A lot of activity here  Cheesy

To everyone, be so kind to have a look at this thread on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Anoncoin/comments/2j79ze/anonymity_of_cryptocurrencies_we_need_this_wiki/

And also, about the logo, I'm not sure if we need a new one right now, I'm personally OK with the current one (that you can see on the main wiki page). But as I like creativity I started this wiki page with a listing of propositions, just to keep an eye on what can be done: https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Logo

Great idea about adding more info to the Wiki page

I like the current logo too

Zercoin beta starts tomorrow 10/15 at 23:00 UTC!

Let's educate the world! Once everyone realised how superior zerocoin is to all the coinjoin based coins (darkcoin etc), I think the ANC could rocket upwards very quickly.

This is an exciting time for crypto

It would honestly make no sense if my coins after a withdrawal are gone due to a faulty. I would get furious. Im waiting patiently but my patience is running low.

Your coins are 100% safe. Bittrex should have made this clear to you.  Essentially your transaction is "stuck" because bittrex created a transaction larger than 100KB.  Our deamon has some sort of bug that allows this sort of transaction to occur and we are trying to figure out where the bug is so we can fix it.  Please do not worry because your coins ARE STILL IN THE BITTREX WALLET, bittrex just needs to combine some inputs and re-send your coins.

Coins are 100% safe... don't worry about that.

Devs, what is the fix here?  manually cleaning up withdrawals is not a long term solution.  Should we disable withdrawals until the bug is fixed?

thanks,
richie

What about manually clearing the current withdrawals and then disable withdrawals for further bug fixes?

Convo me & Bittrex-Richie > Richiela

16:22:34Clyze
hey
18:08:23Clyze
I have a few questions re; anoncoin withdrawal taking 32+ hours now
18:22:43bittrex-richie
do you have a ticket open?
18:22:52Clyze
Yes Smiley
18:43:18bittrex-richie
number?
18:43:27
we are having problems with a few ANC withdrawals
18:43:34
its the wallet being completely whacked
18:43:50
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227287.msg8354734#msg8354734
18:49:33Clyze
Thanks for your reply: number: 10497
18:50:08
I am curious how long this wil take, because some groundbreaking deadlines re; anoncoin are launching soon, i expect a lot of volatility.. so access to my coins would be..... pretty useful if not a necessity
18:50:57
I am very sorry for taking your time, i hope you understand my concerns
18:53:58bittrex-richie
i do.. but as you can see from the BCT thread, the wallet does something stupdi and its not easy for us to fix
18:54:09
i can easily credit your account and you can re-withdrawal
18:54:16
but the problem is that this transaction might clear by itself
18:54:50Clyze
What if you clear it and I basically withdraw smaller amounts at the time
18:55:05
would it go through then due to a smaller transaction size?
18:57:22Clyze
i have decided its okay for you to credit it back to my account. Ill continue trading on Bittrex Smiley
18:57:31
Untill the problem is solved
19:10:20bittrex-richie
well the problem is if i credit you back and you trade it away, this transation might clear when they update the wallet
19:10:30
i dont know if/when this transaction is clear
19:10:38
and i dont know of an easy way to remove a singe transaction from the wallet
19:10:48
add to that, we have to wait 48 hours for the mempool to clear Sad
19:11:41Clyze
are you kidding me, so basically you're telling me that my funds will be stuck for a couple of days?
19:16:03Clyze
My friend, i understand that this whole wallet thing is an issue but I have more than 1000USD invested in ANC. The volatility of this coin is crazy and if I cant reach my funds during these periods.... are you telling me that due to a faulty my investment is at risk for the next couple of days?
19:19:54Clyze
Could you atleast give me an estimation how long it will take to solve this wallet issue? Thanks for your kind words

Note that i am not trying to spread FUD, I would like access to my funds again due to the volatility of cryptocurrency markets. As much as I feel ANC is a safe investment, having access to funds to anticipate on market movement is a pre imo.

Cheers,

Clyze

Hey guys,

Hopefully someone can give me answer. I have sent 300 anoncoins to cryptsy 2 days ago and they have not received. Just looked at the transaction on my wallet and i see that it hasn't been confirmed. Is there a problem with anoncoin. Hopefully I haven't lost any coins.

