I'm now offering 1000 / 1500 DVC to each person who votes to add DVC / BTC to Cryptsy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408884

EDIT: if anyone wants to donate DVC to help keep this alive (or so I can increase the reward - I want 1000 people voting for it on Cryptsy) 1M8A5WqBuQYU8yBfWeEp9jZTMzCfHxv5Bg

People are dumping bitcoins too. Both bitcoins and devcoins have been available cheap lately.

A great time to be a buyer.

Place buy orders below current prices in steps downward, and as they sell put them back on the sell side above current prices going up in steps.

Nice income to be made that way.

It goes in waves, a while back all my sell orders up through 193 Satoshis per coin got bought, then came this downward move where more and more cheaper and cheaper buy orders are getting taken up giving me more devcoins with which to replenish my sell orders ready for the next upswing.

-MarkM-

Lets make 2014 the year of devcoin by raising our sell limits above way higher!

I dont sell my coins on the basis that a wave will end with a bull run that wont retrace.. so you will be left off the ride.. imagine if it kept going? You would buy higher then? I been around
stocks too long to see this.. its coiled up thats why Im not selling hoping to double coins by selling and
buying back because when the real move up comes I know
I will make way more by just focusing on earning now and holding.

Liquidity is inportant but its up to us on where that should be in price.

Oh I have hundreds of millions of coins held long term, for example there are 210 million locked up in backing dDVC tokens for my Digitalis Open Transactions server. Whenever Open Transactions really does get its "clients for Grandmas" working I expect I will have to lock up even more so as to issue even more dDVC tokens.

I only have maybe a hundred million or hundred fifty million or so doing liquidity on Vircurex. My sell orders are on every Satoshi of price from somewhere over 300 Satoshis I think, on down however far current buy orders have provided me enough coins to do, which right now is only down to 77 Satoshis.

So I am well placed for the eventual long term higher prices but I suspect a lot of getting there will be due to piling more and more larger and larger buy offers, so that eventually it would take all the devcoins in existence to eat them all up.

FWIW, Cryptsy used to do DVC/BTC. Now they do XPM/BTC and LTC/BTC. I'm not sure why they removed the BTC link though.

Weekend Board Updates
Nova was working on the email portion of the site but has released his code. TMK it is half finished. If anyone wants to pick that up please do so. Otherwise if enough time goes on I'll jump on this. I'm plenty busy without it though.

That release has been outdated with the handling of the challenge–response in progress. It is still being worked on by me. Also have a hook started on http://trollkeep.com/forum/ to handle outgoing email postings to non-registered Forum Members.

TMK is "to my knowledge" most likely. The incoming emails part is under revision adding the challenge–response handling. At the same time a hook has been added to the forum on http://trollkeep.com/forum/ to handle email postings to registered and non-registered Forum Members. You can follow that progress via the "My Messages" -> "Send an Email" menu choice.

You're correct, I read that wrong (didn't read the It is) read it as TMK is. At any rate, let me know if you need help or if TenThirtyOne needs anything.

Addresses don't show on the network until coins are sent to them.

So if that is your Devtome address but you have not received coin there yet it makes sense that the network was not seen it yet.

Though usually Unthinkingbit does a test send to make sure you listed the right address..

also someone just informed me that coin i sent them got there ok then they sent it to cryptsy and it didnt show up in his account . could there be any connection ? just thought i would put this out there as it seems odd to me . jason

They might have sent it to their internal cryptsy transfer address, instead of going to 'Balance', then clicking on the coin button and generating a devcoin network receiving address, although the devcoin sending wallet usually throws an error in that case. Cryptsy internal transfers are recognizable as they don't use any caps (IIRC) i.e. - 88300jhg000003j87c600000bbsf0000hh26vdds0000. Cryptsy sometimes takes 20+ confirmations for some reason. They can check that by going to the 'Balance' page and scrolling to the bottom to look at pending transactions.

Duh ime stupid !  thank you guys , i must be losing it i didnt notice that my wallet had generated a different recieving address  question solved lol  thanks again for look though.

Jason,

You put me on the spot and asked for a random quote on a project with no specifics in front of the whole community. I provided the quote in public forum with further questions to clarify.

I have a quote system that usually overcomes a client not knowing what he needs on the site but I figured Id be nice, its a community thing and you asked in the community forum so I set to working it out for you. I don't think many businesses would be comfortable doing that, but like I said I felt it was a community thing... Now I don't expect you to accept it but any comment, (All feedback is good and I am thick skinned) at least acknowledges the time spent working on your project for you.

I used to do all my quotes this way and this is why we now have a quote system on our site.

I have a thought on Devtome articles that I would like to share but Im still new enough to have no idea really, so any correction will be received with an attempt at grace  Cool

I know I am allowed use and to link to articles I have published elsewhere (basically) and that anyone can then reuse my work as long it is  attributed, but where do I stand if I republish my own work? Do I attribute it in the same way, using Devtome as the source? If so, this could be quite a valuable tip for increasing Devtome content on the search engines (related to quality of inbound links and relevancy etc) or am I being kind of sneaky?

for example: Im still working on a "Bitcoins for idiots" blog in my spare time (its going to take a while), cataloging my less than spectacular exploits (beginning with the first scammers I fell for) on its own site. Some of my posts I could use this content I can use and link back to Devtome, or I could create the articles on Devtome first, and then use them on my blog attributed... (I guess referring to others work on Devtome would also have the same effect.)

Any thoughts on this in terms of impact on raising awareness, and in the long term - the future advertising/marketing revenue?
