Dear @PhoenixMiner,

Is it possible to detect which card initiates error (for example error 999) and somehow log this info?

It will help to setup overclocking parameters of cards if I will know which one has initiated a problem.

Now log when error is thrown looks like the following

These are the settings I used with Claymore. Will these work with Phoenix Miner? I am currently mining with Phoenix but getting slightly lower results.

Rig has 13 GPUs with six RX580 and seven 1070 TI cards. All 13 are mining at 31.0 - 31.2 mh/s. I used to get 33 mh/s with the 1070 ti cards in Claymore. So I would like to tweak it but am not familiar with the Phoenix Miner command options.

Here's a typical Claymore batch file for one of my rigs. There's 13 GPUs per rig: 7x1070ti and 6xRX580. All cards have 8GB RAM:

I got to ask. Is it true that all cryptos are contributing to mass global warming in the world? just wondering..  Huh
1 car can deliver to atmosphere more than 500gpu heat can.and also car has co2 exhaust too which adds more heat

I can confirm higher power usage, but it´s not since 5.4c, it started with 5.3.

pls do some optimization...for 5700 cards, there´s no need to change anything for getting same hashrate with higher power consumption

Can confirm that an RTX 3060 TI  (MSI Ventus 2) reaches almost 60MH/s mining ETH with this miner, with latest driver (457.51) and Windows 10.
In MSI Afterburner I dial in  powerlimit of 62%,  which leaves GPU core running at around 825 MHz. and I have mem overclocked to 7800.
Temp reported in MSI AB is 53 deg, fan auto at 53%.   Power consumption reported by miner is 123Watts.

Just an update on this issue:  v5.3b seems to be moving in the right direction - all of my GPUs mine, now, but they each see about 18MH less hashrate on v5.3b versus what I still get on v5.0e.  Again, with this version, downgrading to v5.0e resolves the issue without rebooting.  If it's helpful, the starting hashrate for v5.3b during autotuning is only about half of what it is in v5.0e.  I hope this helps.


I wanted to report an issue I ran into on v5.2e for mixed-gen ETH mining on one XFX RX 5700 8GB + one XFX RX 480 8GB + one MSI RX 480 8GB on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (via minerstatOS) with amdgpu-pro v19.30 drivers.  When I upgraded to v5.2e, I saw my RX 5700 take approximately an hour to build its DAG file, and then yield 0 hashrate, and the two RX 480s only produced about a third of their normal hashrate.  I previously saw the same behavior with all PhoenixMiner v5.1x versions, as well.

Rolling back to v5.0e immediately resolves the issue without a reboot.  I have used a few versions of the PhoenixMiner for about ten months on this mixed-gen rig without issue, so this has been something introduced after v5.0e.  In case it's any help, I am including a few log excerpts, though I never saw any suspicious messages or error logs to report.

I'll hang around for a week or so until DAG epoch 384, when v5.0e dies off.  Then, one way or another, I'll stop posting about this.

Things are relative here.  My RX 5700 do 10% lower hash but with same power.  I like to keep my cards at below 60 deg reported.
Room temp is 23-24 a bit warm

It runs beautifully  at 63.4 MHs with low power 130W once it starts at low mem clock , but if you start with higher mem clock it gets many invalids.

It runs beautifully  at 63.4 MHs with low power 130W once it starts at low mem clock , but if you start with higher mem clock it gets many invalids.


So I'm not the only one here having this problem
I have an Asus 3070 and I can reach 61 Mhs without any problem, but if I increase my overclock before start the miner, I have almost all invalid shares, but if I increase slowly with miner running, no problem, until the next epoch when I have all invalid shares again

I'm wonder here if this is really a problem with drivers and miner or just too much overclock, now I'm using + 1099 on memories and only 1% of invalid shares

Linux Install for EthOS.. Help needed.

I use EthOS and my rigs are mostly with 5.0 or 5.1 PhoenixMiner. I used the Ethos update option. It refers to GitHub for third party miner install script for Ethos. But it updates the PhoenixMiner to 5.3b edition, not the latest 5.4c edition.

I see instructions to download the .exe file for Windows. Can someone point me towards EthOs Install for 5.4c edition without using Ethos miner manager?

Its there just in /opt/miners/phoenixminer
do a ls in there and you will see itunder folder /PhoenixMiner_5.4c_linux

just have to copy the file up a directory level and will fix it.

will need to do a chmod +x on the miner file after copy
