Luck seem to be doing what it does best, being unpredictable.

I wonder if the recent rise in the BTC price has brought some equipment out of retirement, which may account for the increased hash rate, however any idea of the hash rate staying stable is misguided when you bear in mind that Bitmain are about to start shipping new .5TH/s units.

I would predict a large increase in hashing in about a weeks time; this means that for difficulty, at least in the next few months, the only way is up.

could this be why my data lines are empty and my guiminer show 3500 confirmed.  I thought I was going nuts.

I think when I ordered my two S3's the ship time was from July 10th to the 20th, so they will probably dribble out some.  Probably a slow ramp instead of a quick jump.  I plan on phasing out and selling my S2's and replacing with S3's also so the jump might not be as dramatic.

Edit:  My S3 order was from the first batch.

You are right, https://blockchain.info/block-index/445911 shows that it was solved by Slush, perhaps the Blockchain web site is inaccurate.  You could try raising a ticket on this with Slush Support.

Blockchain always seems to be inaccurate when that happens.  is that a common problem with the blockchain?  Another thing, I currently have 1.8T pointed at Slush, but I'm not showing any kind of estimated reward.  Anyone else having this problem?

It isn't inaccurate on that one.  The block is clearly identified with slush's coinbase message in it.

what is considered a reasonable speed,  I currently show 75.2 Mh/s and have 4912 (55) accepted.  Is that too slow?  my account page @ mining.bitcoin.cz shows 0 activity across the board.  no estimated payouts or anything.  I even deleted my entire account and reopened it but no change.  I am more new than a newbie so bear with me.

I would say at least 333 Mh/s (1x Block Erupter) minimum although that would take a long time to build up 0.01BTC for the minimum withdrawl amount.

Pick up a Rockminer R-Box for <$75 and you will have a good 30+ Gh/s

It shows that with 1 TH/s - you can expect 0.2093 BTC per week.

With 75.2 MH/s - yo can expect 0.00001574 BTC per week...

CPU mining will kill your PC long before it even earns enough BTc for the deposit on a new one.

hi! im superbrandnew and i have a mini query!

i have a few ant miner u2's and i have a small setup planned for fun! but for the immediate testing, i have one plugged into my macbook and have cgminer running. i have joined slush's pool and everything seems to be working, chunks are coming in, being processed and the data is being seen at bitcoin.cz. i have an estimated reward sitting there.

after returning 6 hours later, i have the same estimated reward, but nothing in the unconfirmed or confirmed boxes.

is it just 0 until i/we hit a block?

We had a 9 hour block. Once it's completed you will see unconfirmed amount and then once confirmed you will your amount in green. There is a payout threshold of 0.01 minimum before sent to your wallet. Also, look at statitics page to follow conformations.

Oh no, it saves up until u reach 0.01 - just keep mining, if u leave or go another pool u can lose your estimated reward, but your unconfirmed reward is yours and paid out once confirmed and over 0.01

I see some folks have been having issues. I'll toss my 2cents in, my confirmed reward has dropped twice in the past week. What's the deal? I'm now lower than I was a week ago. May as well not even be on the pool.

The pool's avg. hashrate is higher now than a couple weeks ago plus with the recent difficulty increase, unless you keep adding more Gh/s, your rewards will eventually dwindle down to nothing.
