Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

We are getting beaten to death here !!!!! What up with these blocks The real bad new is that difficulty will just be going up unless there is a crash of some sort.

That's a loser right out of the box, negative ROI forever... Put the figures into any calculator.

This is off-topic but if someone can point me to the right spot, I would appreciate it.
I need to move my miners from a Windows 7 Machine to a Linux (SLAX) machine for at least a short term basis or maybe permanently. Is there an easy implementation of ANY miner software that anyone can recommend?
Thanks!

I'm running Antminer U1/U2s for a total of 20 GH/s. Been running them since February and have paid for them already since I don't pay for power in my apartment.

That's a loser right out of the box, negative ROI forever... Put the figures into any calculator. That is true for any mining hardware currently for sale. Last I knew 1 TB units were $1,500, I see an 800 gh/s unit for about $400 and get all excited....Hmmm, but like you ran the calculator and with difficulty doubled since I powered down my asic erupter farm...sadly, since the beginning of the year any hardware purchase, only the people selling the tools are striking gold.

I have 3 Dragon 1T miners available to buy for $599 each. They are hosted in China by Pcfli (on this forum) so it's simply a matter of transferring ownership. You can use Paypal if you want. Message me if you want one (or three).

About 0.011 a month given 100% uptime. I got them all very cheap from eBay. I started out with those and then quickly got 3+TH miners which I just sold off. Don't think I broke even in the end but it was a lot of fun. Learned a ton of new skills at the same time. Should have kept those U2 miners as conversation pieces.

Really? It gets slow and everyone wants to persecute Slush. There are plenty of other pools out there. JT

If you mine on a small pool (slush) then the daily and weekly "pool luck" is pretty meaningless. The only figure worth looking at is the 1 month "pool luck" and even that needs to be looked at longer term.
just my 2p