+1000 for making this clear to a monkey like me.
Much appreciated buddy.

That's a sign of a great team. I had a similar situation where I had StealthCoins stuck between Poloniex and Bittrex, so I can really sympathize with you. I felt compelled to respond even though I have nothing really to say other than I'm with you. It looks like you in the clear wit the fork issue. Still I'll bet you'll sigh with relief once your transaction goes through. It took 4 days for them to resolve my stealth problem. Now hopefully Anoncoin will go sky high.

Hey Meeh / Gnosis, A few questions regarding tomorrow and mainly the rest of the week. So I think we all recognize that hopefully ZC will hit the testnet this week. Can you put together some instructions and or instructions so we as members of the community can help with the testing phase? Like a FAQ about what the changes are, what we need to do now to properly utilize the new changes. Who and how we should try to document any bugs/comments/user feedback. Also for those of us mining or deciding to help with that sort of the process for the test net, comments and suggestions for that. I think we all recognize you are working some long days and aren't looking for comments on these questions immediately but maybe after you finish the changes ( i know you made it sound like it would be finished in the wee hours of the morning). Obviously the more we can help with stress testing now/soonish, the quicker we can help get any bugs/issues/glitche pinpointed and smoothed out ahead of time! Help make use of the community so those with anxious negative concerns can do something about their griping as opposed to just pissing and moaning about how anc smells bad lol - oh also do we need to mine coins on testnet in order to help test transactions? (i assume you are making a new chain with new code to full test/vet/ stuff? just wondering ^_^)

Man sometimes I see people posting logos and designs and think to myself, what if I also only think that I'm good at this stuff but that I actually suck like all these other guys. Then going and asking for donations too... damn.

Everyone thinks their design is good, or they wouldn't post them. This includes you.

The reason I would ask for donations (again, upon completion and utilization, and primarily to further work on other content) is due to my extremely limited stake in the coin. I currently hold very little BTC or ANC, and it becomes a matter of where I should invest my time.

The point of working on a logo to begin with is to possibly come across a better design that could enhance the value of the coin itself by giving it a better and cleaner look than it currently has. This is only a first version, and an iteration of it actually has some design elements that you used in your own design. Lastly, it was a friend of mine who asked me to make a new logo about two weeks ago - I'm merely late to the party.

I personally love the artwork around coins. I'm not much of an artist myself. I've started a Pinterest board around the art, I think someday it would be great if they published a book around it.

If you just mistyped the password you should give it a try. You can list multiple passwords that you may have used and let johntheripper have a go at it going through the most likely typos for you. If you didn't mistype it too bad you should be able to recover it in a day. If it doesn't crack in a day or two, walletrecoveryservices. Wish you luck!

The most obvious mistake is people having mistakenly added a 'v' at the end, from having copy/pasted it. Might as well try it

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

I have some news: the testnet will be delayed by 7 days. This is necessary because the code is not as close to being ready as I had anticipated when I made that estimate.

I have come up with a schedule for remaining components to finish. I will give updates at ~8:00 UTC each day with what parts of the schedule I have finished the previous day (I am at a UTC-7 timezone). Whenever possible, I will also provide evidence that the functionality works. Here's the schedule:

10-1410-1510-1610-1710-1810-1910-2010-21
CWalletCoinzerocoin_wallet storage
RPC mint txn
relaying mint txns
accum. chkpts in block
wallet witness update
wallet mint logic
refactor CoinSpend
RPC create spend + impl.
store own spend pieces locally
RPC get seeding spend proofs
net: seed spends
net: receive and verify spends
store received spend pieces
wallet spend logic
debugging
(GUI if time permits)
debuggingdebugging

I know that one week may seem like forever to some of you who have been eagerly watching this thread and IRC, but this is only a 15% increase in the time required since I started working full time on this, so not an unusual delay compared to similar large software projects.

The new launch date and time will be 2014-10-22 at 16:00 UTC.

EDIT 10-18: I realize now that I messed up the columns. Fixed.

So this is where I get even more impatient. CAN I GET A CLARIFICATION WHEN I WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS MY FUNDS? Is it going to take a day, two days, a week, a month?

Thanks Bittrex, for making me hold when the market is finding a bottom.
Conspiracies.
