Some things to think about

Many other individuals, and groups are working on anonymous coins. It is very safe to say that many of those people are more experienced with altcoins and cryptography than gnosis.

Also what happened to the idea of copyleft and similar supposed values? Anc basically has an undelivered algo, by an unknown developer, which will be ready at an unknown date, and people are pretending it is some prize that must be protected?

How is it safe to say that at all???  Also all that the community is asking for is that the ANC Zerocoin github is started to be made public in eight weeks time instead of two.  A brand new account posted the above quote too???  I think the followers of this thread should get used to the idea of lots of shill accounts also popping up in the thread to attack the coin.  Most likely long term fanboys and bagholders of other coins trying to release an anonymous coin.  A trustless implementation of the Zerocoin protocol has long been considered the holy grail of transaction anonymity.  The only other protocol that even comes close is the ring-signature technique of cryptonote coins like Monero.  The CoinJoin technique that most of these wanna-be 'anoncoins' are implementing is not really anonymous and only obfuscates transactions from simple analysis.

Gnosis had a full time job back then leaving little time for ANC. Now he is working on ANC full time (at least until Oct 1st) so he should be able to give a lot more attention to the project.

Negotiation was not possible, since the Zerocoin team at JHU ignored my attempts to reach out for months, and I have credited them in the past, and will also credit them in the Anoncoin app when Zerocoin is released. Furthermore, they obviously no longer have a stake in libzerocoin, as they started from scratch to design a new system that they believe is better. I disagree with that belief since there is apparently no way to generate the parameters in a trustless manner, so I am building on their original system.

Also, it is not a trivial matter to add RSA UFO support (which I have completed a couple days ago), and integrate it into a working crypto-currency (which I am now working on). This is why no other coins have added Zerocoin, AFAIK.

Of course if it turns out to be a useful product people will copy it, just as anc has copied extensively from others. That is not the problem. Rather the problem is that anc seems to have little other than this long awaited zerocoin. Is there something else that anc has? There are good pirates and there are bad pirates.

I think we have potential to join DOGE on the moon here. Before we contribute to the ANC rocket ship plan can we get a confirmation about our github code concerns? Instead of a 2 week delay can we wait to publish anything until we are ready for our actual moon launch?

I would hate to see another coin take our code while we are in testnet and launch to the moon before we can!

The point was that anc took advantage of their "intellectual property" without their permission but now some want to claim that work as proprietary to anc. I have no respect for "intellectual property" rights and was not criticizing the use of zerocoin. I was criticizing the hypocrisy.

Gnosis worked tons of hours on zerocoin implementation. The code on which it is based has nothing to do with the current zerocoin.
Don't be afraid of ANC dude, just buy some and enter in the game. It's not too late. The price is very low today. In some weeks, we will be on the top 3.

To top Ripple and get to #3 ANC would have to be worth $116 each, by my calcs. If Zerocoin is successful it will be a monumental step for cryptocurrency. Considering the low supply side sell pressure for a tightly held, low supply coin, and the demand for ANC with ZC, I think it could get there but it would be a phenomenal thing!

Yupp. And we actually need some more selling pressure... I would like to purchase more anoncoin, but if I want any significant amount I will have to clear the orderbook beyond 0.0025... there is very little ANC for sale.
