Tbh i have no idea as i dont have the gear to measure it on my test setup, i know the 750ti is TDP locked @ 38,5watts i have 2 of thees just for testing purpose. One of them is flashed to 65,5watts TDP while the other one is stock TDP. Crypto mining blog already did some testing on 750ti http://cryptomining-blog.com/tag/gtx-750-ti-power-consumption/ http://cryptomining-blog.com/3036-power-usage-of-geforce-gtx-750-ti-with-various-crypto-algorithms/
The r9 280x https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison or simply google r9 280x dc2t 3gd5 mining power consumption there will be plenty of reading on people oc and undervolting thoes cards.

Hope that helped abit  Smiley

Unfortunately, unless they are specifically mining at NF=16, there's not really a great gauge.  Because of the memory requirements of the coin, not all of the shaders can be utilized, so the card is running at a portion of it's full capabilities.  The best way to tell is to plug your system into a kill-a-watt or similar device and take an idle reading of the watts, and then take a reading while running various mining configurations.  You may find that a slightly lower hashrate (perhaps from a lower lookup-gap) yields a higher hash-per-watt, and that may be of interest to some people.  I haven't taken wattage readings since NF=14, but I was measuring about 25W per R7 240 at that time, and ~32W per R7 250.

Not to mention the efficiency of the psu will also have a impact on the system as a whole. 25W from a R7 240 is nice, something tells me they will outshine the 750ti when NF gets even higher as you can get them in 4Gb versions compared to the 750ti with only 2Gb.

Spot on about the power supply.  I prefer to use the evga supernova 650G (gold efficiency power supply) on my rigs.  Another builder used generic grey box PS on his and his efficiency isn't quite as good as mine - I think it may even be as high as 10W per card difference.  Do I think I saved the $40-50 difference between to different units in a year?  My math tells me it's about $10 per card per year cheaper at $.125 per KWH, so actually, I do.  Now, if I am done with a rig for a reason, I have a premium PS left over for some other project or for sale, and it's got fairly low utilization because that rig uses well under 50% of the capacity of that PSU.

Rule #1: Don't cut corners on the power supply unit: Gold Plus or above.

I learned that lesson the hard way... Sad

I'm hoping to have a testing version of 0.4.5 out in the next week. This will only be going out to the dev team initially though, but it should be ready for overall testing within the next month.

Just wondering how this is going.   And what features it may include.  Smiley

FREE publicity for YACoin, get it while it's still free,

for your coin,
for your product,
for your service,
for yourself!

If you have a press release about YACoin and want us to publish it, we will.
If you have an article about YACoin and you want us to publish it, we will.

If you have YACoin  tee shirts and want us to sell it, and want us to only accept YACoin for payment, we will.

If you want to have a small size banner advertising YACoin in our publication we could do that too.

ALL OF THE ABOVE ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!   well at least for the month of NOVEMBER -- who passes up on free publicity?

When it's from someone who offers it to every single alt-coin, I would personally pass on it.
Now, if someone who really believed in YAC offered free publicity - that would be a whole different story.

Going well. I've been a bit short on free time for the past two weeks, but for the most part everything is ready. I don't want to mention any features yet though until testing is complete.

More updates soon Wink

There are 1100+ coins, we targeted 50 coins to make a direct offer to, of that amount we have only reached out to 30 coins so far --
that means YAC was one of our top 30 favorite coins.

While you personally question our intentions the offer is ticking away.

My hope is, if or when your coin has any such offer that you/they would feel comfortable enough to come to EMC2 to share it with us
because we certainly would not pass it up.

I love the suspense. I love the vibe of YACoin: like a lion lying in the weeds, ready to pounce Smiley

PoW has always been so steadily profitable, especially relative to other coins, and PoS is already starting to be a worthy endeavor. I admire the balance--long-term!

I couple of questions....

*bump*  Anyone else having problems?  I switched to yac.m-s-t.org because I was having problem with the other pools.  Now I'm down to about 2% of my usual earnings....  I'm thinking about trying to find another pool in the morning....

Has anyone else been having connection issues with yac.m-s-t.org?  I looked at my 'unconfirmed balance' (ie coins mined in the last 520 blocks) and it was much lower then normal.  I looked at a few of the miners, and they all have some kind timeout/connection error.

Code:
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] Stratum connection timed out
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] Stratum connection interrupted
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] thread 2: 1783 hashes, 30 hash/s
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] thread 3: 1789 hashes, 30 hash/s
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] thread 0: 1790 hashes, 30 hash/s
[2014-11-05 13:17:10] thread 1: 1780 hashes, 30 hash/s
[2014-11-05 13:17:32] Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to yac.m-s-t.org
:3333; No error
[2014-11-05 13:17:32] ...retry after 30 seconds
[2014-11-05 13:18:23] stratum_recv_line failed
[2014-11-05 13:18:23] ...retry after 30 seconds
[2014-11-05 13:19:14] Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to yac.m-s-t.org
:3333; No error
[2014-11-05 13:19:14] ...retry after 30 seconds
[2014-11-05 13:20:06] Stratum connection failed: Failed connect to yac.m-s-t.org
:3333; No error
[2014-11-05 13:20:06] ...retry after 30 seconds
[2014-11-05 13:21:16] stratum_subscribe timed out
[2014-11-05 13:21:16] ...retry after 30 seconds

And any chance of getting this fixed?

It looks like the faucet on the website is down.... https://faucet.yacoin.org/

And I think I'm overly excited, but any NEW updates on the next wallet version?  Its been a few weeks...

I couple of questions....

*bump*  Anyone else having problems?  I switched to yac.m-s-t.org because I was having problem with the other pools.  Now I'm down to about 2% of my usual earnings....  I'm thinking about trying to find another pool in the morning....

Yea, I was having the same issue, but it seems to be working now?

The hashrate has skyrocketed the past few hours. Over 200 khash/s is crazy considering what the best one graphics card can get. I'm wondering if there is a multipool out there that is on YAC? I say it's definitely a good thing if that is the case...

...
my yac lost ?

It seems coins got to the destination address:

http://explore.grokonet.com/?address=Y6VGzRr3c7HKkQT2kcGc3oYZPmvrj6Nypj
http://explorer.yacoin.net/address/Y6VGzRr3c7HKkQT2kcGc3oYZPmvrj6Nypj

Perhaps transaction wasn't accepted in the block right away.

Anyway you should contact bter if transfered funds aren't listed in your balance.

YBCoin is no longer going to be a scrypt chacha coin so expect some of the miners to come either to yac or utc.
