are even smaller.

Considering longer periods (4day+) there is miniscule or no difference between pools when it comes to btc rewards.

Btw, over a day long rounds exist but they are not that frequent on slush.

BFF miner is not seeing any of your hardware so you are not mining.  The new block detected means the network has resolved a block and we are all working on the next. And by we I mean the entire bit coin network.

Basically right now your are not mining with Bfg but monitoring the network. What ASIC are you trying to run?

Hope that helps.

Namnuta is absolutely right you are not mining and no hardware is listed in CGminer window.

Try this, in CGminer window type the letter "m" then the plus key "+" then "all" and hit return. it will refresh and list the hardware and info.

As far as I can tell, that would only work in BFGMiner. But there is indeed nothing mining.

I started mining on this pool just a few weeks ago, but, whats the avg earning / day for 200 GH/s for example?(1 antminer S1).

For example, one day i earned around 8 €, another 10€, another maybe 5€... it depends always on the blocks of course... sometimes a block is found with just mins or 1 hour, and sometimes you have to wait 17 hours xDD

That question is the intrigue of The Great and Mighty SLUSH POOL. Since Slush is not the biggest fish in the sea, there is no "average day" and therefore, no "average earning / day". On the rare day, we may feel lucky to get 1 block resolved, and then on another we may be so blessed as to get 10 or more blocks resolved. These past few days have been wonderful, and that is why I mine SLUSH. I find it boring to sit back knowing that every hour, we would find a block and that being part of a "super sized" pool, each and every participant would receive his tiny share of the reward, but the consistency would be there at at the end of the month or the end of the three month cycle I would find "X" bitcoin in my wallet. With SLUSH, we may have a slow day with 1 block, and the next day we may have a very exciting rush of blocks. Ultimately, and "on average", at the end of the month I would find that same number of Bitcoin in my wallet, but the "roller coaster ride" made it all worth the drama and excitement of mining with SLUSH. Typically any of the Bitcoin Calculators will tell you what to "expect" to earn in a given month. If you work with a "super sized" pool, you'll find that estimation to be fairly close. If you work with a less than "super sized" pool, you'll find that estimation to be fairly close. The way that I look at it is, do I want to be bored while waiting for my Bitcocin bank to build, or do I want DRAMA, and Excitement, and a bit of misery along the path to the bank, and every time, I choose SLUSH. Ride the roller coaster! Cool
